The chaotic scene in the courtyard was becoming increasingly difficult to control. When Li Xin saw Li Mu surrounded by Soldiers again, he suddenly shouted, "Stop! Close the doors!"
The crowd, already in disarray, felt as if they were drowning and desperately searching for a lifeline when they heard someone issue an order. Seeing both generals agree, Li Xin felt relieved. He looked around before quietly saying, "Everyone knows that General Zhao had substantial connections. Even if this person has no backing, Li Mu won't survive! The current situation is such that from the generals present down to the Soldiers here, it seems no one will escape..."
Upon hearing this without getting to the point, Huang Fei waved his hand. "General Li, please speak plainly; my brothers just want to know how we should handle this matter!"
Li Xin nodded and offered a suggestion quietly. "According to news from outside, the Qin Army has launched their summer offensive. With General Zhao dead like this, it seems too pathetic. If he were to die in battle..." He paused deliberately to gauge their reactions. "If we handle it this way, wouldn't there be no problems at all?"

A Messenger stood at the entrance, holding a letter from General Lian. Clearly not intending to seek anyone else, he spotted Sima Shang, whose face looked somewhat pale, in the crowd. He quickly saluted and said, "Sima General! This is a letter for you from the Commander!"
Just as Sima Shang thought about it, he exchanged a glance with Li Xin and then took the letter with both hands. Seeing that the Messenger was about to turn and leave, he hurriedly asked, "Brother, wait a moment! Shouldn't you deliver a message back from Old General?"
Upon hearing the call, the Messenger promptly halted his hurried steps. He lowered his head and thought seriously for a moment before replying, "The Commander said there is no need for a reply. The contents are all in the letter; the General will understand upon reading it!" After confirming there was nothing else to convey, he quickly bowed and mounted his warhorse, galloping away.
The four of them had just been worried about not having battle orders to mobilize the troops against the enemy. Fortune smiled upon them; here it was! They promptly ordered the gates to be closed again. In a rush, they returned to the hall and unfolded the letter to read its contents.
