It is said that Yin Yuwei was the first love of Chonglingzi during his youth. Back then, in pursuit of the path of immortality, Chonglingzi resolutely abandoned Yin Yuwei to join the Azure Sky Palace. Such occurrences are not uncommon in the Cultivation World. Originally, the two were expected to have no further connection, as time and the chasm between mortals and immortals drew a deep divide between them, separating them into two distant worlds. However, no one anticipated that the abandoned Yin Yuwei would, by chance, become a disciple of the Yandao Demon Lord and his most favored student.
Countless years passed, and one became the renowned leader of Azure Sky Palace, one of the Nine Major Sects of the Immortal Sect, while the other established Piao Ling Hall and became one of Yandao's four major disciples, shaking the Demon Sect and the Cultivation World. From then on, they became irreconcilable enemies.
However, this was not the end of the story.
It is said that Yin Yuwei's hatred for unfaithful men stems from her past relationship with Chonglingzi. Yet over the years, despite being so close in proximity, Azure Sky Palace and Piao Ling Hall have had no conflicts, leading many to suspect that Chonglingzi and Yin Yuwei have rekindled their old romance.
Although there is no evidence proving that Chonglingzi has betrayed them, caution is still warranted. This is why Xuan Xuzi has reassigned Azure Sky Palace to this team, away from the southern battlefield. Moreover, Xuan Xuzi had previously summoned Yuan Zhenzi for a long discussion, revealing this secret and instructing him to keep a close watch. As time passes and the battle draws to a close, it becomes evident that Chonglingzi is increasingly restless. It is feared that his return is not to assist Penglai Chaozhen Gate but rather to rescue his old flame!
Upon thinking of this, Yuan Zhenzi snorted coldly, his gaze towards Chonglingzi filled with disdain.
Suddenly, a delicate voice reached his ears: "Yuan Zhenzi, there are indeed errors in Chonglingzi's actions. Regardless of what happens later, please believe that we at Azure Sky Palace remain part of the Immortal Sect."
Yuan Zhenzi's heart stirred at these words. Though simple, they conveyed two messages: first, Azure Sky Palace was expressing its stance that Chonglingzi's actions were his own and did not represent the entire sect; second, if Chonglingzi were to act out later, someone from Azure Sky Palace would take decisive action against him.
It must be one of the four Guardian Elders who came along with Azure Sky Palace; only they possess such means and qualifications.
Yuan Zhenzi discreetly glanced at those four individuals. They all appeared middle-aged, around thirty or forty years old, with cultivation levels ranging from Mid-Stage Nascent Soul to Late Stage Nascent Soul—genuine cultivation achieved through hard work rather than elixirs. It was evident from their earlier joint effort that they had eliminated a significant number of Demon Sect monsters—around seventeen or eighteen at Nascent Soul Stage—demonstrating their formidable strength. If these four joined forces against Chonglingzi, his fate would be no better than those Demon Sect monsters.
Noticing Yuan Zhenzi's gaze upon them, one man with a long black beard immediately turned to nod subtly at Yuan Zhenzi before quickly looking away.
Yuan Zhenzi understood instantly; the person who had spoken was Tianqingzi, one of Azure Sky Palace's four Guardian Elders and highly respected within the sect.
Since even he harbored discontent, Yuan Zhenzi thought mockingly that this matter was already settled. He could only wait to see what fate awaited those who conspired with the Demon Sect Witch. With this thought in mind, Yuan Zhenzi's look towards Chonglingzi grew increasingly contemptuous.
The group hurried towards Piao Ling Hall.
When they were still two hundred miles away from Piao Ling Hall, two Golden Core Disciples from Penglai emerged from the clouds ahead. Upon spotting Chonglingzi and Yuan Zhenzi, they quickly concealed themselves. Shortly after, Yin Zezi, the leader of Penglai Sect, and Yajiangzi, the leader of Zhao Zhen Sect, rushed over. Both were stained with blood on their robes, indicating that this battle had not been easy.
Thinking about how smoothly things had gone on their side made Yuan Zhenzi feel somewhat pleased.
Yajiangzi heard that Ruyi Palace had been eradicated and let out a long sigh, but there was a hint of annoyance in his expression as he stroked his beard and said, "I have a bit of trouble here. That Witch has not yet been captured."
"What? She is not dead?" Yuan Zhenzi and Chonglingzi exclaimed in unison.
Yuan Zhenzi was angry, while Chonglingzi had a strange flush and excitement on his face.

Chonglingzi turned his head away, remaining silent, but his hand trembled slightly under the cover of his wide sleeves.
Yajiangzi and Yin Zezi were unaware of this matter and exchanged puzzled glances. Yuan Zhenzi was known for his fiery temper throughout the Immortal Sect, and it was surprising that he was at odds with Chonglingzi this time. They couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the good-natured Chonglingzi. The two quickly changed the topic, inviting Chonglingzi and Yuan Zhenzi to the battlefield.

However, right now, Emei Kongtong is still attacking Wave-Flow Palace, facing tough battles, and Yiyang is completely occupied. When they pointed out the location to him, without hesitation, Chuxiongzi nodded seriously and said, "Everyone step back a hundred miles; I will handle this!"
