Feren looked at the scars on Edric's body and couldn't help but ask curiously, "How did you end up like this? Did you run into some big trouble?" His eyes were filled with worry and curiosity, feeling that this carefree man seemed to have a mysterious past. 0

Upon hearing Feren's question, Edric couldn't help but burst into laughter, showing a proud expression. He waved his hand and exaggeratedly said, "Oh, I almost forgot if you didn't mention it. I really made a splash last night. In a bar called 'The Beast's Lair,' I single-handedly fought a group of thugs. Do you know those thugs? They are notorious ruffians in this area, but in front of me, they were like paper tigers, no match at all." As he spoke, he mimicked several punching and kicking movements, his facial expressions exaggerated, and his body drew graceful arcs in the air, each movement complementing his words, making it all very vivid. 0

Feren looked at his performance and couldn't help but chuckle, feeling that Edric was truly incredible. 0

Edric then said, "Oh, and there's also a guy named Da Shan, the one who got eaten by that Asra Lion, he was so jealous of me hogging the limelight that he came to challenge me. I didn't want to, but he insisted on picking a fight, so I had to oblige. I have to admit, Da Shan was a tough opponent, pushing me to my limits with his incredible strength and speed. Every punch and kick was stunning, and I almost got knocked down several times, but in the end, I overcame him." As he spoke, he struck a few dramatic fighting poses, occasionally wincing in pain. He tried to mimic Da Shan's attack moves and demonstrated how he dodged and counterattacked. 0

Feren looked at Edric as he playfully recounted his "heroic" exploits from the previous night. Although the contradictions and exaggerations in the story made one want to question its authenticity, Edric's vivid expression and rich gestures couldn't help but make people feel his passion and humor. Feren couldn't help but be amused by him, his mouth turned up involuntarily, releasing the previous tension. 0

He watched Edric waving his hands, playfully imitating Da Shan's appearance, and occasionally "popping" himself, showing off his imagined battle scenes. Feren couldn't help but burst into laughter, although he knew that these stories were likely just made up by Edric to ease the tension, he still genuinely found it amusing. 0

In Feren's heart, he suddenly felt that Edric seemed to have changed. His previous impression of him was cold, irritable, and even somewhat unapproachable, but the current Edric appeared friendly, interesting, and even comforting. He couldn't help but wonder if this man had an unknown side that could make people let their guard down and feel warmth. 0

As he watched Edric's performance, his thoughts involuntarily soared. He thought that perhaps their encounter was not just a simple adventure, but the beginning of an unknown journey. Feren smiled slightly, as in this unknown journey, he had already found a companion who made him feel interesting and at ease. He looked forward to the future, hoping they would have many more interesting stories to experience together. 0

As time passed, the shadows in the tree hollow seemed to grow deeper. Edric and Feren had spent over an hour in this cramped space, their conversation dwindling into silence and waiting. The wind outside rustled the leaves, creating a hush within the hollow. 0

Edric slowly stretched his legs, feeling the pain in his body. He knew they couldn't stay here forever; they needed to find a way to leave. He turned to look at Feren, concealing his anxiety and unease, but Feren could still sense his tension. 0

Edric took a deep breath and then asked Feren: "Young man, do you know how long it will take to return to the village from here?" 0

Feren squinted, trying to recall the route he had taken when chasing the Terra Pigs into the forest, but for a moment he felt a bit lost. He honestly replied, "Edric, I... I'm not very sure because I followed the Terra Pigs in, and the trees and grass along the way can easily make one lose their way. But if we go back the way we came, we should be able to find the exit in about half an hour." 0

Edric nodded, his expression appearing slightly more relaxed. He knew that although the road ahead was unknown, at least they had a general direction. He stood up, checked his wounds, and then said to Feren, "Alright, let's prepare ourselves and try to leave this place. But before that, we need to stay alert and not let Asra Lion find us again." 0

Edric slowly extended his body out of the tree hollow, feeling the fresh air and faint sunlight outside. The tightly woven canopy only allowed scattered sunlight to filter through some cracks. He could vaguely sense that it was already afternoon, but the exact time was difficult to determine. 0

His eyes scanned the surroundings. With his extensive experience, he knew that if the Asra Lion was still nearby, it would surely leave some traces. He looked at the tree branches and the grass on the ground, but luckily, he didn't find any suspicious signs. Perhaps the lion had already left the area, or maybe it had given up on finding them. 0

Edric turned to signal to Feren inside the tree hollow. Feren understood and slowly emerged from the hollow to stand beside Edric. Their heartbeats became somewhat tense at this moment, as they both knew that even a brief lapse in attention could bring fatal danger. 0

Edric took a deep breath, looked around, and then said to Feren: "It looks like we are safe for now, but we need to leave here as soon as possible. You mentioned that following the way we came might lead us to an exit, so let's do that." 0
