Su Jin'er sat quietly on the bed, feeling as if a stone was pressing down on her heart. She closed her eyes for a moment and then stood up. "Let's go to class!" 0

Ruan Hongmei, still unsure of what had happened, said nothing and quickly grabbed her books to follow Su Jin'er out of the dormitory. Along the way, Su Jin'er kept her head down and didn't say a word. 0

The students seemed unaffected by Zhuo Xiaoman's suicide, continuing their day as usual. A bitter feeling welled up in Su Jin'er; there were only a few people in the classroom. Unlike her usual habit of sitting in the front row, she chose a seat at the back and kept her head down. Suddenly, a figure blocked her path. She softly said, "Please move aside." 0

The figure remained standing, showing no intention of moving. Su Jin'er looked up to see Qin Yu's victorious smile. 0

"Could you please let me through?" she repeated politely. 0

Since Qin Yu was standing taller than Su Jin'er, she looked down at her and smiled, "What good is being pretty? In the end, I still win." 0

"Heh, isn't it shameful to trade your body for love?" Su Jin'er replied coldly. 0

"So what? At least he is mine now." 0

"Hmph! You're really amusing. That's just out of responsibility. Do you really think you should be this happy? His heart still belongs to me." With that, Su Jin'er squeezed past her, unwilling to hear another word. 0

Qin Yu turned around angrily to glare at Su Jin'er, but she didn't even want to look at her. She told herself that love that could be taken away wasn't real love. 0

After a while, Chu Feifan and Zuo Yi walked in, their faces bruised but still unable to hide their handsomeness. 0

Seeing Chu Feifan enter, Qin Yu clung to him like glue, wrapping her arm around his and asking about the injuries on his face. Initially thinking that Chu Feifan would shake off her hand, he merely replied coldly that it was nothing and allowed her to keep holding onto his arm. Throughout it all, he didn't glance at Su Jin'er even once, which made Ruan Hongmei furious enough to want to punch him again. She finally understood why Su Jin'er had cried earlier in the dormitory. Zuo Yi walked over, rubbing his mouth as he approached them and then sat down next to Ruan Hongmei. 0

"Are you okay?" Ruan Hongmei asked with concern. 0

Zuo Yi shook his head and glanced at the silent Su Jin'er, looking as if he wanted to say something but hesitated. 0

"You don't need to say anything; I'm fine," she said seriously while focusing on her book. 0

"Are you really okay?" Zuo Yi asked. 0

Su Jin'er shook her head. In fact, she had seen the scene when they entered the classroom earlier. Although she hadn't looked up, she had noticed Chu Feifan's behavior towards Qin Yu. 0

"Jin'er, although I don't want to explain anything for that guy, I just want to say one thing: he is sincere about you, both now and in the future." 0

Su Jin'er smiled but didn't respond. 0

At that moment, the previously noisy classroom suddenly fell silent, and then the counselor, who hadn't appeared for a long time, showed up. 0

"Everyone quiet down. You should all be aware of the incident regarding the female student who committed suicide yesterday afternoon. So what I want to tell you is that you don't need to take this matter to heart. She only took her own life due to overwhelming academic pressure. While studying is important, it shouldn't lead to such drastic choices..." After that, the counselor went on to say more about the importance of education and life, while the students quietly discussed Zhuo Xiaoman's death—claiming it wasn't due to academic pressure but rather that she was killed by a ghost or something similar. It was unclear who had spread such rumors. 0

Once the counselor finished speaking and left, as soon as his feet stepped out of the classroom, the students immediately erupted into conversation. Everyone shared their opinions on Zhuo Xiaoman's cause of death. While some mentioned supernatural events, many still believed it was simply due to academic pressure. 0

Amidst the heated discussions, a student suddenly exclaimed loudly, "She didn't commit suicide; she was murdered." 0

This statement instantly silenced the classroom as everyone turned to find out who had spoken. 0

Then, in the right corner of the classroom, a figure stood up. He had been sitting unnoticed at the back of the room, so no one had paid attention to his presence. 0

Dressed entirely in black with a black hat pulled low over his face, it was impossible to see his features. 0

"Who are you? How do you know she was murdered?" a bold student asked. 0

"Obviously, do you think someone who is about to commit suicide would make such a tragic scream? Even if it were out of fear, it wouldn't sound that horrific," the student replied in a muffled voice while still keeping his head down. 0

"Do you know who the Killer is?" another student asked. 0

"I think the Killer should be Hao Hongtao." 0

"That's strange, both Zhuo Xiaoman and Hao Hongtao are from the nursing department. How do you, a clinical student, know about this?" Qin Yu suddenly said. 0

