The High-Speed Rail was already parked at the platform, and E stopped at the carriage door after escorting them there. Zhang Qiu turned around and said, "Thank you, E."

Zhang Qiu and Lucia walked into the carriage and found their seats. Not long after, the High-Speed Rail slowly departed from the station, speeding along the elevated tracks towards the city. Instead of heading directly to Beilan County, Zhang Qiu and Lucia took a taxi to Jiang Xue's house. Before leaving for Africa, Zhang Qiu had told her family that she would be staying at Jiang Xue's place temporarily, so it was only natural to bring Jiang Xue back home with her. Having missed Jiang Xue during her stay at home for some time, Zhang Qiu was eager to see her. After more than an hour's drive, the taxi brought Zhang Qiu and Lucia to their destination, with Zhang Qiu glancing at Lucia countless times through the rearview mirror.
Imagining the scene of Jiang Xue seeing her made Zhang Qiu smile involuntarily. Lucia lightly patted Zhang Qiu's shoulder and laughed, "You’re already smiling before we even get inside."
