Above Beishan, the disciples emerging from the Colorful Sacred Realm quickly dispersed.
Lowering his head and scanning the Beishan below with a hint of nostalgia, Fang Chen moved slightly, preparing to leave. However, at that moment, a sudden rush of wind caught his attention, causing him to raise an eyebrow.
"Brother Fang Chen, please wait!"
The call echoed from a distance, causing Fang Chen's departing steps to pause slightly. He looked up to see three young men in blue-green robes hurrying towards him.
Not recognizing any of the three, and having never seen them before, a hint of confusion appeared on Fang Chen's face. What puzzled him even more was the fervor he sensed emanating from them, which was directed squarely at him!
"Strange," Fang Chen shook his head, feeling quite perplexed.
Soon, as a gentle breeze swept by, the three figures in blue-green robes stood before Fang Chen.
Their robes were identical, each adorned with a blue lotus flower on the left chest, above which was a star.
"Which faction within the Sect do these people belong to?" Fang Chen frowned slightly as he observed the peculiar insignia and muttered to himself.
The higher-ups of Ziyang Sect did not oppose disciples forming cliques among themselves; thus, there were many factions among both Outer Sect Disciples and Inner Sect Disciples. These groups varied in size from three or four members, who were inconspicuous, to hundreds or even thousands of members with significant power.
Even though he had only recently joined the Sect, Fang Chen had heard of many powerful factions and was generally aware of their unique insignias. However, no matter how he searched through his memories, he could not identify the insignia featuring a blue lotus adorned with a star.
"Could it be just an inconspicuous small faction?" Fang Chen could only speculate. But what did that have to do with him?
While Fang Chen was still puzzled, the leader among the three young men clasped his fists in greeting and respectfully said, "Brother Fang Chen, please accompany us to Qingchen Sect."
"Qingchen Sect?" His confusion deepened. What was that? Moreover, they wanted him to go to such a place without even knowing him?
Noticing Fang Chen's gradually cooling demeanor, the three exchanged glances and seemed to realize something. They smiled wryly before the young man who had spoken earlier continued, "Brother Fang Chen, please don't take offense; we were reckless. Allow me to explain..."
As he spoke, he began to explain to Fang Chen. This explanation left Fang Chen feeling somewhat amused and exasperated. It turned out that this so-called Qingchen Sect was partly his own.
The story began about a month ago, right after Fang Chen was unusually promoted to True Disciple by Ziyang Ancestor. Although Fang Chen's status as a True Disciple was quite dramatic and lacked substantial backing, many viewed him as an unknown individual who had simply gotten lucky, hardly deserving of any respect. Nevertheless, Fang Chen was indeed a genuine True Disciple, with a status far surpassing that of an Inner Sect Disciple.
Following this promotion, a group of individuals emerged among the Outer Sect Disciples of Ziyang Sect, claiming to be associated with Fang Chen. These individuals often had low cultivation levels but were extremely arrogant, as if they were afraid others wouldn’t know they had someone powerful backing them.
Gradually, this group began to use Fang Chen's name while brazenly robbing others of their treasures and pills among the Outer Sect Disciples. Many were reluctant to voice their anger even when robbed because of the True Disciple title; after all, those who looked down on Fang Chen or dismissed him were mostly Inner Sect Disciples. In the eyes of the Outer Sect Disciples, the title True Disciple still held significant weight.
Under normal circumstances, while Fang Chen was away in the Colorful Sacred Realm, this group could act recklessly among the Outer Sect Disciples without facing serious consequences. Although their strength was lacking, they could still discern who was safe to rob and who was not.
However, as the saying goes, those who walk by the river often get their shoes wet. Unfortunately for them, they targeted Lian Yiyue during one of their robberies. At that moment, these individuals truly hit a brick wall. Not only were they captured by Lian Yiyue and her companions on the spot, but under interrogation, they confessed everything.
This confession left Lian Yiyue and her companions somewhat amused and exasperated. It seemed that as soon as Fang Chen left, he became a pretext for others to act arrogantly and even bullied those who already knew him.
However, after their initial amusement wore off, inspired by these individuals' actions, Lian Yiyue suddenly had an idea: with Fang Chen's current status as a True Disciple, she could gather people and establish her own force!
Originally approaching this with a playful mindset, Lian Yiyue was surprised when her idea received much support from others. Even Sister Qinglian, a standout among the Inner Sect Disciples who had never participated in any faction before, smiled and joined in after hearing her proposal.
With the title of True Disciple and Sister Qinglian's influence backing them up, the force named Qing Chen quickly spread among the Outer Sect Disciples. Gradually, many began to join.
