In the restaurant of the inn, Zhang Qiu, Lucia, Prince Banan, and the special contributor White Wolf Special Assault Team were seated around a table covered with linen. The Boss was invited here, along with those who had previously been disturbed by the soldiers.
"The camp is set up in the yard, and I hope everyone can forgive the disturbances," Prince Banan sincerely looked at his people. "Here we have delicious food prepared by friends from China; please enjoy."
The people dining with Prince Banan felt uneasy, keeping their heads down and not daring to move. The Boss kept nodding respectfully, smiling at everyone and instructing the staff to bring out the bread from the restaurant.
The Beef Stew with Potatoes emitted a rich aroma, yet no one reached for it. Zhang Qiu helplessly stood up and served each person a spoonful, prompting everyone to start eating. The moment the food reached their mouths, joy sparkled in their dark eyes. Zhang Qiu noticed their love for the food and their restraint, so after a while, he suggested leaving.
The inn's Boss actively tried to keep them there. Prince Banan understood Zhang Qiu's intention and politely declined, leading everyone back to the yard. A large plate of Beef Stew with Potatoes was left behind in the restaurant. Standing in the cold wind, Prince Banan suddenly said, "Zhang Qiu, you have given me a great gift today."
"What is it?"
"Giving," Prince Banan replied. "You have made me experience the joy of caring for others; as a prince of Tanzania, I should have done this long ago."
"It's not too late to start now. You have two opportunities to do this; the first was at the beginning, which you missed. The second is now, and you have succeeded. I hope you can continue this."
"Don't worry; I will do it," Prince Banan smiled confidently, his gaze sweeping over everyone's faces.
That night, everyone slept in makeshift military tents in shifts, wrapped in two heavy military coats and feeling warm despite the cold. With confirmed news from the king's side, they no longer had to be anxious or on guard. Their own troops heavily guarded the area, along with the Special Operations Team trained by Azure Hawk keeping watch; everyone slept particularly soundly that night.
At dawn, everyone got up with the soldiers. The chilly morning breeze blew as Zhang Qiu stepped out of the tent and saw Azure Hawk and others doing push-ups on the ground tiles. Dressed in black tactical vests, Azure Hawk and his team moved in unison to the orderly sound of a horn, steam rising from their backs—a unique sight throughout the inn.
At eight o'clock, a rumbling sound approached from afar as a Blue Helicopter flew over. The soldiers on guard quickly aimed their weapons at the sky. Under the protection of guards, Prince Banan temporarily left; soldiers cleared an area in the center of the inn as the helicopter slowly descended. Two reporters—a man and a woman—carrying cameras and microphones disembarked from the helicopter while soldiers immediately surrounded them for inspection.
"We are reporters from News Channel One," the female reporter held up her badge prominently displayed on her chest.
"Routine inspection," an officer stated as his subordinates conducted a thorough check of both reporters and their equipment.
After completing the inspection, the officer saluted the reporters just as Prince Banan emerged from his room with a hearty laugh and approached them saying, "Hello! Welcome!"
"Hello, Prince Banan," both reporters expressed great enthusiasm, excitement evident in their voices. Today they would become witnesses to history.
The reporters had contacted them yesterday; they would be live broadcasting Prince Banan's peace talks with the king on one of Tanzania Kingdom's few televisions. The helicopter provided by the king was used for News Channel One's live coverage of Prince Banan's convoy. This was both a consideration for Prince Banan's safety by the king and a way to avoid suspicion to prevent another assassination attempt.
After discussing the precautions with the reporters, Prince Banan sat inside the military Truck. The driver and security personnel were all members of the White Wolf Special Assault Team. Zhang Qiu and Lucia were in the same compartment as Prince Banan, while the Attendant officials boarded a subsequent Truck.
Soldiers lined up to board, and the Public residents on both sides of the street stood and cheered, waving colorful ribbons. A helicopter in the courtyard slowly ascended into the air, with a male reporter's camera aimed at the Truck carrying Prince Banan, while a female reporter began her commentary.
"Dear viewers in Tanzania, today we will witness one of the greatest moments in history..."
The convoy gradually entered, speeding up on the main road. Upon reaching the designated venue agreed upon with the king, the Trucks came to a stop. Fully armed soldiers jumped out of the compartments, their uniforms freshly cleaned as per Azure Hawk's deliberate arrangement. The two Trucks carrying Prince Banan and the Attendant officials continued forward, with soldiers running alongside them before slowing down and marching forward in an orderly manner, their determined gazes fixed ahead.
