The daughter of the White Clan Leader, Baike, has been entrusted with the mission of revitalizing the Bai Clan since the day she was born.
With the opening of Fortune's Secret Realm, she was among those selected. However, due to different entry points into the secret realm, Baike did not encounter Ouyang Zixin and her two companions.
Originally, it was expected that she would spend a hundred years in the secret realm before returning to Yuhai Continent. But for some unknown reason, after a spatial fluctuation, she was teleported out.
Upon returning to her room, Baike did not rest but called for her personal maid, Zi'er. "Has anything special happened in the clan in recent years?"

Zi'er tilted her head in thought. How long ago was it?
"Over a year?" As a mere maid, Zi'er could tell from Baike's expression that it had been quite some time.
If it had been over a year, then it was irrelevant to her since Baike had come out of the secret realm a year ago.
"Legitimate Young Lady, it should have been two or three years ago. I really can't remember the exact date; please punish me," she said as she knelt down. Although the Legitimate Young Lady was not overly harsh with her servants, she was still quite strict.
Baike paid no attention to Zi'er kneeling in front of her and fell into deep thought.
Although Bai Zhan had not directly told Baike the purpose of the mark, over the years, someone as intelligent as Baike surely understood that there was some mysterious connection between the mark and the Legitimate Daughter of the Bai Clan.
She had heard from her grandmother that the mark only recognized the Legitimate Daughter of the Bai Clan. Each generation of the Bai Clan had a Legitimate Daughter born, but that did not necessarily mean she would be recognized by the mark.
It seemed it was time for her to visit her grandmother.
Rising, she had Zi'er change her into a new outfit, and without bringing any maidservants, she went alone to the Ancestral Hall.

"Legitimate Young Lady, forgive us. We are merely following the clan leader's orders to guard this Ancestral Hall; no one is allowed to enter or exit."
"Forgive you? Hmph, it seems you have forgotten the clan rules!" After being away from home for many years, Baike did not expect that upon her return, even the guards at the Ancestral Hall would dare to defy her, instantly igniting her anger.
"Legitimate Young Lady, please spare me! I truly..." The guard hurriedly knelt on one knee. According to clan rules, defying a Legitimate Young Lady meant death.
The two guards silently lamented; this rule of no entry or exit had been established after the Legitimate Young Lady left home. They were just doing their duty and did not want to lose their lives.
"Oh dear, what is happening here?" A soft and charming voice came from afar; without needing to look, Baike knew it was Liniang.
Without turning back, Baike walked straight toward the Ancestral Hall. The guards dared not forcibly stop her and could only look at Liniang with pleading expressions.
"Legitimate Young Lady, you mustn't do this..." With a glance from Liniang, her Head Maid quietly retreated while Liniang quickly stepped forward to block Baike's path.
Baike frowned; Liniang was increasingly taking herself too seriously. She merely managed the internal affairs of the Bai Clan and dared to stand in front of her. "Hmph, Liniang, why are you stopping me? Do I need your permission to see my grandmother?"
"Kerr, do not be rude." Bai Zhan received the news and hurried over.
"Father." Baike knelt in greeting, but her gaze fell on the Head Maid behind Bai Zhan. "What a clever maid."
"Kerr, the rules were set by your father. Do not blame Liniang. Your grandmother is unwell and needs to rest. If you are concerned, come back to visit in a few days," Bai Zhan said, feeling somewhat guilty, his eyes darting around.
Seeing this, Baike no longer insisted and agreed to return later.
After Baike left, Bai Zhan glanced at the Ancestral Hall and walked away without saying a word, even neglecting Liniang.
"Worthless thing," Liniang spat. "Take her away."
Then she followed in Bai Zhan's footsteps.
"I didn't expect that after being away from home for so long, Liniang would have taken control of all family matters. Father truly is..." Baike thought. As someone destined to lead the family in the future, Liniang's growing influence would bring her no benefits.
It seemed it was time to have a serious talk with her father.
In the past, Baike had not cared much about a concubine due to her noble status. Now that she was eighteen, in a few years she would begin formally learning how to manage the family. She would not allow a stepmother to overshadow her.
"Did you hear who just came? Was it Kerr?" the White-Haired Old Woman hobbled to the door, her aged yet wise eyes seeming to see through the thick door panel.
"Indeed it was her," another lady replied. "She has returned as well."
The White-Haired Old Woman stood by the door for a long time before finally sighing. What difference did it make that she had come back?
Another woman nodded in agreement; it was too late to rectify the mistakes made, and recovering from this was no easy task.
“Master, there has been a movement from the Bai Clan.” The Shadow Guard presented the recently received news, bowing his head and standing to the side, waiting for further instructions.
“Leave.”
The Bai Clan has finally made a move after all these years.
Yun Tianmo clenched his palm, turning the note into powder that vanished without a trace. “Tell the Seventh Prince that the opportunity will come soon.”
After years of planning, revenge is just one aspect. The Bai Clan harmed Yun Tianmo's loved ones once, so they must be punished a hundred times. If they remained hidden and refrained from any foolish actions, he might have allowed them to survive for a few more years.

In Xuan Shi Mansion, Bai Su leaned in Ouyang Hao's embrace, filled with anxiety. After living in peace for over a decade, this was the first time she felt such unrest.
