Mei Shuang paused and turned her head, her cheek brushing against something cold. Without a doubt, it was Nangong Mo Yi's mask. As her cheek touched the mask, her lips coincidentally met his soft, cool lips.
What the hell!
Mei Shuang's heart raced, and she instinctively tilted her head back, frowning in complaint, "Why didn't you say anything if you were right next to me?"
Their eyes met, and Mei Shuang clearly saw a change in the deep, dark gaze of the other person.
Her heart skipped a beat as she hurriedly turned and scrambled upwards, her heart pounding. This Nangong Mo Yi better not have any improper thoughts; that would be disastrous for her.
Nangong Mo Yi watched Mei Shuang's flustered attempt to escape and took a deep breath, suppressing the heat rising within him as he followed her.
Once Mei Shuang reached the top, she sat down on the ground. The recent thrill from the cliff and the intensity in Nangong Mo Yi's eyes had left her startled.
Nangong Mo Yi easily made his way up, causing Mei Shuang's heart to tremble even more. She gasped for breath and quickly changed the subject, "It’s so difficult for people to come up here; don’t your subordinates find it challenging?"
Nangong Mo Yi tilted his head back, indicating for Mei Shuang to look behind her.

She was shocked to see that those guys had somehow made it up too, all swaying their tails and standing by. The nearest Dragon Python was only about a foot away from Mei Shuang and was curiously poking its head toward her. Just as its tongue almost touched Mei Shuang's forehead, she let out a yelp and sprang up from the ground, rushing to hug Nangong Mo Yi's waist tightly.
Nangong Mo Yi swallowed hard. Although he felt a bit hot under his collar, he struggled to control the heat rising from his lower abdomen. This was not the time for impulsiveness.
As Mei Shuang clung to Nangong Mo Yi, she naturally felt the solid muscles of his waist. After a moment of panic, she awkwardly withdrew her hands, her face slightly flushed. Calm down! Was it really necessary to panic like this in front of an enemy?

Lady Aida opened her mouth as if to say something but ultimately remained silent, looking at her son with a complex expression.

The mountain wind howled, and the trees at the summit swayed with it, producing eerie sounds from the mountain gorge that sent chills down one's spine.
Although everyone in the group was courageous and skilled in martial arts, the current situation still felt somewhat strange, causing them all to heighten their vigilance.

Lady Aida felt anxious but had no solutions. She gently stroked Zheng Yi's fluffy head, her face showing concern.

Zheng Yi nodded, his big eyes filled with confidence, "Of course."

Lady Aida remained silent and slowly crouched down, speaking kindly to Zheng Yi, "Zheng Yi, that sister is a good person. We must rescue her. In a moment, I will prick your head; don't be afraid, it will only be a few times. Please don't shout in pain, okay?"
Zheng Yi shook his head, "Mother, I'm not afraid, but why do you need to prick me?"
Lady Aida lowered her gaze, "This will help you see more clearly."

Lady Aida's expression brightened as she took out the Silver Needle from her pocket. She touched Zheng Yi's head a few times, took a deep breath to steady her trembling hand, and then aimed at several acupoints to prick.
Zheng Yi felt a series of sharp pains followed by a dull ache spreading across his head and into his limbs. Soon after, he was overwhelmed by a sensation like insects crawling all over his body.