Su Jin'er had been listening with her head down to every word they said. The boy was right; she agreed with him. However, so far, Captain Xing had not found any evidence to prove that she was murdered. Although the top floor of the office building was a public area, very few students went up there. The shoe prints collected at the scene were mostly those of the deceased Zhuo Xiaoman, which were the clearest, while others clearly did not belong to that day. Nevertheless, to be cautious, they still investigated all the students who had been upstairs. Several of them were from the student council, while others were downstairs participating in the Singing Competition. 0

"Because he is the only one who had a motive to kill Zhuo Xiaoman." 0

"What motive?" 0

Qin Yu asked again. 0

"Because he was jealous, jealous that Zhuo Man liked someone else, so he took action." 0

"Haha, now that Hao Hongtao isn't here, who would believe you if it's just you?" Qin Yu laughed. 0

"Think what you want; anyway, the Killer is Hao Hongtao." After saying that, he left the classroom without looking back, never lifting his head. 0

Seeing him leave, Su Jin'er followed him out, and Ruan Hongmei and Zuo Yi also came out. However, Chu Feifan did not follow; he just looked up and then lowered his head again. 0

"Wait a moment!" Su Jin'er called out to him in the hallway. 0

"What is it?" he asked without turning around. 0

"Can we talk?" 0

"If you have something to say, say it quickly. I have things to do." 0

"The person you mentioned, Zhuo Xiaoman liking someone else—are you referring to yourself?" 0

"Ha ha, why do you think it's me?" 0

"You said it yourself." Su Jin'er said as she slowly moved closer to him, wanting to know who he was. "Only someone who cares about Zhuo Xiaoman would be so concerned about her cause of death, and you mentioned you had something to do. I think you must be investigating the truth!" 0

His body trembled slightly at Su Jin'er's words, and then he smiled and said, "You're very clever, but I don't think this matter has anything to do with you." 0

After saying that, he continued down the stairs. 0

"Wait a minute, one of my friends is a detective. I want to ask you to share everything you know so we can solve the case as soon as possible," Su Jin'er pleaded. 0

"No need, I'll find out myself." After saying that, he refused to say another word and went downstairs. 0

Su Jin'er leaned against the staircase. She knew he wouldn't talk, but for some reason, she still chased after him. She had promised herself not to get involved in these matters again, yet she couldn't shake the feeling that what happened last night was related to Zhuo Xiaoman's death. 0

"Jin'er, this matter has nothing to do with us, so just let it go," Zuo Yi said wearily. 0

She was tired too and didn't want to get involved, but who was the one singing in her dreams and calling out to her? Why did she wake up holding a Paper Man after fainting? Everything felt so strange. Could it be that what happened to her had nothing to do with Zhuo Xiaoman? Was her death really just a simple suicide? 0

The entire day passed in a daze for Su Jin'er. Different images kept flashing through her mind. Although she hadn't seen Zhuo Xiaoman's lifeless body, she could still picture it—broken and disbelieving as it looked at the world before being picked up piece by piece and placed on a stretcher, then taken away for examination by the coroner, ultimately ending up in the cold Morgue. 0

Then there was that terrifying Paper Man she saw yesterday, moving stiffly toward her. Its eerie smile and twisted arms reaching into the air haunted her thoughts, making it impossible for her to focus on anything. 0

The next day, a scream once again filled the girls' dormitory with tension. 0

The girls who had just woken up were startled by the scream and could no longer continue sleeping. They all stretched their heads out to see what was happening outside the dormitory, waiting for someone brave enough to go check and tell them what was going on. 0

Su Jin'er and Ruan Hongmei quickly got dressed and rushed upstairs. 0

The area outside Room 501 was crowded with people. Since the door was closed, no one knew what was happening inside. Su Jin'er knocked on the door; there was no response from within. She knocked harder again, and after a while, the door slowly opened. A girl stood trembling behind it, looking terrified as she gazed outside. When she saw Su Jin'er, she burst into tears. 0

"What happened?" 0

"She's dead, Wang Xiangxiang is dead." 0

Su Jin'er almost fainted. "Let me see!" 0

She entered the dormitory and then let the girl outside. Ruan Hongmei followed her in. On the floor lay a girl, her face pale. Su Jin'er checked for a pulse and found that she was still breathing; she must have been scared into unconsciousness. Looking around, she didn't see any dead bodies and became puzzled. 0

Suddenly, she remembered that Zhuo Xiaoman was from this dormitory. The girl lying on the floor was unfamiliar to her, and the one who just went out was also unknown to her. Therefore, the deceased must be Zhuo Xiaoman's best friend. 0

She slowly crouched down and then saw a terrifying scene: the girl was lying under the bed, her eyes wide open in fear, mouth agape with drool dripping onto the floor. Her hands were oddly curled like chicken claws, and what terrified her even more was that the girl's arms were twisted, resembling the arm of the Paper Man she had seen last night. 0
