This time no one voiced any objections. They moved forward with their flashlights. With two more companions and the flashlights in hand, their pace was much quicker than before. After about half an hour of walking, they reached higher ground. Li Yiqian informed them that she and Li Jing had come through a cave and that she always took that route when visiting; she didn't know if there were other paths.
"Qian Qian, how did you think to come find us?" Su Jin'er asked as she walked alongside Linyuan and Li Yiqian.
"You all have been gone for six or seven days without returning. I was worried something happened to you but didn't dare come alone. Coincidentally, I ran into Officer Li this afternoon who was looking for you, so I came along."

The two laughed as they walked forward. As it was dark, neither dared to run around; they simply held hands and moved ahead.
Hearing her cheerful laughter, Chu Feifan's tightly furrowed brows relaxed.
A moment of happiness was precious because no one knew what would happen next or if they would still see the smiles of those they cared about.
