After delving fifty miles into Lingchi Peak, they were no longer in the outer regions. Ouyang Zixin and her companions advanced cautiously, avoiding many who had come for training.
Finally, three days after entering Lingchi Peak, they reached the edge of the outer area. Beyond this point lay the territory where High-Level Mystic Beasts roamed.
Ouyang Zixin decided to rest for the night and continue their journey the next morning.
The three of them remained vigilant, with Liu Ying hidden in the shadows while Liu Lvy kept watch in the open.
That night, not a single breeze stirred; the low atmospheric pressure made it hard to breathe, creating a sense of oppression.
After hastily finishing dinner, Ouyang Zixin began to meditate, feeling an unsettling tension in the unusual atmosphere.
By late night, the pressure seemed to ease slightly, and there was a rustling sound in the air.
"Nameless." Ouyang Zixin suddenly awoke from her meditation, her expression unusually serious.
— Master, did you sense it too?
"It seems their plans are focused here." A cold smile flickered in Ouyang Zixin's eyes; she had underestimated them.
— Master, normally High-Level Mystic Beasts would not bother with low-level Mystical Beasts' territory. However, since we are at the edge of this boundary, their unusual movements must be directed at us.
"The medicinal powder attracts Mystical Beasts. The low-level ones are far behind, so that’s not a big deal. But if the High-Level Mystic Beasts take action first, they won't hold back any longer." This was indeed troublesome; they were now caught in a pincer movement. With only three of them, even with Nameless's help, escaping would be quite challenging.
Suddenly, the wind stopped. A wave of Mystic Beast presences surged from all directions. Ouyang Zixin frowned and said, "They’re coming quickly."
She sprang up and woke the drowsy Liu Lvy, who was sleeping heavily for some unknown reason that night.
"Be careful." Ouyang Zixin signaled Liu Ying to come out from hiding. They were not facing people from Yuhai Continent but rather Mystic Beasts. These creatures did not understand stealth; it was better for Liu Ying to join them openly rather than remain hidden.
The three formed a small circle back-to-back, each responsible for one side as they prepared to fend off the Mystic Beasts' attacks.
After a short while, the sounds of approaching Mystic Beasts grew louder. Even before they arrived, an overwhelming presence could already be felt.
"Damn it, how many Mystical Beasts have come?" Ouyang Zixin's consciousness extended, covering a radius of three miles, and she felt that the area was densely packed with Mystical Beasts.
"To the Southwest, low-level Mystical Beasts are already very close. Liu Ying, pay attention to your defense. Leading from the Northeast is a mid-level Mystical Beast. Liu Lvy, capture the leader first. The rest will be left to me." Ouyang Zixin quickly arranged the tasks while vigilantly watching ahead.

The sound of footsteps pounding against the ground grew heavier as the group of Mystical Beasts finally came into view, with no less than a hundred of various levels charging towards the three from all directions.
Ouyang Zixin struck first; Mysterious Energy surged through her body. With the aid of some of Nameless's Mysterious Energy, she was able to take down a leading mid-level Mystical Beast in one hit.
This leading Mystical Beast was not an attacker; it was simply massive and looked quite intimidating at first glance.
Liu Ying and Liu Lu were still somewhat worried. After many years apart, they had no idea how strong Ouyang Zixin had become. Seeing her act so decisively now allowed them to focus on dealing with their own Mystical Beasts.
After years of training, low-level Mystical Beasts were not terrifying in the eyes of the two maidens. However, their sheer numbers were overwhelming. Before long, both had sustained various injuries and appeared somewhat disheveled.
Ouyang Zixin had built a solid foundation in combat within the secret realm, making her situation much better compared to Liu Ying and Liu Lu.
Nameless was also busy at this time, swiftly taking down those mid-level Mystical Beasts while darting through space, catching them off guard each time.
After a stick of incense worth of time passed, the number of Mystical Beasts showed no sign of decreasing; instead, it seemed to be increasing.
"This won't do," Ouyang Zixin noted that Liu Ying and Liu Lu were starting to struggle with their stamina and thought to herself that things were going badly. She had overestimated their strength.
—Master, Nameless can temporarily drive back these Mystical Beasts, but...
"But what?"
—But afterward, Nameless may need to enter seclusion to recover and might not be able to protect you anymore.
Ouyang Zixin quickly analyzed the feasibility of what Nameless had said in her mind. Temporarily driving back this large group of Mystical Beasts would require a significant amount of Mysterious Energy. If the three of them wanted to retreat, they could only run towards the outskirts. Now Liu Ying and Liu Lu's Mysterious Energy was nearly depleted; she did not know how much longer they could hold out.
If they venture deeper into the retreat, they can escape from the low-level Mystical Beasts. Normally, these creatures would never dare to enter the territory of the mid-level High-Level Mystic Beasts.
The powder used by Sito Rongyan has a great attraction for the Mystical Beasts, but it is uncertain whether this attraction is enough to make them disregard their own lives and follow her into the depths.
If the low-level Mystical Beasts recklessly pursue her into the mid-high level territory, they could very well become a lifeline for her group. The High-Level Mystic Beasts would not spare them, and at that point, the pressure on her side might be alleviated, providing a chance to breathe.
—Master, this is too risky.
Nameless understood Ouyang Zixin's thoughts and quickly spoke up to stop her. After driving back the Mystical Beasts, Nameless no longer had the ability to fight. If Ouyang Zixin truly ventured deeper into Lingchi Peak, the likelihood of encountering danger was extremely high.
“I have made up my mind; wait for my command,” Ouyang Zixin said, disregarding Nameless's advice and firmly resolved in her heart.
“Liu Ying and Liu Lu, listen carefully. When I give the order, run inside with me.” It was a critical moment where every second counted. Ouyang Zixin spoke rapidly while sidestepping a Mystical Beast that lunged at her.
Upon hearing this, Liu Ying and Liu Lu responded immediately without any hesitation.
The training they had undergone over the years instilled in them absolute obedience to their Master. Even if Ouyang Zixin asked them to stay behind to block the horde of Mystical Beasts with their lives, they would not hesitate for a moment.
“Prepare... run.” At Ouyang Zixin's command, three figures swiftly darted deeper into Lingchi Peak, while behind them, the Mystical Beasts seemed inexplicably bound and remained rooted in place.
—Master, one cup of tea... is... the limit...
