Some eggs were placed individually in one vat while others were grouped together in smaller ones. They came in various shapes: oval, elongated oval, perfectly round, and even square; colors ranged from white to gray to red and purple-black—truly a dazzling array.
Wuwei and the others were mesmerized as they rushed to the side of the vats to examine each one closely.
These were indeed eggs from Ancient Spirit Beasts found on the first level of the Treasury; however, those recognizable as Heavenly Born Divine Beasts like phoenixes or Divine Dragons had been excluded. Heavenly Born Divine Beasts were born with extraordinary talents; as long as they weren't killed, they would automatically advance and eventually become true divine beasts capable of transformation with formidable combat power. A Divine Dragon that advanced to Low-Level Celestial Beast could even defeat a spirit beast that had already transformed into human form at a lower level. Because of their overwhelming combat strength, Li Hong and Chuxuan decided not to give any Heavenly Born Divine Beast eggs to Wuwei and the others.
Recently, an entire layer of the ninth floor of the temple had been cleared out. Li Hong along with Chuxuan and Yue Changzi partitioned all large rooms into smaller ones and moved all the eggs from the Treasury here—one egg per room. This was done to prevent all precious Ancient Spirit Beast eggs from being suppressed by the Ancient God Formation. Those clearly capable of hatching quickly were separated out along with Divine Dragons and other Heavenly Born Divine Beasts with exceptional Spiritual Energy to be given to Little Fei Black Abyss; this further reduced their number by another fifty or sixty before selecting over a hundred for Wuwei and his group. There were still two or three hundred left that wouldn't hatch as quickly; these were placed in small rooms with appropriate Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures underneath them for support while being protected by Spirit Talismans outside. Every day Chu Hai led people on patrols to take good care of them. Over time, these eggs would surely hatch one after another.

Li Hong smiled as he handed Wuwei the materials and precautions needed for hatching the little Pegasus. Wuwei joyfully clutched the egg and flew back to his room. It was clear that in the days to come, he wouldn't leave until the little Pegasus hatched.

Moments later, they arrived at Yan Luo's room on the eighth floor. In the center of her room was a nest made of seaweed filled with sparkling precious Fluid Sand. The egg stood upright in the Fluid Sand, covered with fresh Fusang Immortal Wood leaves. Several days had passed since then; the leaves were slightly wilted now and no longer had that vibrant jade green color. Yet beneath the leaves, the egg occasionally moved slightly, indicating that everything seemed normal.
Li Hong walked around the nest three times, and Divine Consciousness reached into the eggshell, only to be startled. Inside, the creature had fully formed and was indeed a rare Heavenly Born Divine Beast.
However, Li Hong quickly realized that Yan Luo was telling the truth. This little creature seemed to be uncomfortable, curled up inside the eggshell. If it had an expression, it would clearly show pain at that moment. Soon, a thin strand of Strange energy emanated from the back of the little creature's neck, coursing through its body. The little creature began to tremble, and then the egg started rolling violently in the nest; in fact, it was the little creature struggling in pain inside the eggshell.