Through selection and recruitment, what initially started as a group of four or five people in Qingchen Sect rapidly expanded. The number grew from just a handful to over fifty members now. Thanks to Qinglian's genuine status as an Inner Sect Disciple, Qingchen Sect became an extremely powerful force among the Outer Sect Disciples; even some Inner Sect Disciples would show deference when encountering them.
"I saw the Mutation above Beishan and knew that Senior Brother Fang Chen had returned; hence Sister Lian sent us to welcome you," said one disciple from Qingchen Sect.
"Sister Lian," Fang Chen said with a smile and shook his head. Lian Yiyue had only recently joined the sect; her current cultivation level was likely still at the Qi Boundary stage. Yet here were three Outer Sect Disciples at the Alchemy Realm referring to her as sister without any hesitation or awkwardness at all; it truly intrigued Fang Chen.
"Since that's the case, let's go," Fang Chen nodded and said.
"Senior Brother Fang Chen, please." The three clasped their hands and then transformed into a long rainbow, taking Fang Chen towards the Qingchen Sect.
At Beishan, where the Qingchen Sect is located.
"Eh, why hasn't he arrived yet?" A girl dressed in a white dress, with an exquisite face and skin like cream, stood quietly at the entrance of the Qingchen Sect, gazing into the distance.
"Lunar, since Fang Chen has returned from the Colorful Sacred Realm, it is likely that Lu Feng and the others are already bringing him here. You need not worry," a voice came from behind Lian Yiyue. A young man dressed in moon-white robes, with a handsome face, stepped forward.
"Lu Chong, why are you here?" Lian Yiyue turned around to look at the young man named Lu Chong and said lightly. A hint of coldness flashed across her expression, emanating a sense of distance.
"Moreover, you should refer to Fang Chen as Senior Brother Fang Chen; he is a True Disciple, not someone like you, an Outer Sect Disciple, who can call him by his name directly," Lian Yiyue said with slight anger, her tone growing colder.
"Alright, alright, Senior Brother Fang Chen," Lu Chong's eyes flashed with a hint of chilliness but soon he wore a smile again. He quickly walked to Lian Yiyue's side and said, "Lunar, you see the two of us..."
"You can forget about that!" Before Lu Chong could finish his sentence, he was directly interrupted by Lian Yiyue.
Hearing Lian Yiyue's reprimand, the smile on Lu Chong's face quickly vanished. The gloom that had been hidden began to surface. He squinted his eyes slightly, revealing a chilling glint. His gaze fell on Lian Yiyue, making her feel as if she were being stared at by a venomous snake, causing her hair to stand on end.
"I will make you change your mind," Lu Chong said coldly. As he spoke, he cast a fierce glance at Lian Yiyue's beautiful figure, his eyes filled with intense desire. He then transformed into a long rainbow and was about to leave.
However, at that moment.
Above Lu Chong's head, the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy suddenly surged violently. An invisible large hand instantly formed and then heavily slapped down towards him.
Bang!
A tragedy occurred; Lu Chong, who had originally soared into the sky, was struck by this invisible hand formed from the gathering of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy. He plummeted towards the ground at an even greater speed than before, like a fly swatted by a hand.
Boom!
The ground shook violently for a moment, and at the same time, a dull sound echoed. Amidst the rising dust, Lu Chong's body was forcefully embedded into the ground.
Watching this sudden scene, Lian Yiyue blinked her eyes. The anger she had felt earlier due to Lu Chong's words dissipated in an instant, replaced by a smile on her stunning face. Yet, within that smile, there was also a hint of confusion.
Who was the one who made the move?
Although she found Lu Chong extremely unpleasant, even repulsive, Lian Yiyue knew very well that this person's cultivation level was quite formidable within the Alchemy Realm. The reason he hadn't participated in the Colorful Sacred Realm expedition was simply that he had been out training at that time and had only just returned recently.
A guy at the Peak of the Transformation Realm was now slapped into the ground by someone. How powerful could that attacker be?
Which Inner Sect Disciple made the move?
In Lian Yiyue's view, only an Inner Sect Disciple at the Primordial Embryo Realm could have flipped Lu Chong so easily. However, within the entire Qingchen Sect, aside from Sister Qinglian, there were no other Inner Sect Disciples available, and currently, Sister Qinglian was in closed-door training.
Who could that attacker be?
Lian Yiyue raised her head and looked around at the air above her, her expression of confusion deepening. Just then, a familiar figure appeared in her line of sight, causing her to tremble suddenly.
