After Su Jin'er was discharged from the hospital, they did not go directly to the forest. The person dressed in black could very well be the Killer. He had already killed three people and wouldn't care about taking a few more lives. The reasons for murder usually fall into a few categories: revenge, passion, or accidents. However, the most terrifying type is when someone views killing as an art; such individuals are the most frightening. 0

The school felt even more desolate, with nearly half of the students gone. The remaining students had to stay for various reasons, their faces either filled with fear or completely indifferent. 0

In the classroom, the four of them sat quietly. The large room had only a dozen students studying, and the only sound was the rustling of pages. Su Jin'er lowered her head, Linyuan fiddled with her fingers, Chu Feifan gazed out the window, and Zuo Yi flipped through a yellowed book. 0

"Su Jin'er, don't you know a police officer? Didn't she tell you any information after the coroner's examination?" 0

Hearing Zuo Yi's words, Su Jin'er was taken aback. That day, Li Jing only told them that Grandpa Liu died of a heart attack. However, she clearly remembered that Grandpa Liu's lips were purple and his facial expression did not show the pain typical of a heart attack. How could she have been so foolish! 0

"It seems Li Jing really has some issues!" she laughed helplessly, realizing she had been too naive. 0

"You can't blame yourself; none of us know much about forensic science. Even if we saw the body, we wouldn't be able to tell anything," Chu Feifan said while looking at Su Jin'er. Just then, he caught a glimpse of something black out of the corner of his eye and turned his head back toward the window. 0

Outside, a Black Shadow stood in the corner, looking up at the building. 0

"Who is that person?" he asked in surprise. 0

The three quickly turned to look outside. Although they couldn't see inside from outside, they felt two chilling gazes that seemed to freeze them in place. 0

"That person is the one we saw in the small forest," Linyuan said with wide eyes and fear. 0

If this person was indeed the Killer, then anyone in the school could be in danger. How could the school's security office allow such a suspicious person onto campus? 0

"We should go down and find him." 0

As the four stood up to leave, a voice said softly, "Stop!" 0

They turned around to find the source of the voice. 0

"It's you?" Chu Feifan said in astonishment. 0

The speaker was Zhang Yang, a roommate of Chu Feifan and Zuo Yi, and Su Jin'er and Linyuan were also familiar with him. 0

"You can't fight against him; your actions will only lead him to continue killing." 0

Zhang Yang usually didn't like to talk. In the dormitory, he only spoke occasionally, and his words were often just a few pitiful syllables; he had always been a lone wolf. 0

"What do you know? Hurry up and tell us!" Linyuan said anxiously, feeling a chill at the thought that the person would continue killing. 0

Zhang Yang rarely smiled, but when he did, it quickly faded back to his usual expressionless demeanor. "I don't think I said that the Killer is someone from outside!" 0

"Zhang Yang, do you know who the Killer is?" Chu Feifan asked, frowning tightly at his roommate. 0

"You don't need to investigate any further; we're all going to die. No one can escape!" His voice was cold, yet his tone sounded as if he were discussing something completely ordinary. 0

"Nonsense!" Su Jin'er glared at him. What he said was almost identical to what they had seen written on the wall by Li Yiqian in their dormitory. 0

"Have you forgotten about that curse? No one cursed can escape." 0

They stared rigidly at Zhang Yang. During Military Training, they encountered a strange woman, and it was she who spoke the words of the curse—words they had never believed—now coming from their classmate's mouth felt even more bizarre and terrifying. 0

"There can't be such a strange thing as a curse," Su Jin'er still refused to believe it. If curses were real, then many bad people should have been punished, and there would be no need for laws. 0

"Are you suggesting that Xu Mengguang, Li Ran, Zhang Junsheng, and Old Man Liu died by suicide or accident? The police found no evidence left by another person at the scene. You all know this but refuse to accept it; how foolish!" 0

"They were useless!" Linyuan shouted back loudly, her volume betraying her lack of confidence. 0

"Then why don't you go find out? Aren't you all so smart? Just because you've read a few detective novels doesn't make you detectives; you're being too self-righteous!" Zhang Yang's words struck like daggers, knocking them down one by one. 0

They were indeed not detectives, so up until now, they had no clues at all. Su Jin'er sat dejectedly in her chair; she felt so naive. But what about those lost memories? Why did fragmented images keep appearing in her mind that she couldn't piece together? 0

Who was that man in black? Who could control someone's thoughts to make them commit suicide? Could it really be supernatural powers? But now that Linyuan had been targeted, if they stopped investigating now, would it let them go? 0

A series of terrifying images flashed through her mind, and she was on the verge of breaking down. 0

"What do you suggest we do? Tell me!" Chu Feifan looked at him and asked, "Are you implying that this is the work of supernatural forces?" 0