This was a gorge deep in the mountains; the place indicated by Yajiangzi was right in the center of it. Curious, Chuxiong wondered why this Celestial Artifact, which could hide people so well, was being used by that Yin Yuwei. Why did she only hide here instead of escaping? After checking all around, he soon understood why and couldn't help but nod secretly.
Knowing that Chuxiong had figured it out, Yajiangzi, feeling anxious yet somewhat pleased, smiled and said, "This is our supreme treasure from the Zhao Zhen Sect, the Xuan Yuan Flag. It has stabilized the surrounding space so that the Witch can only hide inside this Celestial Artifact, unable to escape at all. I will now collect the Xuan Yuan Flag. Chuxiong nodded and flew into the air to stand beside Black Abyss. After Yajiangzi collected the Xuan Yuan Flag, he used the method of borrowing power from the divine beast.
Black Abyss's body grew larger and more imposing, appearing endless in the sky. Only Chuxiong could sense that the innate Dragon Power from Black Abyss continuously flowed into him, transforming into his own spiritual energy within his Nascent Soul, which he poured into the Heavenly Axe in his hand.
The divine axe became brighter and larger, resembling a dazzling sun.
Feeling an infinite power filling his entire body, Chuxiong shouted loudly, leaping with the Heavenly Axe Ling Kong and striking heavily at the top of the Celestial Artifact.
The Celestial Artifact erupted with a brilliant blue light, intertwining gold and blue beams that shook violently.
A tremendous force rebounded, causing Chuxiong's Nascent Soul to be jolted, his viscera aching painfully. His body flew through the air like a cloud, soaring over a hundred miles before being caught by Yajiangzi who rushed over.
With a splatter, Chuxiong coughed up blood, spitting out chunks of black Purple Blood. After about ten spits, he finally began to expel fresh red blood, feeling the heaviness in his chest dissipate.
Yajiangzi was greatly alarmed: "That Celestial Artifact is incredibly powerful!"
Chuxiong coughed up another mouthful of fresh blood. After calming himself and inspecting internally, he shook his head and said, "I was injured internally by that rebounding force; once I expel it, I’ll be fine. We need to hurry over; I felt that my last strike has already opened a crack in that Celestial Artifact!"
"Great! That's wonderful!" Yajiangzi exclaimed joyfully. Without waiting for orders, Yuan Zhenzi and others surged forward.
Countless magical treasures bombarded the area again.
No matter how exquisite the Celestial Artifact was, it could not withstand Chuxiong's thunderous strike! Having already created a crack, the chaotic bombardment from everyone caused loud cracking sounds until its true form finally emerged.
An Azure Treasure Lotus Platform appeared in the streambed. The Lotus Platform was clearly extraordinary; however, although its blue treasure light still flowed gently, it was dimming rapidly, indicating that its spiritual energy was dissipating. Yin Yuwei sat at the center of the Lotus Platform with her eyes tightly closed. Her complexion was as pale as paper, with thin streams of blood flowing from her seven orifices, looking extremely tragic. Surrounding her were three to five female disciples who had been killed by the shockwave.
Yuan Zhenzi sneered: "Witch! Today is your day; surrender!" A beam of Azure Light shot out swiftly—it was Yuan Zhenzi's renowned high-grade spirit tool, Dripping Water Guanyin.
Just as it was about to reach her, suddenly a sword light of azure green flew in from nowhere with a crisp sound, deflecting Dripping Water Guanyin away.
Yuan Zhenzi looked up and, instead of getting angry, smiled. Shaking her finger at Chonglingzi, she repeatedly said, "Good, good, good! You really are in cahoots with the Witch, even now you come to save her life! Such deep feelings, I must admire you!" Suddenly raising her voice, she shouted, "Tianqingzi, what do you have to say!"
The four Tianqingzi exchanged glances and sighed quietly. In the next moment, they surrounded Chonglingzi.
Tianqingzi said coldly, "Chonglingzi, you have colluded with the Demon Sect and the Witch, betraying the Immortal Sect and our school. Now we four Guardian Elders announce that we will strip you of your position as Sect Leader and expel you from our sect. After assessing your crimes, we will cleanse our ranks!"
After speaking, the four drew their Flying Swords, surrounding Chonglingzi and preparing to strike.
Suddenly, a clear voice rang out: "Wait!"
It was Yin Yuwei from the Azure Treasure Lotus Platform.
She gasped as she slowly stood up, opening her bright eyes. Although blood flowed from her seven orifices, it did not diminish her enchanting celestial beauty. The thin trails of blood only accentuated her like a Cuckoo crying blood; one couldn't help but feel pity. Standing on the Azure Treasure Lotus Platform with her flowing garments, she resembled a fairy from a lotus flower, stunningly beautiful.
All the members of the Immortal Sect couldn't help but sigh slightly. This woman was indeed a rare beauty; her aura was nothing like that of the Witch—she was more akin to a celestial being. No wonder Azure Sky Palace's Chonglingzi would go to such lengths for her.
Yin Yuwei smiled bitterly, tears glistening in her eyes. However, she then spoke loudly: "I have nothing to do with this person; if you want to kill someone, kill me instead."
