The secret infiltration led by Zhao Kuo successfully entered the center of the Qin Army's Supply Base. According to the original plan, they only needed to conduct a sample check at this location before officially concluding the mission.
After evading the Qin Army's Patrol Team once again, Zhao Kuo raised his hand to signal his subordinates to act immediately. Just as the Sword was drawn, a flash of Cold Light caught the eyes of nearby Qin Army Soldiers under the torchlight.

The Qin Army Officer dismounted from his warhorse and stood at the position where the Soldier had been earlier, looking toward the Grain Storage. All signs indicated that the flash at that location was definitely not from a stationary object. The reason it was not visible now was that whatever could cause the reflection had already left its original position! Realizing this, the Qin Army Officer decided against checking further and intended to order the Soldiers to signal an Enemy Attack.

A low-frequency alert sound emanated from the center of the Qin Army Supply Depot and spread outward. Upon receiving the message, the guard troops rushed out of their barracks and lit windproof lanterns to search everywhere.
The sentries around the Grain Storage also lit their illumination lanterns and equipped Crossbows to prevent anyone from crossing the perimeter. Each watchtower stood several meters high, spaced fifty meters apart. As Fire Lanterns were lit one after another, the entire Daliangshan Basin was brightly illuminated.
In ancient times, when constructing Grain Storage facilities, waterproofing was always considered because large quantities of grain piled together could mold and rot if dampened. This issue was particularly prominent in rainy and humid mountainous environments.

The Zhao Army reconnaissance team, having narrowly escaped danger, found themselves trapped in the Qin Army's Grain Storage. They had ventured too deep into enemy territory to ensure the success of their reconnaissance mission. The supply depot for the army was not just any wealthy household's courtyard; it was vast and seemingly endless.
In their hurried retreat, the Zhao Army Scouting Team barely reached the outskirts of the Grain Storage when they noticed that the surrounding perimeter was ablaze with lights. Guards stationed in the watchtowers were already armed with crossbows, searching for targets.
The Qin Army's Patrol Team soon mobilized their cavalry, which galloped back and forth in search of suspicious activity. The arrival of the Qin Army Cavalry effectively sealed off any escape routes for the Zhao Army Scouting Team.
With nowhere to hide, Zhao Kuo brushed past a unit of Qin Army cavalry, leading his team to take cover beneath the base of the Grain Storage, peering out cautiously. As the sounds of shouting and neighing grew louder, the situation outside became increasingly dire. It was only a matter of time before someone would think to check beneath the Grain Storage for hiding individuals.
Seeing the current crisis, the leader of the Scouting Team felt a pang of desperation. Their misfortune was one thing; they could at least fight tooth and nail against the Qin Army if it came to that. Transmitting information was not a concern either, as there was still a team stationed on a nearby mountain peak. However, the pressing issue was that there was still a Commander among them! If they lost track of this individual amidst hundreds of thousands of Zhao Army troops, how could they continue to fight?
The Scouting Team leader glanced around to confirm that there were no immediate threats before quietly suggesting, "Grand Commander! It is my subordinates' incompetence!
