"I don't agree," Lin Bingbing replied without hesitation, her expression slightly displeased.
Seeing Lin Bingbing's unrelenting refusal, both Xiao He and Cheng Kai's faces darkened. Given their status, to be honest, celebrities were merely playthings in their eyes. They never expected Lin Bingbing to be so ungrateful as to dare refuse them.
"What? Lin the Beautiful, do you not think highly of Cheng Kai?" Xiao He's tone turned cold. His father was the Central China Underground Leader, known for his domineering ways. As his son, he was not someone to be trifled with. He was used to rejecting others and had never been outright rejected himself.
Noticing the tense atmosphere, Liu Sisi quickly intervened, saying, "Xiao He, Bingbing already has someone she likes. Why don’t we let Cheng Kai consider my other two friends?"
"Don't tell me Lin the Beautiful likes this guy?" Xiao He glanced at Jiang Chen with a sneer.
Liu Sisi nodded. Since Lin Bingbing brought Jiang Chen along, although he was labeled as her bodyguard, Liu Sisi suspected he was more likely her boyfriend. Even if they weren't officially together yet, he was at least someone Lin Bingbing liked. At their young age, how could he possibly be a martial arts expert?
"Lin the Beautiful, this guy is clearly worlds apart from Cheng Kai. You actually like him? It's like a beautiful flower growing from cow dung; he doesn't deserve you," Xiao He said disdainfully.
"Xiao Shao, I'm here to support you because of Sisi's sake. I hope you won't drag other matters into this. Who I like is my own business and has nothing to do with you," Lin Bingbing replied calmly, deliberately ignoring Liu Sisi's comment.
Lin Bingbing believed in Yue Hui. Since Jiang Chen had such great abilities and was her support and confidence now, she no longer feared any powerful figures.
"Who you like indeed has nothing to do with me, but now that Cheng Kai has taken an interest in you, it does concern me. If you refuse him, it will make me lose face. I dislike it when others tarnish my reputation," Xiao He said lightly, his words dripping with arrogance.
Hearing Xiao He's words made not only Lin Bingbing but also Li Ruoxi and others frown slightly, feeling displeased. What did Xiao He take them for?
"Xiao Shao, I'm here to support you because of Sisi's sake. If you're going to say that, then it's pointless," Lin Bingbing said in a low voice, already feeling angry.
"Lin the Beautiful, don't push your luck. My patience is limited," Xiao He replied impatiently.
"My patience is also limited. Xiao Shao, if you continue to act unreasonable, I won't play along anymore," Lin Bingbing said coldly.
"What? Want to leave? Since you're here, it's not up to you to decide when to go," Xiao He sneered.
As the atmosphere grew tense, Liu Sisi quickly advised, "What are you all doing? We're friends; there's no need for this kind of conflict. Xiao He, since Bingbing already has someone she likes, don't force her. Ruoxi and Ailing are both very pretty and single; Cheng Kai could consider them instead! What do you think about Cheng Kai?"
Liu Sisi exchanged glances with Li Ruoxi and Zhou Ailing. They felt helpless; although they were somewhat displeased with Xiao He's arrogance, they couldn't afford to offend someone from such a prominent family.
"Cheng Shao seems quite nice; if he's willing, I wouldn't mind spending some time with him," Li Ruoxi said with a smile.
"I'm not interested in either of you; I'm only interested in Lin Bingbing." Cheng Kai directly rejected Li Ruoxi's advances without hesitation.
His words fell like a bucket of cold water on Li Ruoxi and Zhou Ailing's heads, leaving them speechless.
Cheng Kai looked at Jiang Chen and said lightly, "How much do you want for you to roll away from Lin Bingbing?"
Jiang Chen found it somewhat amusing but still extended a finger.
"One million? Sure, no problem. Just give me your account number, and I'll transfer it to you right away," Cheng Kai scoffed, appearing nonchalant and wealthy.
Jiang Chen did not respond.
"Ten million?"
Jiang Chen remained silent.
"Could it be one hundred million?" Even though Cheng Kai came from a wealthy family, one hundred million was still no small amount. Yet, Jiang Chen still did not react.
"Kid, are you messing with me? Is it one billion then?" Cheng Kai was getting angry.
"You underestimate me too much. What I mean is ten trillion. If you can come up with ten trillion, I might consider leaving," Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
At this remark, everyone was stunned. Was Jiang Chen not clearly mocking Cheng Kai?
Cheng Kai and Xiao He were even more furious. They had seen the Lion's Share before, but they had never encountered someone like Jiang Chen who would demand such an outrageous price. Ten trillion—how could he even say that?
"You have two options now: one million to get lost, or not a dime and still get lost. Choose your path," Cheng Kai said indifferently.
"I think the one who should be getting lost is you," Jiang Chen chuckled. Although Cheng Kai had some martial arts skills, in Jiang Chen's eyes, they were negligible. It was laughable for someone like him to act tough in front of Jiang Chen.
"Kid, are you tired of living? Don't force me to take action. I can kill a grizzly bear with one punch; just imagine what would happen if I hit you with that punch," Cheng Kai said angrily, demonstrating his clenched fist in front of Jiang Chen.
"You can kill a grizzly bear with one punch? I can blow up the Earth with one punch," Jiang Chen replied with a smile.
Cheng Kai gritted his teeth in anger; how could Jiang Chen disregard him like this? He couldn't swallow this humiliation and slammed his fist down on the table in front of him. The oak table shattered into pieces upon impact.
Liu Sisi and the others turned pale with fright and quickly stood up, retreating to the side.
A large round table collapsed with a loud crash.
The power of that punch was terrifying; usually, one would only see such feats in dramas where martial experts could smash tables with a slap. To think someone could actually do it in reality was astonishing.
After smashing the table and stabilizing his breath, Cheng Kai looked at Jiang Chen and sneered arrogantly, "Kid, do you think I'm joking with you? Hurry up and get lost. If I take action, you'll be lying in the hospital during New Year's Day."
Jiang Chen shook his head, feeling amused.
"What are you laughing at?" Cheng Kai shouted angrily. Having displayed such terrifying strength, it infuriated him that Jiang Chen remained unfazed and acted as if it were nothing serious.
