With Rong Yi's cooking, Ouyang Zixin was able to tend to the wounds exposed on his body, even though he was covered in Mysterious Energy. As for the injuries on his body, not even Old Xuan Physician dared to easily uncover them, let alone Rong Yi.
Rong Yi was well aware of his own Mysterious Energy. If he were to remove his clothing, that unstable Mysterious Energy could cause unforeseen consequences. Rong Yi himself was not afraid; he only worried that if the Mysterious Energy ran rampant, it might harm Ouyang Zixin.
After washing his hands, Rong Yi led Old Xuan Physician and Yun Tianmo out of the room, where Bai Su anxiously approached him, asking about Ouyang Zixin's condition.
After a good deal of reassurance, Bai Su finally felt relieved. However, the thought that she could not go in to see her daughter brought her to tears. Her daughter had been pampered since childhood and had never been hurt before; seeing her in such a serious condition was heartbreaking.
Old Xuan Physician wanted to speak up but was silenced by a glare from Rong Yi and quickly retreated. He meant well and wanted to help Rong Yi gain some credit, but he did not realize that Rong Yi did not need his assistance.
Although Ouyang Hao and Rong Yi had been rivals in the past, they were now both older men. Ouyang Hao and Bai Su had such a grown daughter, making them seem more like long-time friends who enjoyed a bit of friendly rivalry.
"You two, go inside and attend to her," said Rong Yi. Despite the years apart, he still recognized Liu Ying and Liu Lu and motioned for them to enter the room.
"The rest of you can go about your business." There was no point in staying here. The last time Ouyang Zixin absorbed Yun Tianmo's Mysterious Energy took about two days; this time it was uncertain how long it would take.
Rong Yi had traveled a long way and needed to clean up and rest properly.
Ouyang Hao then called for Lin Ma to make arrangements since guests should be treated well. Moreover, he still needed to treat his daughter.
Xuan Shi Mansion had guest rooms, but Rong Yi refused, saying it would be fine to arrange a room in Yuexin Pavilion for convenience in treating Ouyang Zixin. Given his age, staying at Yuexin Pavilion was acceptable, but it still made Ouyang Hao feel somewhat uncomfortable since she was his daughter.
Looking disdainfully at Ouyang Hao's conflicted expression, Rong Yi joked, "Are you thinking of making me your godparent for convenience?"
Ouyang Hao thought silently that he had no intention of making such an arrangement with him. Even if they did become godparents, he wouldn't want Rong Yi staying at Yuexin Pavilion.
Not wanting to continue this awkwardness with Rong Yi, Ouyang Hao simply took Bai Su away. Out of sight meant out of mind; after all, he had his own matters to attend to. No one in Xuan Shi Mansion would stop him anyway. He might as well let things be as they were.
In the end, Rong Yi naturally stayed at Yuexin Pavilion, right next to Ouyang Zixin's room.
Old Man and Yun Tianmo left as well. Though reluctant, Old Man dared not linger under Yun Tianmo's cold gaze and left quietly.
Once everyone had departed, Rong Yi turned around and re-entered Ouyang Zixin's room.
Liu Ying and Liu Lu were about to bow when he stopped them casually, saying, "We're all familiar with each other, so there's no need for all this formality."
The two maidservants exchanged smiles. It had been many years since they last met, and Master Rong's temperament hadn't changed much; however, the young lady...
"Alright, don't look so worried. Since I'm here, I won't let anything happen to this girl." Thinking about how he hadn't had tea brewed by Ouyang Zixin in many years, he felt a bit nostalgic. He smacked his lips and said, "For the sake of the tea, you can't just lie there like that."
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, five days had gone by.
During these five days, Bai Su came to see Ouyang Zixin every day, but unfortunately, she hadn't seen her even once. As a new day began again, she was feeling increasingly anxious and arrived early at Yuexin Pavilion.
"Brother Rong, please let me see Xin'er." With a mother's heart hanging in suspense, she felt as if she could hardly breathe. Five days had passed like this, and she didn't even know how she had endured it.
Seeing Bai Su's haggard appearance, Rong Yi sighed and said, "Susu, you have to trust me."
He had said this countless times already, but while Bai Su claimed to trust him, she still came every day to inquire about her daughter, growing more anxious with each passing day.
Immediately, Bai Su nodded and said, "Of course I trust Brother Rong, but I just want to see my daughter. Please let me..."
"Madam..." Ouyang Hao's voice followed as he quickly walked over to Bai Su's side and supported her. "Why have you come here again? Didn't Rong Yi say that if Xin'er wakes up, we will be notified immediately?"
Bai Su hadn't rested well for five days; she hadn't even been able to eat properly. Seeing his wife grow increasingly haggard while their daughter remained unseen weighed heavily on Ouyang Hao's heart.
"Master Rong, the young lady..." Liu Ying's joyful voice came from outside before the door swung open and she hurried out. Upon seeing Ouyang Hao and Bai Su there as well, she was about to bow but was interrupted by Bai Su urging her to quickly tell them what happened to Xin'er.
"The Mysterious Energy has completely disappeared."
The three of them did not hesitate and hurried into the room. Indeed, they saw that the brilliant Mysterious Energy surrounding Ouyang Zixin had vanished entirely; it seemed she had absorbed it all.
Nodding at Ouyang Hao and Bai Su, Rong Yi stepped forward to check her pulse.
The pulse was still relatively stable without any abnormalities. Ouyang Zixin's constitution was truly unpredictable; first she absorbed Yun Tianmo's Mysterious Energy and now Rong Yi's Mysterious Energy. Yet from the pulse reading, there was no sign of conflict that should arise from different types of Mysterious Energy.
Seeing Rong Yi frown made Bai Su's heart leap into her throat. She wanted to ask but felt scared instead; all she could do was tightly grip Lin Ma's hand beside her until it turned red from the pressure.
Lin Ma quietly comforted Ouyang Zixin while feeling anxious about her condition.
"The Mysterious Energy didn't hurt her," Rong Yi finally withdrew his hand and spoke calmly. "Liu Ying has learned a few things from me before; let her clean the wound."
Upon hearing this, Liu Ying quickly went to prepare, while Liu Lvy also kept busy, ready to assist.
Bai Su, who had just seen her daughter, realized she would be driven out again and took a few more glances at her daughter before reluctantly turning to leave the room.
"Is it time to treat the wound now?" Ouyang Hao walked alongside Rong Yi. From his expression, it seemed that Ouyang Zixin's condition was not as serious as he had thought.
Rong Yi snorted coldly and said, "Do you think it's that simple?"
Just as Ouyang Hao was about to ask more, he noticed Bai Su turning around. He didn't dare say anything that might worry her and decided to keep it to himself for now. He hurriedly turned back and whispered that he would see her in the study before helping Bai Su back to the backyard.
"Susu is still so worried," Rong Yi sighed lightly as he watched Bai Su's retreating figure, his eyes filled with affection. However, when he saw another figure nearby, that affection turned into disdain.
Well then, let's focus on treating the Girl properly.

P.S.: Communication between people is really important; what could have been a small issue can escalate due to poor communication. Sigh, Kouxin has been playing the role of a caring big sister these days, so the update schedule has been a bit chaotic.
