Chapter Twenty-Five: Because You Read Less
Zhang Qiu and Wang Jinghan took the elevator down. At the corner leading to the lobby, Zhang Qiu stopped Wang Jinghan and said, "Let's wait here for a moment until Yang Yu calls."
"Okay." Wang Jinghan nodded.
Zhang Qiu observed the main entrance of the lobby, taking a deep breath to ease his tension. He felt his heart pounding; this situation was too unusual for him, as he had never done anything so thrilling before. Zhang Qiu never imagined that his life would take such a turn.
"Today, I watch the snow drift in the cold night..." The familiar ringtone sounded. Zhang Qiu picked up his phone and lightly swiped with his thumb. Yang Yu's familiar voice came through: "Brother Qiu, we’ve arrived. There are indeed a bunch of thugs at the entrance of the county hospital."
Zhang Qiu smiled; it was just as he expected. Since Liu Xiaofei had provoked him, he had no one to blame but himself. "I'm coming out now, ready to make a move." Zhang Qiu slightly curled his lips, a glimmer of determination flashing in his eyes.
"Good!" Yang Yu replied, keeping a close watch on the entrance. As soon as Zhang Qiu appeared, he would immediately lead people over to help.
Zhang Qiu looked at Wang Jinghan and asked, "Are you scared?"
Wang Jinghan shook her head, gripping Zhang Qiu's shirt with one hand, her eyes filled with resolute determination.
Seeing Wang Jinghan like this made Zhang Qiu feel calmer than her. After taking a deep breath, Zhang Qiu walked forward steadily, with Wang Jinghan closely following behind. In just a few steps, they reached the center of the lobby. Liu Xiaofei's side had already spotted Zhang Qiu and pointed him out to Liu Xiaofei: "Brother Fei, he's come out."
Upon seeing Zhang Qiu emerge, Liu Xiaofei first sneered coldly. But when he noticed Wang Jinghan beside Zhang Qiu, his expression instantly turned ferocious. He waved his hand, and suddenly seven or eight young men surrounded them from all directions, forming a line at the entrance of the lobby. Liu Xiaofei stood in the middle, glaring angrily at Zhang Qiu as he approached.
Zhang Qiu stopped a few steps away from Liu Xiaofei while Wang Jinghan linked her arm with his like a lover. This scene further fueled Liu Xiaofei's rage as he thought to himself that Zhang Qiu would regret this; competing with him for a woman was simply asking for trouble.
"Hey! Why haven't you left yet?" Zhang Qiu pretended to be shocked.
Liu Xiaofei coldly stared at Zhang Qiu, "Leave? I'm here specifically waiting for you. Zhang Qiu, I've sent people to all three entrances of the hospital. I don't believe you can walk out today. But don't worry, the hospital is right behind you, very convenient." After saying that, Liu Xiaofei and the people around him burst into laughter.
Hearing this, Zhang Qiu also laughed. In Liu Xiaofei's eyes, this was simply a provocation. Liu Xiaofei pointed at Zhang Qiu angrily, "Still daring to laugh? Soon you'll be crying and won't even be able to shed tears!"
"Haha... you should take a look behind you," Zhang Qiu felt anxious for Liu Xiaofei's intelligence. At that moment, Yang Yu was leading a group of more than ten people holding bats, closing in.
Liu Xiaofei suddenly turned around, feeling a chill run down his spine as he saw many young men approaching with sticks. Even as Yang Yu and his group surrounded them, Liu Xiaofei was still puzzled about Zhang Qiu. The people who came with Liu Xiaofei were cursing him internally; weren't they just here to deal with a high school student? Why did the person he called for come with bats?
Yang Yu's appearance intimidated Liu Xiaofei and boosted Zhang Qiu's confidence. Just a minute ago, the arrogant Liu Xiaofei now looked deflated, his eyes fixed on Zhang Qiu. Zhang Qiu observed Liu Xiaofei and his group's reactions and sneered, "Liu Xiaofei, do you know why you're going to fall today?"

This statement made Liu Xiaofei lose his temper; he hated it when others brought up studying. Liu Xiaofei pointed at Zhang Qiu and shouted, "If you're going to fight, then fight! Don't be so sarcastic. You have more people than us; I was careless today—what does that have to do with studying? Don't lecture me about learning."
Yang Yu stepped forward and delivered a slap, saying, "Brother Qiu's words are for you to listen to!"
Being hit was unacceptable; Liu Xiaolong raised his hand to retaliate. At that moment, Yang Yu's companions pushed their bats against Liu Xiaofei's group’s chests. Both parties shoved each other while cursing loudly. The people brought by Liu Xiaolong were also from the streets; even though Yang Yu's side had the advantage, they couldn't tolerate being bullied like this.
Zhang Qiu looked at the stalemate between both parties, preparing to add fuel to the fire and thoroughly provoke Liu Xiaofei. He walked over to Yang Yu's side, facing Liu Xiaofei, and contemptuously said, "In 'Cao Gui's Debate', it is written, 'One surge of energy leads to success; repeated attempts lead to decline; three attempts lead to exhaustion.' Liu Xiaofei's eyes turned red, and his fists clenched tightly, making cracking sounds. Zhang Qiu continued, "You want to fight me? Do you dare? With just these people, do you think they are enough to take us on?"
"Who do you think you are?" One of Liu Xiaofei's men could no longer hold back and jumped out, pointing at Zhang Qiu and cursing, "Do you know who our boss is? Liu Xiaolong! You should find out if that's someone you can provoke!" The man finished with a smug expression, as if it was Zhang Qiu and his group who were surrounded.
Zhang Qiu looked at the other party's ridiculous demeanor and couldn't help but laugh loudly, saying, "Liu Xiaolong? What kind of big deal is he?"
"Damn!" The man cursed again and kicked towards Zhang Qiu. Zhang Qiu did not dodge but instead kicked hard at the man's ankle bone, causing him to scream in pain and lose his balance, falling to the ground.
In just a moment, one person was down, and the scene instantly spiraled out of control as both parties lunged at each other, intertwining in chaos. Continuous thuds and screams filled the air, stimulating everyone's eardrums. Zhang Qiu protected Wang Jinghan by bringing her to a slightly safer position before charging back into the crowd to fight alongside his brothers.
Although Liu Xiaofei's gang was outnumbered, they had plenty of fighting experience. Even under the siege from Yang Yu and others, they managed to resist fiercely. At first, Yang Yu and his group avoided hitting vital areas. Seeing the situation was urgent, Zhang Qiu shouted, "Aim for their vital spots!" In an instant, Yang Yu's group adjusted their attack positions, swinging thick bats that tore through the air and struck Liu Xiaofei and his men in vulnerable areas like their heads and stomachs. Within a few breaths, the outcome was quickly determined.
