When the members of the mercenary group descended from the sky, their landing point unexpectedly turned out to be safe, landing on a soft cushion of rat-man corpses, cushioning the impact. Alixia reacted the fastest, twisting her body and completing a roll with astonishing agility, almost instantly standing up. Her star lance pierced like lightning, skewering a rat-man attempting to ambush, demonstrating her exceptional skill as an Eldar warrior. 0

Karenmu was not slow either, quickly raising his incredibly sturdy shield to block wave after wave of attacks, his gaze unwavering like an unshakeable fortress. At the same time, John tightly grabbed Taktron's arm, urgently calling out to him, "Hurry! Let's go!" Their trust and understanding of each other turned such a dangerous moment into a display of their team's unity. 0

Two people hurried forward, quickly approaching the cave entrance where the rat people surged out. It was like a black hole leading to the depths of the earth, swallowing all light. Amidst the endless legion of rat people, they seemed to have found a way out, a path leading deeper and more dangerous. John and Taktron no longer hesitated, following closely in the footsteps of Alixia and Karenmu, they jumped into the darkness, entering the next battlefield. 0

As the four traversed the dense darkness, their voices echoed in the cave, creating a tense and playful atmosphere. Alixia, facing the unknown leap, became emotional, partly nervous and partly blaming as she questioned John, "John! Are you sure we're jumping down?" John could only helplessly respond as he fell, "I don't know!" His voice reverberated in the darkness, revealing a mix of bravery and helplessness. 0

Taktron found a moment of relaxation in this tense situation, and his laughter echoed in the narrow space, slightly easing the tense atmosphere. Alixia reacted strongly, unable to help but curse, "Damn!" Her voice revealed a struggle between fear of the unknown and trust in her teammates. 0

At that moment, John noticed a faint light gradually emerging below, the reflection of light on the water's surface, indicating that they were about to enter an unknown water area. 0

When John and his team plunged into this icy lake, the surrounding world immediately fell silent. The piercing cold quickly invaded his entire body, as if millions of ice needles were stabbing into every inch of his skin, causing unbearable pain. The darkness was like a bottomless pit, swallowing all light and leaving behind a despairing blackness. In this absolute darkness, John was filled with endless panic, the kind of abyssal fear from the extradimensional space struck again, stronger than ever before, as if his soul was being dragged into an invisible chaos. 0

Attempting to regulate his breathing and stay calm, he was suddenly hit by a powerful current, completely losing control. The air was forcibly sucked out of his mouth, leaving only the piercing cold water continuously washing his lungs, making it almost impossible to breathe. Every attempt to inhale only brought in more icy and painful water, leaving him feeling hopeless. In that moment, he felt himself being consumed by the abyssal fear, every cell panicking in the face of the endless unknown darkness. It was as if the chaos and fear he had experienced in the extradimensional space had returned to him in a more real and intense form, leaving him with nowhere to escape and nowhere to hide. 0

When he struggled to find the direction to float upwards, the feeling of suffocation quickly intensified. Each heartbeat thundered in his ears, and it seemed as if life was slipping away from his body. In this despair, there was not only fear of death, but also an ultimate dread of the unknown chaos, which closely followed him like a shadow, oppressing and suffocating his soul. Every attempt to move upward seemed to be dragged back into the abyss by an invisible force, leaving him feeling unprecedentedly powerless and hopeless. 0

In that moment, John felt like he was being pulled back from the edge of death, because Karenmu's powerful and firm mechanical arm tightly grabbed him and pulled him out of the cold, dark water. John collapsed on the shore, gasping for air as if each breath tasted the sweetness of life, and his coughing was proof that he had narrowly escaped death. Alixia wrung out her clothes, dripping water, and sarcastically remarked, "I don't remember you not being able to swim." Her words carried a light teasing tone, but also revealed her concern for John's safety. 0

Taktron came over with concern and asked, "Are you okay?" His eyes were filled with the care and worry of friends, a deep bond that only true comrades can understand after struggling together on the edge of life and death. John made an effort to regulate his breathing, his soaked clothes clinging to his body, making him feel cold, but warmth surged in his heart. This experience made him more certain that no matter what difficulties he faced, he was not alone. In this war, he had reliable comrades. John managed to force a faint smile and nodded. Although his body was still fiercely resisting the fear and pain from earlier, he knew that as long as he was with these comrades, there was nothing they couldn't overcome. 0

John regained his strength, stood up, shook his head, and water droplets scattered as he did so. He took a deep breath, feeling the moisture and the scent of unknown danger in the air. Turning to Karenmu, he sincerely said, "I... I'm fine, thank you Karenmu!" It was a simple yet meaningful expression of gratitude. Karenmu responded with his usual silence and a slight nod, his calm and resolute demeanor once again proving him to be an indispensable force in the team. 0

John turned to look at Taktron, his voice carrying the decisiveness and trust of a leader, " Taktron, tell us about the terrain here." He knew that Taktron had unique insights into environmental analysis and tactical planning, which was especially important in the unknown and dangerous depths. Taktron immediately took out his tactical tablet and quickly operated it. The terrain map and potential enemy activity areas were projected into the air in front of them. 0
