The next day, Chu Feifan inquired about the circumstances surrounding his brother's death. The coroner had determined that his brother died from being burned, with his entire body charred, yet his face remained intact. They all knew that Chu Bufan valued his appearance above all else, and it was likely he had tried to protect his face during the fire. A large amount of alcohol was found in his stomach, indicating that he had been drinking before he died.
"What do you think about this matter?" Zuo Yi asked Chu Feifan while sitting in the dormitory.
"I suspect it might be murder!" He knew his brother was intelligent; if he could escape from prison, how could he easily commit suicide? "But I can't rule out the possibility of an accident."
Zuo Yi nodded. "Your brother's situation shouldn't be related to what happened at our school, right?"
"I don't know. Many things seem unrelated at first but later turn out to be closely connected. By the way, how are Jin'er and the others doing?"
"They went to town; they should be back by now."
"Aren't you going with them?"
"It's that Chairman! She clung to me when she saw you weren't around, insisting that there were important documents we needed in the data room. If I didn't go with her, she said she would burn the documents, so I had no choice but to go. In the end, I found out she was lying."

After the phone rang, a familiar voice came through.
"Jin'er, where are you?"
"We're not far from town..."
A busy tone came from the phone.
"Damn it!" Chu Feifan cursed angrily.
"What happened?"
"The call suddenly dropped. She said they were somewhere near the town, let's go to the town first."
At this moment, Su Jin'er and Linyuan were walking towards a small grove. They had originally decided to return to school, but thinking about it, they wanted to check if there were any clues, because they were very scared after what happened to Linyuan yesterday. "Is it a gas bomb?"
"Yes, this type of gas bomb produces different effects depending on how much is inhaled. In severe cases, it can cause death; in lighter cases, it induces vomiting! The most terrifying part is that it can cause hallucinations, leading people to either commit murder or suicide."
"So you're saying someone has used this kind of gas bomb?"
Su Jin'er shook her head. If that were the case, it would be much simpler because there would be medicine to treat it. "Young Master, I know you're anxious. You can't wait to appear in front of her immediately, but we don't even know which direction they're in. How can we find them without asking around? They found a restaurant and walked in. Perhaps it was fate, or perhaps this restaurant was truly the cleanest in town; they chose the same place that Su Jin'er and her friends had picked yesterday.
The two boys sat at a table by the window, and the women around them couldn't help but glance at these two handsome guys.
When the waiter came over to take their order, Chu Feifan asked, "Did two very beautiful girls come here yesterday?"
"There are beautiful girls everywhere; I don't know which two you mean."
"They have big eyes and long eyelashes—just really, really pretty. They're also students from the medical school like us." Chu Feifan was somewhat incoherent; although Su Jin'er's appearance was clear in his mind, he just didn't know how to describe it.
"What is your relationship with her?"
"I'm her boyfriend."
The waiter's expression changed instantly from polite to hostile: "I don't know. Do you still want to order?"
The sudden shift in the waiter's attitude left them confused. Seeing the anger on the waiter's face, they had no choice but to order obediently. After placing their order, the waiter shot Chu Feifan a fierce glare before leaving.
As the waiter walked away, Chu Feifan said, "Do I know him?"
Zuo Yi shook his head with a smile.
"Do I have a grudge against him?"
Zuo Yi shook his head again.
"Then why does he look like I owe him money?"
"That's because he's... jealous!"
"Jealous? Are you out of your mind?" As soon as Chu Feifan finished speaking, he froze: "Do you mean Jin'er and the others came here?"
Zuo Yi nodded, seemingly not yet blinded by emotions.
At that moment, a very plump woman walked over. When she saw Chu Feifan and Zuo Yi, her eyes lit up, and she approached with a smile: "Are you two handsome guys looking for some pretty girls?"
"Yes! Do you know where they are?" Chu Feifan asked.
Zuo Yi glanced at her but remained silent, turning his head to look out the window. He disliked such overweight women who thought they were attractive and acted flirtatiously.
"I certainly know them; they stayed at my inn yesterday!" She deliberately sat down next to Zuo Yi as she spoke.
Hearing her words, Zuo Yi turned his head back, only to meet the Landlady's eyes, which were squinted into a narrow slit due to her chubby face. He couldn't help but frown.
"Oh—this young man seems to be unwelcoming. Then I'll take my leave!" The Landlady began to shift her bulky body to leave.
Chu Feifan nudged Zuo Yi with his mouth, and Zuo Yi reluctantly said, "Auntie, I'm not unwelcoming. Could you please sit down and tell us where they went?"
Upon hearing this, the Landlady chuckled and sat down: "They asked me about the little forest yesterday, but it's very dangerous there, so I didn't tell them. I just shared some information about it, and then they left."
The Landlady rambled on about everything that happened yesterday, including how they bravely tried to save someone but ended up saving the wrong person, and how they returned at night and checked out in the morning.
"Are you sure you didn't tell them the location of the small grove?"
The Landlady firmly shook her head.
"Then can you tell us the location of the small grove?" Zuo Yi asked with a smile.
The Landlady thought for a moment and said, "Since you both look decent and don't seem like bad people, I'll tell you!"
The Landlady provided them with the specific address and then reluctantly left their table, looking back three times.
"This woman is really strange, saying she would tell us because we look decent and don't seem like bad people. It's disgusting!" Zuo Yi mimicked the Landlady's tone.
"This isn't the time to discuss whether she's disgusting or not. Let's finish eating quickly and go find them. I have a feeling they're over there."
