"Are you scared?" Su Jin'er asked. 0

"Scared, very scared." 0

"Do you want to know if it's a person or a ghost?" 0

"I don't want to know; I'm afraid she's a ghost." Ruan Hongmei nervously leaned on Su Jin'er: "Hey, what happened to that thing on the window?" 0

Su Jin'er didn't answer her but opened the door again. A cold breeze swept in, and the corridor was illuminated by dim yellow lights. As she stretched her head out, she felt as if she were reaching toward the path of the underworld, and that thought made her quickly pull her head back. 0

"What are you looking for?" Ruan Hongmei asked, watching Su Jin'er rummaging through things on the bed. 0

"A flashlight." 0

"I put it in the drawer." Saying this, she took out four flashlights from the drawer and placed them on the table. 0

"Uh! Why are there so many?" Su Jin'er asked in surprise. 0

Ruan Hongmei said somewhat shyly, "After you left, I was scared living here alone! So I went and bought two more. Fortunately, nothing happened, like tonight! If you weren't here, I would have definitely been scared to death." 0

Su Jin'er felt a bit guilty; leaving Ruan Hongmei alone did feel a bit wrong. However, after what happened at her grandmother's house, she was glad she hadn't brought her along. 0

Su Jin'er picked up a flashlight and shook it: "Are you planning to stay here or come down with me?" 0

Ruan Hongmei looked at the dark dormitory and then said, "I'll go down with you!" 0

The corridor was very quiet, without a sound—not even the wind. They felt as if they had stepped into hell. 0

"How terrifying!" Ruan Hongmei pressed her body tightly against Su Jin'er, her voice echoing in the quiet corridor. 0

Ruan Hongmei seemed startled by her own voice, her footsteps hesitating for a moment. If it weren't for Su Jin'er beside her, she might have fainted. 0

"We need to go down quickly; otherwise, we won't be able to find that White-Clad Girl." 0

Ruan Hongmei's teeth were still chattering. "But are you sure she's a girl and not a ghost?" 0

As soon as Ruan Hongmei said this, it felt like the temperature around them dropped, and goosebumps rose on their skin. 0

"Don't talk; let's just go down first." 0

The corridor was too quiet. Although they knew students lived on both sides, it still sent chills down their spines. There were too many rumors about ghosts in the corridor. Thinking of this, terrifying images began to fill Su Jin'er's mind: a ghost that had its eyes gouged out, a zombie that could still walk after being hit by a car, and Sadako, the ghost that crawled out of the television. 0

The more she thought about it, the more scared she became, but fear only fueled her imagination. Her mind was flooded with horrifying images, and her legs began to weaken. Ruan Hongmei was not in a much better state; if they had looked at each other right now, they might have frightened each other because their faces were both pale. 0

After what felt like an eternity, they finally made it to the first floor. The dormitory manager seemed to have already gone to bed. As before, they chose to use the back door. It was unclear whether the manager had intentionally left it unchanged, but the lock on the back door was still the same. 0

"Our manager really is incompetent," Ruan Hongmei pouted. 0

Su Jin'er opened the door using the same method as before. 0

The wind outside had picked up, rustling the leaves and making the already eerie night even more chilling. 0

They looked around but did not see any sign of the White-Clad Girl. 0

As they rounded the corner in front of their dormitory, Su Jin'er instinctively glanced toward the corner of the building ahead. Sure enough, there stood the White-Clad Girl. 0

"She's over there," Ruan Hongmei also spotted her. 0

"Shh, don't say anything." Although she suspected that the White-Clad Girl had intentionally lured her over, she remained cautious. 0

"What is she doing?" 0

"I don't know. The last time I saw her, she was standing in that spot making strange gestures." 0

Sure enough, after finishing the odd gestures, she walked towards the basketball court as before. 0

"Let's go, we should follow her." 0

"Don't you want to see what's over there?" 0

"Let's catch up to her first; otherwise, she'll get away again." 0

The two adjusted the brightness of their flashlights to a dimmer setting so they wouldn't be easily noticed. 0

The White-Clad Girl continued to move forward as if floating, and she was moving quickly. 0

As expected, she entered the grove where the Morgue was located, just like before. 0

"We need to hurry; otherwise, she'll lose us again." Su Jin'er quickly chased after her, completely disregarding the risk of being discovered. 0

However, this time seemed different from before. After entering the grove, the girl didn't speed up like last time but instead stopped, seemingly waiting for them. 0

