A chilling wind howled all around, causing hair to stand on end and sending a bone-deep cold through the air, as if one had suddenly transitioned from late summer to the depths of winter. The bright moon in the sky had vanished, and visibility was reduced to nothing. 0

In the darkness, strange rustling sounds echoed everywhere. Though unseen, the stench of blood and an overpowering decay filled the air, as if countless corpses and spirits were drawn forth, closing in step by step. 0

"Gather around me!" Spirit Stone shouted, summoning the Gale Fire Sword. In the darkness, the massive sword ignited with fierce flames, illuminating a radius of several feet and revealing the pale faces of those around. 0

Chu Hai glanced back in shock and exclaimed, "Oh my! What is that thing!" 0

Shadows swayed out from the village, numbering at least a couple of hundred. Among them were three figures that unmistakably belonged to the family that had already perished. 0

Li Hong's scalp tingled with fear. "How are they alive!" 0

"They're not alive; it's the Demon Sect's sorcery!" Ling Xiangzi sneered, disregarding her own injuries. The White Reed flew out with a whoosh, rapidly expanding into a massive beam of white light that swept toward the crowd of living dead. 0

With a loud crash, severed limbs and pieces of flesh flew high into the air, raining down like a storm of purple-black debris. 0

Li Hong's eyes flashed as he shouted, "Be careful! The dead are toxic!" As he spoke, Lingyi had already taken flight, swirling like a whirlwind to form a large circle. This was the Nine Pearl Peak's defensive technique "Water Dripping Through Stone." A hissing sound erupted as the flying remnants were swept away by Lingyi, creating small craters upon impact with the ground. 0

The corpses carried corrosive poison! 0

Ling Xiangzi was startled and regretted her recklessness. She looked at Li Hong with newfound respect. 0

"Let's go!" Spirit Stone lifted Chu Hai and soared into the sky. Chuxiong summoned Flowing Fire while holding the Mysterious Bell upside down. Chu Xi conjured Flowing Crystal and Tissot Silk to create an impenetrable barrier around them. Li Hong wielded Lingyi while brandishing the Dragon Tail Whip. Everyone activated their treasures and hurriedly ascended into the sky. 0

However, something was amiss. It seemed that the demons were not pursuing them, yet after flying for some time, they found themselves still trapped beneath thick clouds. The strange winds ceased entirely; there was no breeze or sound—only darkness surrounded them, with nothing visible except for the glow of their magical artifacts. 0

A strange sensation enveloped everyone, as if they had entered a sealed jar. 0

"This is bad!" Spirit Stone shouted. "We've fallen into an ambush! This is a Demon formation!" 0

The Spirit Stone hovered in mid-air, beginning to think nervously. Li Hong could clearly see beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. 0

This team was led by the Spirit Stone and Ling Xiangzi, who had the highest cultivation levels, along with about ten elders with varying degrees of injuries, and then there were Li Hong, Chu Xi, and ten other disciples. With the elderly and the young all injured, they were now trapped in the Demon Sect Monster's formation, which could lead to total annihilation. No wonder the Spirit Stone was feeling panicked. 0

Li Hong was the first to calm down. Colorful Light Tentacles extended from his Upper Dantian, reaching out in all directions. 0

Upon probing, he immediately realized that Spirit Stone was right. The Colorful Light Tentacles carried his Awareness, equivalent to Divine Consciousness, allowing him to sense movements within a radius of at least fifty zhang. However, at that moment, the Colorful Light Tentacles felt as if they were stuck in a quagmire; he could see nothing but chaotic darkness. 0

What kind of formation is this? Is it similar to Restrictions? He wasn't very familiar with these matters and pondered for a moment before calling for reinforcements. 0

“Heavenly Torch! If you're not dead, wake up quickly! Otherwise, be ready to die together!” Li Hong thought fiercely. 0

Inside his Upper Dantian, the Fire Separation Pearl suddenly flickered to life. At this critical moment, Heavenly Torch finally decided not to slack off and woke up. 0

An invisible wave of Divine Consciousness reached outwards. After a while, he clicked his tongue and said, “Such a trivial trick has actually stumped you? It seems you can't do without me!” 0

Li Hong was overjoyed; Heavenly Torch indeed had a knack for dealing with such inexplicable things. 0

“It’s not difficult; this formation is similar to Restrictions. As long as we find the formation eye, we can break it! Let me see where the formation eye is…” Heavenly Torch began to stir up energy waves that spread out in circles. 0

“We're in trouble! This is a composite formation laid down by twelve magical treasures; there are twelve formation eyes! We must attack simultaneously; you alone can't do it. Hurry and call for help.” 0

“Alright! You tell me the locations, and I will set it up!” 0

While Spirit Stone was anxiously pondering, he suddenly heard Li Hong's voice: “Master, I've found the formation eye! But you need to take action.” He relayed this information to Ling Xiangzi and the other elders, instructing them: “You must pretend to be trapped and then follow my orders to attack simultaneously!” 0

“Understood!” The group, who were at their wits' end, responded through their thoughts. They immediately listened to Li Hong's instructions to find their respective positions for the counterattack. 0

Once everyone was ready, Li Hong shouted, "Now!" 0

With a thunderous roar, the twelve individuals led by the Spirit Stone unleashed their magical artifacts with all their might. 0

They clearly struck the void, yet everyone felt their bodies tremble as the artifacts indeed hit something tangible. However, the chaotic darkness before them did not dissipate. 0

The Heavenly Torch screeched, "This formation is impressive! Keep going!" 0

Li Hong acted as a communicator and shouted again, "Let's do it a second time! Now!" 0