The crowd gathered outside the venue erupted in waves of cheers. Lucia leaned out of the compartment and looked at the jubilant people, saying, "We must be getting close."
"Yes, we are almost there," Prince Banan replied.
"I'm so excited to witness history," Zhang Qiu said, filled with enthusiasm. He had been deeply captivated by significant historical events since he first encountered them and wished he could travel back in time to participate. During his time in Tanzania, Zhang Qiu had fulfilled a dream he had long held. Especially on this day, he was overwhelmed with excitement.
The Truck slowed down further, turning around a gentle curve before stopping. Soldiers lowered the compartment's barrier and invited Prince Banan to disembark. He bent slightly to peek out of the Truck and lightly jumped down to stand tall, waving at the surrounding crowd. The cheers from the crowd instantly rose several decibels as their heartfelt desires erupted at that moment.
A red carpet was laid out on the ground, flanked by long ropes held by guards. A dozen officials responsible for welcoming stood beside the carpet and approached as soon as Prince Banan stepped down. These were familiar faces to him; they were high-ranking officials who had come from the north with the king. Standing in the cold wind at that moment felt somewhat lonely.
Reporters who had been waiting on-site rushed forward with questions. Members of the White Wolf Special Assault Team formed a human wall to protect Prince Banan at the center while maintaining a safe distance from reporters. Originally, it was planned for Tanzanian soldiers to handle security at this event. However, considering the recent assassination attempt at the airport, it was decided for Azure Hawk and others to take charge for safety reasons.
Zhang Qiu helped Lucia down from the Truck when an observant reporter noticed them and immediately ran over with a microphone:
"I just noticed you both got out of His Highness's vehicle. The personal bodyguards beside His Highness are also Asian; can you tell us your identities? What is your relationship with His Highness? What are your views on Tanzania's current situation?"
A series of questions were thrown at them, catching Zhang Qiu and Lucia off guard for facing the camera. Seeing their silence, the reporter repeated his questions with determination. Lucia looked at Zhang Qiu for help, and he had no choice but to brace himself and respond to the questioning reporter: "Could you repeat your question? My English isn't very good."
Zhang Qiu deliberately delayed his response, stumbling through his words. The reporter paused and slowed down his speech to repeat his question. When he finished asking the first question, Zhang Qiu interjected: "We are friends of Prince Banan visiting Tanzania; we didn't expect to encounter this historic moment."
"Do you also consider it a historic moment?" The reporter seized on what interested him.
"Of course," Zhang Qiu smiled and said, "This scene will forever be remembered by people; Prince Banan is a hero of Tanzania."
As the reporter prepared to ask another question, Prince Banan noticed Zhang Qiu and Lucia's situation and turned around to call out: "Zhang Qiu, Lucia, come over here."
Zhang Qiu shrugged at the reporter in a very gentlemanly manner and said, "The prince is calling us, excuse us."
The reporter wanted to ask more questions, but Zhang Qiu and Lucia had already walked away quickly. Watching their retreating figures, the reporter shook her head in frustration; if only she had a few more minutes, she was sure she could get an exclusive interview. Not too discouraged by the missed opportunity, the reporter plunged back into the crowd, joining her colleagues to ask Prince Banan questions.
Wherever Prince Banan was present, he naturally became the center of attention. Zhang Qiu and Lucia were content to remain quietly by his side. Zhang Qiu looked around and noticed that the officials from both parties presented two completely different attitudes. The northern officials walked with their heads held high and smiles on their faces, exuding confidence. In contrast, the southern officials, although dressed formally, appeared disheveled and listless.
Surrounding Prince Banan, the reporters clamored to ask questions, often mixing several inquiries together, making it hard to hear clearly. Prince Banan responded to some questions and showed a very open attitude towards the interview.
"Your Highness, today's report states that from the discipline of the New Army, one can see the dawn of Tanzania's future. What are your thoughts on this?"
"Oh?" Prince Banan perked up at a genuinely interesting question. "Which report are you referring to? My conditions have been quite difficult; I haven't had a chance to see any news."
"This one!" The reporter excitedly raised the newspaper in her hand. Prince Banan immediately said, "Let him come over."
The reporter rushed forward as Azure Hawk and others made way for him. Once he entered, they closed ranks again. The reporters left outside looked on enviously at the honored reporter who had the opportunity to stand next to Prince Banan on such a day; it was a tremendous honor for any journalist.
The reporter's hands trembled with excitement as he held the newspaper, shaking slightly. Prince Banan smiled as he took the newspaper and said, "Don't be nervous."