This made Su Jin'er feel puzzled. She also unconsciously halted her steps. However, they were already very close to each other, and suddenly she felt that the girl's back looked somewhat familiar, though she couldn't recall where she had seen it before. 0

After realizing that they had followed her, she moved forward again, but this time her pace was slower, seemingly allowing them to catch up. This left Su Jin'er feeling confused; however, regardless of her confusion, uncovering the truth was what she wanted. She knew she might be stepping into a trap set by someone else, yet she still chose to follow. 0

Ahead was the Morgue. The girl walked straight over, opened the door, and went inside, which caused fear in the two behind her. 0

A girl running to the Morgue in the middle of the night certainly did not seem like something a normal person would do. What was even stranger was that most school Morgues were located in basements or near laboratories, but this school's Morgue was situated in a forest, with only a small house nearby. 0

"You stay outside. I'll go in first. If I don't come out in ten minutes, you need to run away and call for help. Do you understand?" 0

Su Jin'er kept her eyes fixed on the Morgue's entrance and whispered to Ruan Hongmei. 0

"But we don't even know if she's human or a ghost. It's dangerous to just go in like that; maybe we should forget it!" 0

"It's fine. She's definitely not a ghost because I recognize her silhouette; I just can't remember who she is." 0

After thinking for a moment, Ruan Hongmei released her grip and said, "Just be careful." 0

Su Jin'er nodded and slowly walked over, with Ruan Hongmei following behind. During this time, the girl who had entered had not come out. 0

When Su Jin'er approached the door, she realized it was a wooden door that could be easily opened; it had no security features at all. In fact, someone with a bit of strength could kick it open. The door was ajar, and when she pushed it open, she expected it to creak loudly but it didn't make a sound. 0

From the outside, it looked like just a small room with nothing special about it; however, inside was different. Upon entering, it wasn't a morgue but an empty room filled with dust. The dim yellow light gave her a dreamlike feeling. A little further inside, there was another door. Seeing this door made Su Jin'er believe that the school did care about the bodies stored here because that door was made of iron. 0

Upon entering, she discovered that not only was it an iron door, but it was also a heavy one. There was no sign of the girl outside; she must have gone inside. 0

Just as she reached out to push the door open, she heard sounds coming from within. 0

A series of sounds startled Su Jin'er; they were unexpectedly heart-pounding and blush-inducing noises. 0

Is there someone else inside? 0

She felt a bit like retreating. If there really was someone in there, wouldn’t that be quite embarrassing for her? 0

Just as she hesitated about whether to go back, the sound from inside suddenly stopped, as if it had been abruptly cut off. Her heart tightened, feeling as if it were being squeezed by a hand, and cold sweat began to form on her forehead. 0

Could she be dead? 0

The thought sent chills down her spine. However, speculating was pointless; she needed to take a look. 0

After making up her mind, she pushed the door with all her strength. To her surprise, the door, which she thought would be heavy, opened easily. 0

As soon as she pushed the door open, a chill swept over her. Inside were five neatly arranged beds. She had expected to find a corpse on each bed, but there were none. 0

Against the wall stood a body refrigerator; the bodies were probably stored inside. 0

However, strangely enough, she did not see any sign of the White-Clad Girl inside, as if she had vanished into thin air. 0

Could she be hiding in the cabinet? 0

Though she thought this way, she lacked the courage to open the cabinet and search. Besides, it was impossible for a living person to squeeze into such a space; that only happened in movies. After circling around inside and finding no useful clues, she stepped back out. 0

"Is there no one?" Seeing Su Jin'er come out, Ruan Hongmei breathed a sigh of relief. 0

"Yeah, I heard sounds from inside, but when I went in, I found no one." 0

"Could it be? Is it really a ghost?" 0

Is it a ghost? If it really is a ghost, would it make that kind of sound? Or is there a tunnel in the Morgue? 0

By the way, a tunnel? How did she not think of that? 0

"Let's go in and take a look." 0

This time, both of them went inside. 0

However, they quickly came out disappointed, as there were no tunnels or anything like the Old Laboratory Building's secret room inside. 0

Could that girl really have vanished into thin air? 0

The twisted face outside the window, the Midnight Knocking Sound, the White-Clad Girl, the strange gestures, and the sounds from the Morgue along with the suddenly disappeared person—could all of this truly be caused by a ghost? 0

In the last case, she was sure it was just someone playing tricks, but this time, she couldn't be certain whether it was indeed a person causing trouble. 0
