"What nonsense are you talking about? Don't say such things outside," He Jun admonished Zhang Qiu. These words could not be spoken lightly; if others heard them, it would cause unnecessary trouble. There was silence on the other end of the line. Wang Jinghan tugged at Zhang Qiu's arm and whispered, "Calm down, take it slow."
Zhang Qiu's words reminded He Jun of himself when he had just graduated. Back then, he was full of ambition and determined to make a significant impact and bring peace to his jurisdiction. However, after starting his career, he realized that the political arena was murky; every step he took felt exceptionally heavy. Fortunately, he held onto his principles and did not betray his conscience, but this led to him being marginalized. After a long pause, He Jun finally said slowly, "Let's talk about your troubles then. After all this talk, what do you want me to do?"
"I am currently inside the county hospital building, and Liu Xiaolong—the one who injured my father—his brother has blocked me in the hospital."
"Should I send someone to rescue you?" He Jun asked, puzzled. He felt that his nephew's words were not simply about rescuing him.
"No, I have come up with a plan." Finally getting to the point, Zhang Qiu suppressed his excitement and tried to keep his voice steady. "I am going to call a friend and have him bring people over. After Both Parties clash, you can show up with your team and arrest everyone. Of course, the people I bring should be let go; just take the others back to the station. The people Liu Xiaofei brings are all connected to his brother Liu Xiaolong, and they are involved in the demolition issue. My dad has a disability assessment related to this, which you had arranged."
"And then? Is it really that simple?"
"These things may seem trivial, but they can escalate. It will draw public attention to the police department, and the higher-ups won't be able to withstand the pressure.
