The giant axe loomed overhead, yet Ironclad remained completely still. The onlookers from the Demon Sect, unaware of the true situation, believed he was preparing to use his iron head to confront Chuxiong's Celestial Artifact giant axe, praising their Great Hall Master for his brilliance. However, the five guardians that Ironclad had brought with him sensed that something was amiss.
These five guardians had never left Ironclad's side. When Ironclad ordered them not to intervene, they stood aside, but now they reacted swiftly, summoning the Soul Summoning and Spirit Refining Banner and rushing forward. Five beams of Black Light instantly reached above Ironclad's head.
In a flash, Ironclad narrowly dodged Chuxiong's thunderous strike.

With both hands incapacitated, Ironclad said, "No need to waste time. All of you attack together. Our sect still needs a Demon Servant leader; we must flatten Nine Vermilion Peaks and capture this big guy to refine him into a Demon Servant!"
The swirling Black Banner and ghostly shadows surrounded Chuxiong in the center.
Chuxiong chuckled darkly and shouted, "Come on, you little pups! Today I’m going to enjoy killing you all!"
The Mountain-Cleaving Axe shone with divine light as Chuxiong charged through like he was in an uninhabited realm, wherever his axe swung became a Sea of Blood.
Just as he was reveling in the slaughter, a red light shot up—it was Ling Panzai, disheveled and covered in blood. His Flying Sword kept pushing back the encroaching Demons as he shouted, "Chuxiong! Didn't you hear the command from the sect leader? Master Uncle orders you to cover our brothers' retreat! Hurry up!"
Chuxiong suddenly realized his mistake; caught up in the thrill of battle, he had forgotten their original purpose.
When the Demon Sect invaded Nine Li Sect, Chuxiong had been drinking and discussing philosophy with Chuming and Chuxuan at Summit Green Pavilion. The situation arose suddenly; at that moment, Ling Shizi and his junior brother Ling Panzai were managing affairs in place of Elder Brother Li Hong at Nine Vermilion Peaks. They immediately ordered all disciples to hide at the top of Nine Vermilion Peaks in Green Forest.
Before they could fully gather in Green Forest, waves of Demon Sect Monsters descended upon them, slaughtering those who lagged behind. Chuxiong was ordered to rise up against the enemy primarily to protect the many Disciples of Jiu Zhu Peak hidden within Green Forest.
As Chuxiong fought fiercely, the area of battle expanded. The Demon Sect Monsters discovered a large presence in Green Forest and circumvented around Chuxiong above Summit to attack from below. Ling Panzai and Ling Shizi relied on the Restrictions outside Green Forest to hold their ground desperately; within a short time, over ten disciples had already perished.
Chuxiong darted over to Ling Panzai's side, swinging his axe to drive back the Demons before turning to lead him down outside Green Forest's Restrictions.
Over fifty Demon Sect Monsters at least at Mid-Stage of Transformation were trapped outside Green Forest's Restrictions. Ling Shizi and about ten other spirit-lettered Master Uncles were fighting alongside Chuxuan, Chuming, Chu Gang, and around twenty of the highest-level disciples from Nine Vermilion Peaks against the enemy. Each one was drenched in blood but showed no signs of pain; they fought desperately without retreating.
Green Forest Restrictions flickered with bursts of Azure Light. However, the Restrictions here were not strong at all, far inferior to those of the Chengxian Pavilion Restrictions. As the Demon continued to break through the defenses, a group of low-level disciples from Nine Vermilion Peaks, lacking in cultivation, huddled together in Green Forest, trembling in fear. Occasionally, powerful energies pierced through the layers of Restrictions, and if one was unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place, a disciple would immediately fall to the ground.
Chuxiong glanced over and became furious, shouting, “Everyone get out of the way!”
The giant axe flew from his hand, sweeping towards the group of Demon like a golden dragon skimming the ground. It moved so quickly that it left a long afterimage, startling Ling Panzai and others into retreating hastily, fearing for their own safety.
The giant axe appeared heavy but was surprisingly agile, deftly maneuvering around several corners to avoid hitting its own people.
A series of sounds like cutting tofu echoed as screams erupted. More than half of the Demon, along with their Black Banner, were cleaved in two. The upper halves of the Demon instinctively tried to dodge and flail about even after being severed, with bright red Viscera rolling away and Purple Blood swirling chaotically. The Summit was enveloped in thick blood mist, and the scent of Blood Scent made people want to retch.
The fortunate Demon who managed to evade were terrified, looking at Chuxiong as if he were a plague god, shouting in panic as they turned to leap into the sky.
It would take some time for them to regroup and dive down again. Chuxiong stopped Ling Panzai Master Uncle, who was about to speak, and leaped onto the roof of Green Pavilion, taking a deep breath.
At this critical moment, everyone was unsure what Chuxiong intended to do, but they saw his broad and powerful upper body expand suddenly as he let out a loud roar that shook the universe.
“Where is that Little Fei Black Abyss? Get out here right now or we’re all finished!”
The Demon gathering above was startled by Chuxiong's shout; some lower-ranked ones even fell from the sky like shooting stars, crashing down onto the hard rocks below.
In the sky, Ironclad Cold Noodles showed a mocking expression. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, he abruptly stopped. Behind him, five protectors at mid-stage to late-stage Nascent Soul looked similarly stunned. The six stood frozen in place, staring at each other.
After a moment of daze, the five protectors shouted in unison, “Great Hall Master, retreat quickly!” Without further ado, they grabbed Ironclad and pulled him back forcefully.
In an unknown Gorge in the distance, mountains crumbled and rocks tumbled down with a thunderous roar that drowned out the cries from within the Nine Li Sect. Suddenly, an earth-shattering roar echoed continuously for an entire tea time.
The entire Nine Li Cave Heaven fell silent.
Across from the Chengxian Pavilion, after a moment of silence, Yandao Demon Lord ordered: “Purgatory Ten Kings, cease attacking here and go kill that dragon.”
"Yes." With a wave of the hand from the Purgatory Ten Kings, the army immediately flew towards the Nine Vermilion Peaks.
Then, the Yandao Demon Lord suddenly vanished.

In the twenty-eighth chamber of Chengxian Pavilion, Ling Xuzi and Spirit Stone were watching the situation outside through a bronze mirror. Seeing the massive figure winding like a mountain appear in the sky above Nine Li Sect, they both breathed a sigh of relief.

Elder Yao was dressed in a dark robe, but strangely, his body appeared eerily translucent. Through his form, Spirit Stone could clearly see the array patterns on the Dan Furnace behind him.
Elder Yao's face was also strangely semi-transparent; his eyes bulged out as he stared directly at the mirror, as if glaring at the two of them with an extremely cold gaze. They had never seen him with such an expression before; it sent chills down their spines.
Rather than being human, he resembled a ghostly figure, yet his appearance was unmistakably Elder Yao.

The young man's face was clearly visible in the mirror; he was none other than Chu Hai, a junior disciple of Ling Panzai from Nine Vermilion Peaks, who later entered the Heavenly Pill Hall and had been studying alchemy there.
