"We must find a way out, or we will all die here," Zuo Yi said, slamming his fist on the table. 0

"Exactly, and we need to bring the police. Without their help, we won't be able to solve this case. I've had a strange feeling that this village is not as simple as it seems. Even if there really is a curse, the village chief wouldn't easily trust an Outsider and treat him like a master, making everyone listen to him," Su Jin'er said, rubbing her temples to ease her headache. 0

"What about Arian's body? If we tell the villagers, they will definitely think we are the Killers," Linyuan frowned. They had already been suspected of being Killers more than once, and each time, they were the first ones to discover the bodies. 0

"Even if we're seen as Killers, we have to tell them," Chu Feifan said as he stood up, his eyes red, stepping outside slowly. 0

Although he and Arian were not truly married, they had exchanged vows in front of everyone. A sharp pain pierced his chest as a strange feeling told him that he was responsible for Arian's death. 0

"Feifan—" Su Jin'er called softly. 0

Chu Feifan did not turn back; he merely waved his hand dismissively. 0

Linyuan stomped his foot in frustration. "What's wrong with him? Has he fallen in love with that woman?" 0

Su Jin'er felt a pang in her heart but forced a smile. "Whether he likes her or not, they are married after all. There must be some feelings involved. It's normal for him to be upset seeing her suddenly killed." 0

"Right, Jin'er, you are so thoughtful!" Gaya Ze said, giving her a thumbs up. 0

Su Jin'er watched his departing figure with sadness. Although she understood Chu Feifan's feelings, she still felt heartbroken. 0

Sure enough, it wasn't long before they saw villagers approaching with tools like iron shovels. Anger was evident on each of their faces, and leading them was A-Jian. 0

Su Jin'er and Linyuan stood up, while Gaya Ze and Zuo Yi straightened up from where they leaned against the door and wall. They looked at the furious villagers in shock. 0

"My God!" Zuo Yi said helplessly. 0

Chu Feifan had already been tied up by them, being carried away by two men on either side. 0

"That's them, tie them all up!" A-Jian pointed at them, his eyes seemingly ready to burst into flames. 0

"Are you kidding? Why are you capturing us? We're not Killers," Linyuan said, shaking off the person trying to bind her. 0

"Ever since you arrived, we haven't had a moment of peace, and you still claim you're not Killers," A-Jian glared at them, wishing he could swallow them whole. 0

"If we were Killers, why would we be waiting here so obediently for you to catch us?" Gaya Ze scoffed. 0

"I don't care why; you are definitely Killers," A-Jian said, his eyes red with rage, as if he had completely lost his sanity. 0

Su Jin'er looked at them and said, "Even if you suspect we're Killers, you need to provide evidence! The police need evidence to arrest someone!" 0

"It doesn't matter what you say now; the village chief has definitely been killed by you. My words are evidence," A-Jian insisted stubbornly. 0

The villagers had already tied all of them up. Linyuan walked over to Su Jin'er and said, "This A-Jian is really strange!" 0

"It's not just A-Jian who is strange. Look at these villagers; they all seem odd. They believe everything A-Jian says and do whatever he tells them," Su Jin'er whispered. 0

Linyuan nodded in agreement. 0

"It seems the secrets of this village go far beyond our imagination," Zuo Yi added. 0

"Don't you think Feifan is also strange? Even though Arian is dead, he shouldn't be this heartbroken!" Gaya Ze frowned. He had known Chu Feifan since childhood and knew his emotions were more delicate than those of other boys, but this incident shouldn't have affected him to such an extent. 0

Chu Feifan stood there with red eyes, looking down as if he were completely unaware of what was happening around him. 0

"I remember Li Yiqian saying that she was incited by someone to lose her mind and kill her sister and Li Ran. Could it be that Chu Feifan has also been manipulated?" Su Jin'er looked at Chu Feifan with concern. 0

"Are you saying that Feifan has been controlled by someone, and that he killed Arian?" Zuo Yi's eyes widened. 0

Su Jin'er shook her head; she didn't know. This was just a guess, but she hoped her guess was wrong. 0

"Take them all away and lock them up," A-Jian commanded the villagers angrily. 0

Zuo Yi shook his head and said, "It's over, it's over. We're going to die. I'm still so young; what a pity for my face that rivals Pan An!" 0

"Hey! Stop being vain; you think you rival Pan An? How shameless," Linyuan glared at him. 0