"Whether it's supernatural or not, this is beyond what you and I can stop. I advise you to immediately cease this foolish behavior." 0

"No, it's not just four people anymore; Wu Nannan is dead too." Su Jin'er trembled as she spoke, overwhelmed by the recent events that had left her mind in chaos, as if she could no longer control it. 0

"When did that happen?" Chu Feifan and Zuo Yi asked in surprise. 0

"Jin'er, didn't you tell them about your inexplicable amnesia?" Linyuan looked at the pale-faced Su Jin'er. 0

"I'm so confused; my mind feels jumbled. I can't remember when everything happened recently. Xiaoyuan, when did Wu Nannan die?" Su Jin'er kept shaking, her teeth chattering despite the classroom's heating being on full blast. 0

"Jin'er, what's wrong? Why are you trembling? Are you cold?" Linyuan took her hand but found it colder than ice. 0

At some point, only the four of them remained in the classroom; even Zhang Yang had vanished, as if it had always been just the four of them from the beginning. 0

"Tell me, when did we go to town? When did Wu Nannan die?" 0

"Four days ago. Today is Saturday, so that would be Wednesday." 0

"We need to take her to the hospital." Chu Feifan picked up Su Jin'er and rushed out of the classroom, while Zuo Yi and Linyuan gathered their books and followed. 0

Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor advised them to see a psychiatrist, suggesting there might be a mental issue. Chu Feifan looked incredulously at Su Jin'er in his arms. How could this happen? He had only been gone for a few days; how could things have turned so dire? He hated himself for not waiting until this was over before leaving! Linyuan was already in tears, while Su Jin'er had lost consciousness. 0

In the psychiatric department, after examining her, the doctor said, "Have you taken her to see a psychologist?" 0

Linyuan shook her head. "Her mental state has always been healthy; why would we need to see a psychologist?" 0

"That's strange. She seems to exhibit signs of schizophrenia but also appears to have been hypnotized. However, her will is strong; she has been fighting against another version of herself. But with two consciousnesses in one person, the mind can gradually become chaotic. Perhaps that's why she's in this condition." 0

"Is there any way to make it happen?" 0

"You should go find a professional psychologist and give it a try!" 0

"Linyuan, tell me, how many things are you still hiding from us? Why did Jin'er lose her memory?" Chu Feifan roared like an angry lion, his eyes bloodshot. 0

"She lost her memory after she went missing that day. Jin'er didn't want to tell you all. Also, that Xiaoqing, her real name is Li Yiqing, she is Li Yiqian's older sister. And the night before last, when we were staying at the hotel, I almost committed suicide." 0

"Why didn't you tell us these things?" 0

"Jin'er wouldn't let me. She wanted to investigate alone, but after I found out, she insisted on taking me with her." 0

"She's so foolish; she actually thought she could bear all the problems alone." For the first time, Chu Feifan shed tears. "My dad knows a very skilled psychologist; I'll contact him immediately." 0

Using his father's connections, Chu Feifan found the psychologist. After they sent Su Jin'er to his office, they were asked to leave. 0

Linyuan was sobbing on Zuo Yi's shoulder while Chu Feifan hung his head, his hands tangled in his hair as he pulled at it fiercely. 0

No matter what happens, there are reasons and corresponding results. But what could be the reason for Su Jin'er's situation? Is it a curse? 0

"Damn that curse!" With that thought, Chu Feifan punched the wall. 0

Linyuan and Zuo Yi looked at him, seeing his tear-streaked face but feeling powerless. Time passed second by second, but every minute was torture for them; they had no idea what was happening inside the room. 0

Every psychologist must keep their patients' information confidential, so the walls of the office are completely soundproof. People outside cannot hear anything from inside; even if they pressed their ears against the wall, they wouldn't be able to listen in. 0

After about an hour, the door finally opened. 0

"Feifan, come in!" The psychologist called Chu Feifan into the room. 0

"Uncle Li, what happened to Jin'er? What exactly is wrong with her?" 0

"Don't rush, I'll tell you slowly." The psychologist poured a glass of water and placed it in front of Chu Feifan, then said, "One thing I can tell you clearly is that she has been hypnotized before, and a part of her memory was forcibly erased. However, this shouldn't cause confusion in her consciousness. But now, I don't know what someone has done to her that has completely confused her mind. Perhaps this is the reason she fell into a coma. Did you take her to the hospital for an examination?" 0

"We did, but they couldn't find any reason." 0

"I have never encountered such a situation, so I'm sorry, but I don't know how to treat it." 0

"Uncle Li, what happened to Jin'er? If even you can't help her, who else can save her?" 0

Dr. Li shook his head. 0

"What is the worst-case scenario?" 0

"Brain death." 0
