The nearly colorless Mysterious Energy began to circulate within her Mind, as she tried to imagine how that night controlled A Three's headband. Ouyang Zixin repeatedly projected her Mysterious Energy, attempting to penetrate the Black Wind and connect with the Ancient Mystic Beast. Unfortunately, the Ancient Mystic Beast was currently furious, and the blue Mysterious Energy mixed with the Black Wind, effectively blocking Ouyang Zixin's Mysterious Energy from getting through.
Sito Rongyan, looking like a bloodied figure, was breathing heavily; if this continued, she would surely die within that Black Wind.
Eye Power, Eye Power, what exactly is Eye Power?
Anxiously, beads of sweat began to form on her forehead. Ouyang Zixin's eyes were fixed tightly on the Ancient Mystic Beast at the center of the Black Wind. The Mysterious Energy in her Mind kept circulating, condensing, and releasing. After several attempts, her body started to sway unsteadily.
—Master.
Just as Ouyang Zixin was about to exhaust all of her Mysterious Energy, Nameless appeared.
"Release your Mysterious Energy; I need to use it." Ouyang Zixin commanded Nameless quickly to come help. Nameless's Mysterious Energy could be utilized by her here in the secret realm. They had already collaborated countless times before.
Nameless nodded, then closed his eyes, raising his hands high. He was murmuring something, and a colorful Mysterious Energy was released from his forehead, surging towards Ouyang Zixin's brow.
With Nameless's Mysterious Energy as a supplement, Ouyang Zixin instantly felt much lighter. The transparent Mysterious Energy intertwined with the colorful Mysterious Energy, condensing within her Mind. This time, Ouyang Zixin did not rush to release the Mysterious Energy, but instead compressed it further. Eventually, it formed a thin, twisted semi-physical state. With a loud shout, she shot the Mysterious Energy towards the center of the Black Wind.
The shimmering Mysterious Energy, though appearing thin, had a hardness that was absolutely beyond what Ouyang Zixin could achieve on her own.
It seemed as if the Black Wind had been pierced by a needle, becoming chaotic. The spot where Ouyang Zixin stood had originally been free of any Black Wind, but after the Mysterious Energy penetrated it, the Black Wind began to swirl wildly, nearly scratching Ouyang Zixin's face several times.
"Little girl, are you seeking death?"
The Ancient Mystic Beast finally noticed Ouyang Zixin's actions, its furious voice echoing through the cave.
Exhaling a breath of foul air, Ouyang Zixin retracted her Mysterious Energy, saying, "Old man, I had no choice. You couldn't hear me at all; I had to resort to this desperate measure."
The chaos of the Black Wind was only momentary. It was soon brought back under control by the Ancient Mystic Beast, and the wind gradually subsided.
When the Black Wind completely disappeared, Ouyang Zixin hurried forward. She wanted to see if Sito Rongyan was dead, but was stopped by the Ancient Mystic Beast.
Today, this human woman would not be easily let go.
Sito Rongyan had killed Little Purple, forcibly taken its Purple-Eyed Beast, and even had someone skin it. Not only did the Ancient Mystic Beast feel this was too much, but even when Ouyang Zixin learned of it at that time, she thought it was utterly excessive.
Yet even so, Sito Rongyan could not die here.
This hunt was organized by the Three Kingdoms, with each Sovereign personally selecting the noble offspring from prominent families. Regardless of the strength of Situ Manor, the reputation of the Exiled Nation's Sovereign would not allow a noble girl to be brutally killed on Lingchi Peak.
However, looking at the Ancient Mystic Beast, it was clear that it was quite enraged. How could one persuade it?
"Your eyes are darting around; what scheme are you concocting now?" The Ancient Mystic Beast had no fondness for humans and, seeing Ouyang Zixin standing there alone with her shifting gaze, guessed she was up to something again.
Ouyang Zixin chuckled, neither denying nor confirming anything. Instead, she curiously asked the Ancient Mystic Beast how it had captured Sito Rongyan.
"I did not capture her."
"Old one, lying is not good. If you didn't capture her, does that mean she came here to seek death on her own?" Ouyang Zixin would never believe such a thing. Sito Rongyan might be foolish, but she wouldn't be foolish enough to walk into danger willingly.
The Ancient Mystic Beast, comfortable in its lair, sat down without courtesy and shook its head as if it had heard a very amusing joke. "You don't believe me?"
Ouyang Zixin shook her head; naturally, she did not believe it.
How foolish would one have to be to deliver themselves right to danger?
The Ancient Mystic Beast snorted coldly, and a Purple-Eyed Beast above its head began to swirl like a vortex. Sito Rongyan slowly stood up in sync with the movement of the Purple-Eyed Beast, her eyes still vacant.
"Ask her yourself."
Looking at Sito Rongyan before her, who resembled a marionette, the Ancient Mystic Beast commanded her to perform actions as it wished. Now that it instructed Ouyang Zixin to ask questions herself, it seemed that it had used some Eye Power to control her.
After a series of questions, Ouyang Zixin was completely at a loss.
She actually wanted to ambush the High-Level Mystic Beast during its "dormant phase," but before she could even make contact, she was controlled and tossed into this cave like a rag doll. The guards had already lost their lives as well.
"Self-inflicted..." Ouyang Zixin was utterly speechless at this point. How could she plead for mercy now? The other party had come right to her door; it would be inappropriate for her to act against them.
"Stop the nonsense and leave," the Ancient Mystic Beast said. The reason it killed those five guards without harming Sito Rongyan was to keep her around for some good torment, allowing her to experience the pain that had once been inflicted on Little Purple.
There was no way she could leave now; Ouyang Zixin still had questions to ask.
Putting Sito Rongyan's matter aside for the moment, Ouyang Zixin smiled ingratiatingly and approached the Ancient Mystic Beast, saying, "Elder, I can't leave. I'm here to discuss some issues with you."
"Another Eye Power?" The Ancient Mystic Beast had seen through her little scheme early on. Seeing her smile so obsequiously, it found this little girl quite amusing for trying to curry favor with a Mystical Beast that humans looked down upon.
"Yes, yes, please enlighten me, Elder." Ouyang Zixin nodded vigorously like she was pounding garlic, completely forgetting that she had overexerted herself earlier. As she nodded, a wave of dizziness suddenly hit her.