Another thunderous sound erupted. The combined strike of the twelve elders was formidable. It was as if something had cracked open, and before them, the chaotic Black Veil revealed fissures that visibly expanded. 0

A deafening roar echoed in their ears, as if demons had been released from hell. Suddenly, the formation broke. 0

The cold moon still hung in the sky, and everyone realized they were still standing at the village entrance. However, the village had truly become a wasteland; the earthen walls of the Thatched Cottage had turned to dust. 0

Surrounding them were twelve figures clad in hooded cloaks. 0

The hoods obscured most of their faces, revealing only their pale, ghastly chins. A ghostly light flickered in their shadowy eyes beneath the hoods, giving off an impression of venomous snakes coldly observing their prey. Each held a Strange black flag in hand. 0

The flag was five feet long and wide, fluttering ominously while exuding a pungent Blood Stench. Dark mist swirled rapidly over the flag, and at times, a terrifying human face would suddenly appear on it. The nauseating Blood Stench intensified; upon closer inspection, the flag was not black but rather a deep purple-black as if stained with human blood. 0

The twelve Demon Sect Monsters simultaneously unfurled their flags. Countless dark shadows surged from the flags and lunged fiercely at everyone. 0

A chilling voice echoed above them: "Not bad for the remnants of the Nine Li Sect; you actually broke my Dao Sect's Underworld Formation!" 0

Dao Sect! Indeed, they were Demon Sect Monsters! In addition to the twelve Demon Sect Monsters before them, there were three powerful presences above; there were a total of fifteen enemies. 0

Li Hong was about to use the Summoning Technique when suddenly the Spirit Stone beside him pushed him and transmitted a message: "Don't use that! Fight with swords! They are already injured!" 0

Li Hong focused his gaze and saw that the twelve black-clad figures around him were indeed trembling slightly, their Strange flags shaking incessantly in their hands, with fine cracks already appearing on the banners. It turned out that these twelve Strange black flags were the core of the Underworld Formation. The black flags had been damaged from the previous two strikes, and although the approaching evil spirits looked terrifying, they were actually at their last gasp; they could only howl above everyone’s heads but had yet to entangle them. 0

With a thought, Li Hong took out the Fire Phoenix from his Cosmic Bag and ignited it with his Awareness, pointing it towards the sky. 0

The Fire Phoenix swiftly manifested and roared towards the dark shadows in the sky. 0

This was the true Three Flavors True Fire, precisely the nemesis of these Yin Power-inflicted phantoms. The evil spirits melted away like snowmen in front of fire, sizzling as they rapidly disintegrated. 0

The Demon Sect Monsters were also moved, hurriedly retreating while shaking the ominous black flags repeatedly. Yin Spirits howled from all directions, quickly retreating back into the flags. The fine cracks on each flag were visibly healing at a rapid pace. 0

These Strange flags were actually crafted from Yin Spirits! What a loss! 0

Yin Spirits are the souls of the dead, but not just any dead; they are Evil Spirits whose souls are particularly strong and filled with lingering resentment after death. If captured and refined into toxic magical treasures, these Yin Spirits would only grow stronger but would become consumables, unable to reincarnate. 0

Li Hong understood this and coldly glared at the Demon Sect Monsters, filled with hatred in his heart. He moved his hands continuously, summoning more Nine Li Sect fire talismans that soared into the sky towards the Demon Sect Monsters. 0

Amidst the blazing flames, the Nine Li Sect Disciples had already taken action! Some flew towards the three dark figures overhead; others summoned Spirit Talismans and magical treasures directly charging at the twelve Demon Sect Monsters. 0

The Spirit Stone charged ahead, shouting loudly: "Old Six, quickly take your brothers and leave! We’ll handle this! Qing You will regroup!" 0

"Okay!" Li Hong turned around and shouted: "Hurry up and follow me!" 0

"No—" Chu Xi's eyes brimmed with tears as she looked at Ling Xiangzi. 0

Ling Xiangzi was already entangled in battle with a Demon Sect Monster, but upon seeing White Shadow swirling like a Dragon Spiral in mid-air, it shot eastward with great force. 0

Li Hong did not wait for Chu Xi to refuse again. The Dragon Tail Whip had already wrapped around her waist, lifting her into the sky as he shouted back, "Everyone, keep up!" 0

Chuxiong held the Mysterious Bell in his hand, stepping on Flowing Fire, swirling the massive Mysterious Bell into a roaring shadow as he followed Li Hong into the sky. Chuxuan, Chu Liang, and the others gritted their teeth and took one last look at their Master Uncles who were entangled in battle with the Demon, then steeled themselves to chase after Li Hong. 0

The ten low-level disciples were the first to break free and head far away. 0

Suddenly, they heard the sound of sword energy slicing through the air behind them. Turning around, they saw two injured elders from the Spirit rank. One of them gasped for breath and said, "We can no longer help you; let us escort you. Hurry!" 0

Li Hong nodded and shouted at the still-struggling Chu Xi, "Do you want to become a burden to Ling Xiangzi and the Master Uncles?!" 0

Chu Xi was taken aback, tears rolling down her fair cheeks. But she quickly composed herself and coldly replied, "Let go of me; I will go with you." 0

Standing on Flowing Crystal, Chu Xi took one last look at the distant horizon before closing her eyes and shooting out ahead. 0

Everyone hurried to follow. Li Hong felt a pang in his heart; he was worried about their Master Uncles but knew that staying behind would only make them a burden. 0

The rolling sword light quickly shot far away. A faint blue light struggled to break through the thick clouds on the horizon. Dawn was approaching. 0
