Kunlun.
Jade Lake is vast and beautiful, with countless Celestial Birds dancing gracefully around the Twelve Jade Towers. In the distance, the Azure Garden of the Kunlun occasionally sends forth showers of flowers, resembling a fairyland. Inside Qionghua Palace, Xuan Xuzi leans against a jade railing, gazing at the familiar scenery outside, his expression stern.
Ling Jizi and his companions have been here for three days.
Ling Jizi argues that at that time, the evidence was conclusive; Chu Hongzi indeed colluded with the Demon Sect, which severely harmed the Nine Li Sect, forcing them to seal the mountain. Yue Mangzi angrily shouts that Xuan Xuzi, as the sect leader, is being unfair. If he acknowledges the Exiled Nine Li Sect, it would mean opposing the current Nine Li Sect, and he will surely gather all the immortals to confront him.
Xuan Xuzi is not concerned about whether Li Hong is a traitor; he wants to know why Ling Jizi is ignoring him and what has been happening within the Nine Li Sect. However, these questions are brushed aside by Ling Jizi and his companions. Even when Xuan Xuzi privately discusses matters with Ling Jizi, he cannot get to the bottom of it.
Feeling that something is off, Xuan Xuzi experiences an indescribable sense of danger in front of the three. He secretly sends skilled members of his sect to investigate their conditions, but the results seem normal. The reason for "seems" is that those experts, including Xuan Xuzi himself, cannot detect anything unusual about them but still feel an inexplicable sense of wrongness.
It is important to note that relying solely on feelings is useless. Therefore, Xuan Xuzi has no choice but to find an excuse to keep the three around, hoping to observe them longer and see if they reveal any flaws.
The three of them are pleased with this development because they have a mission assigned by Guo Wanli that must be completed.
That night at Midnight, a strange black shadow suddenly flies out from the Inn.
Those monitoring from the shadows immediately spring into action and discover it is Ling Jizi. He sneaks out wearing a black stealth outfit, seemingly up to something. Following him closely, those watching quickly report back to Xuan Xuzi.
After pondering for a long time, Xuan Xuzi orders those in the shadows to follow him without alarming him, wanting to see what exactly Ling Jizi intends to do.
Not long after, another figure slips out of the Inn, this time it is Yue Mangzi. Like Ling Jizi, he wears a black robe and appears sneaky.
Xuan Xuzi is astonished and finds it almost amusing; do they think they can act like thieves? It’s simply outrageous!
He sends people to follow Yue Mangzi. At this moment, Xuan Xuzi can't help but wonder what the remaining Ling Xiaozi is doing. Finding an excuse to check on their room, he is shocked to discover that he thought was left behind in the Inn, has mysteriously vanished.
All members of Kunlun secretly mobilize and search frantically for Ling Xiaozi.
Finally, he found him at Kunpu, lingering in front of numerous Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, pretending to be reluctant to leave.
Xuan Xuzi had just breathed a sigh of relief when he turned around and was suddenly informed by the person tracking Yue Mangzi that they had lost him!
This was a shocking revelation. Clearly, the three had executed a clever ruse to provide cover for Yue Mangzi. At that moment, Xuan Xuzi could no longer hide his intentions and ordered that Ling Xiaozi be brought back to the Inn. He personally appeared before Ling Jizi and questioned him about his true intentions. However, Ling Jizi feigned ignorance, deliberately shaking his head as if he knew nothing.
Two hours later, just as everyone had nearly turned Kunlun upside down in their search, Yue Mangzi suddenly reappeared before them, insisting that he only wanted to see Kunlun's night scenery.
Seeing Yue Mangzi's appearance, Ling Jizi immediately raised a fuss, claiming that Xuan Xuzi did not regard the three of them seriously. He stated that it was pointless to stay any longer and that there were many matters to attend to inside. If the Sect Leader had no further instructions, the three would take their leave and return to Nine Li Cave Heaven.
Everyone from Kunlun was left bewildered. Seeing Ling Jizi insist on leaving, Xuan Xuzi could no longer retain them. Although he felt an indescribable strangeness in his heart, he thought that Ling Jizi had not revealed any flaws; perhaps his earlier act was merely an excuse for leaving. Xuan Xuzi had no choice but to let the three leave Kunlun.
Under the watchful eyes of Kunlun's people, Ling Jizi and the others flew towards Lüliang without looking back. A few hours later, they entered Nine Li Cave Heaven and did not come out again.
The more Xuan Xuzi thought about it, the stranger it became. Suddenly, an idea struck him, and he began to inspect Kunlun's important locations.
Sure enough, three days later, it was discovered that an outsider had entered the ninth level of Nine Mystic Pavilion.
Nine Mystic Pavilion was actually Kunlun's Scripture Repository, containing all of Kunlun's important texts, from the supreme scripture "Six Harmonies Spirit Flight Scripture" to the notes of past Ancestors. The texts were arranged by rarity from the first level to the ninth level; only elder-level figures could access the ninth level with the Sect Leader's approval.
That outsider somehow managed to enter the deepest ninth level without triggering any Restrictions; moreover, they seemed purposeful in their actions, ignoring other texts entirely and even leaving untouched the "Six Harmonies Spirit Flight Scripture," focusing solely on one book. However, this book was significant—it was the "Supreme Talisman Scripture," personally written by Kunlun Patriarch Nine Spirit Supreme Golden Mother. It contained the highest-level spirit talisman techniques of Kunlun that were not publicly shared, including several forbidden spirit talismans unique to Kunlun, such as those related to Kunlun Town's treasures and Golden Mother's Twelve Azure Spirit Talismans.
Although this person cleverly bypassed the Restrictions without triggering any alarms, they still left traces of their intrusion. Records indicated that this talisman book had last been borrowed by someone from Kunlun three years ago, leading to its discovery.
Xuan Xuzi listened in shock. Could it be that during those two hours when Yue Mangzi went missing, he was studying this talisman book? How did he manage to enter without triggering any Restrictions?! Xuan Xuzi immediately summoned the leaders of the Eight Major Sects again and sent a message to Li Hong, urging him to come to Kunlun.
When Li Hong received the message, he hesitated for a long time.
Xuan Xuzi was vague, but from his tone, it seemed that Ling Jizi and the others had done something after arriving at Kunlun. Xuan Xuzi finally tore off the pretense and decided to admit his involvement.

Li Hong also laughed heartily and cupped his hands in greeting. "It is an honor to have Sect Leader Uncle here; Chu Hongzi is quite flattered."
The two pretended to engage in "warm" pleasantries as if they had long forgotten their grievances from that fateful night when they battled against the Demon Sect years ago. Behind them, Kunlun Elders Xuan Chengzi and Xuan Qingzi exchanged glances; recalling their sect leader's instruction to treat Chu Hongzi with respect made them approach this once-despised junior with solemnity.
Speaking of which, Li Hong also had minor grievances with Xuan Chengzi. Since they were treating each other with courtesy now, Li Hong naturally reciprocated politely. He instructed Black Abyss to retract its massive dragon form before following Yiyang and the others into Kunlun Heaven.
Though Yiyang smiled on the surface, his heart sank deeply.
He was not here to welcome Li Hong at all; he had heard that Xuan Xuzi was preparing to acknowledge Li Hong as the leader of the Nine Li Sect, and he specifically came out to give Li Hong a show of strength. However, upon seeing Li Hong in person, he realized Xuan Xuzi's foresight.
Now, Li Hong had already risen to be among the top ten experts of the Immortal Sect, far surpassing him, Yiyang. A show of strength? It was already quite impressive that Li Hong hadn't given him one!
