But Qin Yu is not the Killer. So who is the Killer?
However, what Hao Hongtao said may not be true. He has deceived them once before, and they would not easily trust him again. The disk alone cannot prove that the person behind it is Qin Yu. In the interrogation room, Qin Yu sat with her head down on a chair. Captain Xing and Jiang Jie sat across from her. Jiang Jie was continuously writing something on paper, but it seemed that Qin Yu was not speaking.
When Captain Xing saw them arrive, he said something to Jiang Jie and then stepped out.
"Did she confess?" Su Jin'er asked.
Captain Xing shook his head and walked aside to light a cigarette. "Since we brought her here, she has only said one thing: 'Why are you arresting me?' After that, she hasn't spoken no matter what we asked."
After saying this, he took a deep drag from his cigarette. Although he had seen many criminals, it was the first time he encountered someone as calm as Qin Yu.
At that moment, Qin Yu, sitting in the interrogation room, suddenly lifted her head. When she saw Chu Feifan, a hint of surprise appeared in her eyes. However, when her gaze fell on Su Jin'er, there was clearly disgust. It seemed that Qin Yu said something, and Jiang Jie also looked up towards the window. "Because there's no need. I know very well that you haven't found any direct evidence to accuse me. Otherwise, Captain Xing wouldn't have let me admit my guilt just now."
After saying this, she smiled proudly.
She was right; they indeed had not found strong evidence. What they had was just the disc provided by Hao Hongtao and his words, but without other witnesses, it couldn't serve as direct evidence.
"And I also know clearly that if you continue to find no evidence, you'll have to let me go."

The officer stood at the door, catching his breath before saying, "Hao Hongtao is in trouble; it seems he wants to commit suicide, but his situation is very strange."
Upon hearing this, everyone immediately stood up and followed Captain Xing as they hurried toward the detention center.
"What exactly happened?" Captain Xing asked the Junior Officer as they walked.
It turned out that after Hao Hongtao was brought back by Captain Xing, he was placed in the detention center. Not long after they left, he said he had a headache and wanted to sleep without being disturbed. About half an hour later, the officer on duty suddenly heard several piercing screams followed by Hao Hongtao's desperate pleas and then loud banging noises. When they arrived at the scene, they found Hao Hongtao kneeling on the ground with blood all over his face, continuously begging into thin air. The situation was so unusual that none of them dared to go in and see what had happened.
When they felt the watchhouse, Hao Hongtao was still sitting on the ground, continuously banging his head, covered in blood, which was quite frightening.
"Open the door," Captain Xing said seriously; things seemed to be more complicated than they appeared.
The moment the door opened, Hao Hongtao looked at them in terror as if he had seen a ghost, scooting backward on the ground using both his hands and feet.
"Hao Hongtao, what's wrong? It's me, Su Jin'er!"
He had retreated to the wall, and upon seeing them approach, he shook his hands repeatedly and said, "Don't come closer, I didn't kill you, I didn't kill you..."
Chu Feifan suddenly moved closer and said, "Then who killed me? Tell me!"
"It wasn't me, it wasn't me, I don't know, I don't know." Then he hugged his head and sat trembling in the corner, blood dripping continuously from his face. Captain Xing had someone bring a doctor who quickly administered a sedative to calm him down. After cleaning the blood from his head and face, they proceeded to bandage him.
After examining his body, the doctor said, "It seems he saw something that terrified him and kept begging for mercy because his pupils are noticeably dilated."
"But there's only him here! What could be so terrifying?" Ruan Hongmei said.
"Could someone have scared him?" Zuo Yi looked at the officer responsible for guarding him standing aside.
"No, we didn't scare him. We came over after hearing the noise," one officer replied cautiously while looking around warily. "Is there something unclean here?"
"Nonsense!" Captain Xing shouted. "As a police officer, how can you casually believe in something that doesn't even exist? Just focus on doing your job."
The reprimanded officer lowered his head carefully and replied softly, "Yes, sir."
Although he answered this way, he remained vigilant of his surroundings and was still slightly trembling.
Chu Feifan and Zuo Yi lifted Hao Hongtao, and then something suddenly fell out of his clothing pocket.
"What is this?" Su Jin'er picked it up. "It's a handkerchief."
Nowadays, very few people use handkerchiefs, so it was surprising that the seemingly careless Hao Hongtao still carried one.
Captain Xing said, "I've seen this handkerchief before; it was given to him by Zhuo Xiaoman during her lifetime."
Upon hearing Captain Xing's words, Su Jin'er held the handkerchief to her nose and sniffed it. "It has a light fragrance; it must belong to a girl."
Captain Xing suddenly called Jiang Jie over and instructed her to take the handkerchief to the technical department for testing to see if there were any suspicious traces on it.
Just as Captain Xing had Jiang Jie take the handkerchief away, the technical department called, saying they had identified the fingerprints on the disc. Besides Captain Xing's fingerprints, only Hao Hongtao's fingerprints were found.
No one could provide a reasonable explanation for Hao Hongtao's sudden breakdown, and since this was a detention center, outsiders could not enter. What could have frightened him?
It seems that only when he wakes up will they know the answer.