"Shut up, don't talk!" Someone next to Zuo Yi pushed him hard because he wasn't paying attention and almost fell to the ground. 0

Zuo Yi glared at him fiercely, suppressing the anger inside. Under the eaves, one must bow their head. He turned away as if he hadn't seen anything. 0

Su Jin'er kept watching Chu Feifan. From when he went to find the villagers to when he reappeared, he had kept his head down and remained silent. Just as Gaya Ze said, he was very strange. She squinted at him and then suddenly widened her eyes, a smile blooming on her lips. 0

"Jin'er, what are you laughing at?" Linyuan leaned closer and asked quietly. 0

"Look at Chu Feifan!" 0

"What about him?" Linyuan frowned in confusion. 0

Then she also suddenly widened her eyes: "He isn't—" 0

"Shh—" Before she could finish, Su Jin'er interrupted her: "This A-Jian is really cunning; he tricked us like this." 0

"So Chu Feifan—" 0

"He must have been captured too, but I don't understand why he would use a fake to deceive us." After a pause, she continued, "No matter what tricks they are playing, we must be careful." 0

"Mm!" 0

Although the person impersonating Chu Feifan wore the same clothes as him, their aura was still different. He kept his head down, preventing them from seeing his face, and A-Jian deliberately made sure they could only see his back. However, Su Jin'er still noticed; everyone has their own unique way of walking, and no matter how well one pretends, it can still be discerned. 0

Zuo Yi and Gaya Ze also realized this. The questions forming in their minds were the same as Su Jin'er's; they were puzzled as to why a fake was needed, especially since they would definitely recognize him when they were locked up later. 0

With such doubts in mind, they were taken back to their living quarters. The partitions were gone, and the bed and table were missing, leaving only dust floating in every corner of the empty room. 0

"Hey! Where's our bed?" Zuo Yi shouted at them. 0

"As prisoners, you still want a bed? You must be dreaming!" said a scrawny man with a sharp face. He looked almost skeletal, with a waxy complexion like someone who had been bedridden for a long time. 0

Zuo Yi frowned. 0

"Also, do you think you can still stay here?" The man laughed, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth that made them feel nauseous. 0

Then he took out some cloth and had someone blindfold them. 0

"No way! Not this again," Zuo Yi gritted his teeth. 0

"It seems they really enjoy blinding us!" Gaya Ze said with a laugh. 0

"This just further suggests that there are many unspeakable secrets in this village," Su Jin'er remarked. 0

Snap— 0

A loud slap stunned them all. 0

Since they were all blindfolded, they had no idea who had been hit. 0

"Who got slapped?" 0

The first to speak was Linyuan. 0

"Not me!" Gaya Ze replied. 0

"It was Jin'er," Zuo Yi said. 0

"You damn bastard!" Linyuan shouted angrily. 0

Su Jin'er remained silent, feeling a burning sensation on her face, tears almost spilling over. She bit her lip, trying hard to hold back her tears. 0

"You bastard!" Zuo Yi and Gaya Ze cursed simultaneously. 0

"Jin'er, where are you?" Linyuan cried out. 0

Before Su Jin'er could respond, she heard the sound of a fist hitting a face, causing Linyuan to cry even harder. 0

Who had been hit? 0

They were all tied up and blindfolded, relying solely on their hearing to discern positions and sounds. 0

"Damn it, if you have the guts, untie my ropes! I'll fight you!" Zuo Yi spat out the sweet-tasting blood from his mouth and cursed. 0

It is Zuo Yi! 0

“Zuo Yi, don’t fight with them. We only have losses to suffer now, Zuo Yi!” Su Jin'er cried. She could endure the beating herself, but she couldn’t drag her friends into this; it was all her fault for saying that. 0

Then came another round of punches and kicks, along with Gaya Ze's effort to suppress his sounds of pain. 0

“Stop it! Don’t hit them anymore!” Su Jin'er shouted loudly. 0

“Damn it! If there’s anything, come at me. Don’t hurt my friends!” 0

Chu Feifan? 0

Su Jin'er heard Chu Feifan's voice. 0

“Jin'er, are you okay?” Chu Feifan wanted to rush over but was held back. He was also tied up and seeing the blood at the corner of Su Jin'er’s mouth made him feel like he wanted to kill himself. If he hadn’t told those foolish villagers, none of this would have happened. 0
