Four people cautiously stepped into the entrance of the "Snow Plum Ice Cream Factory". As they entered, a unique atmosphere greeted them. The interior of the factory was spacious and open, yet it seemed to be filled with the memories of history.
The towering roof supported the entire building, and sunlight streamed in through some undamaged windows, illuminating most of the interior. The floor was tiled, showing some signs of age in places, but overall maintaining a certain level of cleanliness. Surrounding them were various ice cream machines of different shapes and sizes, quietly waiting for their next operation, but at this moment, they seemed to be silent witnesses.
One side of the factory is filled with various raw materials for ice cream, such as large bags of chocolate powder, strawberry sauce, and crushed nuts, neatly arranged. On the other side of the wall, there hangs a yellowed photo of the past employees of the factory, all smiling as if reminiscing about the busy times in this place.
The four individuals carefully inspect the "Snow Plum Ice Cream Factory" and gradually focus their attention on a large freezer. The door of the freezer is secured with a heavy lock, but it doesn't seem to be completely sealed, as a gentle breeze of cold air, carrying a faint floral scent, seeps out through the small gap.
Why is the freezer still running in an ice cream factory that has long been closed? Huang Renjie stepped forward, as if drawn by a mysterious force, and gently turned the lock. The door creaked open slowly. When the freezer door was fully revealed, the four of them were stunned by the sight inside.
As they entered the freezer, a bone-chilling cold swept over them, making them shiver. The interior of the freezer was spacious and clean, with neatly arranged shelves on the walls filled with various frozen foods and ingredients. A huge cooling system emitted a buzzing sound, ensuring that the temperature inside the freezer remained extremely low. The cold light illuminated the entire space, casting shadows that made everything look even more eerie.
Four people began to carefully inspect the situation inside the freezer. They surveyed every corner, searching for any possible clues. The frozen food on the shelves indicated that the place seemed to still be in use, but they still felt eerie as they hadn't seen any staff or signs of activity.
Kevin checked a row of shelves and found a distinctive red freezer with a note attached. He took the note down, and it read:
"Storage schedule: updated regularly every week. Do not touch."
Shin then walked to the corner of the freezer and found a small control panel. He bent down to inspect it and discovered that it was used to adjust the temperature and humidity of the freezer, and it seemed to be frequently operated.
Huang Renjie and Auntie Hong then checked the corners of the warehouse together, hoping to find more clues. They saw a row of frozen meat and seafood, all neatly arranged and looking very fresh. This raised their suspicions because the factory itself did not have any related business, so it should not have these items.
During the inspection of the freezer, the four of them noticed that in addition to various ingredients and food, the freezer was also filled with various flavors of ice cream, popsicles, and frozen snacks. These frozen treats were neatly arranged on the freezer shelves, resembling a huge frozen ice cream shop.
The packaging of ice cream and popsicles is adorned with various symbols and labels, displaying their flavors and brands. There are classic flavors such as strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and matcha, as well as some unique creative flavors like mango chili and mint chocolate.
However, the most striking aspect is the condition of these frozen treats. They still appear to be in perfect frozen state, showing no signs of melting whatsoever. This further bewilders the four individuals, as the factory clearly has been out of operation for some time, yet these frozen treats remain fully stocked in the freezer, as if time has stood still in this place.
Four people stood in the freezer, beginning to discuss the purpose of these ice cream and food. Huang Renjie frowned and said, "These foods are obviously meant for King Cobra. But why store so much in this place?"
Shin nodded and added, "Yes, it looks like a supply base. These ice cream and frozen foods may be his food inventory, and the freezer's cooling system keeps them fresh."
Kevin also agreed, "Perhaps King Cobra really likes these ice creams, that's why there are so many."
However, as the discussion among the four became more serious, Auntie Hong began to break the tension. She walked to a corner of the freezer, picked up an ice cream, and took a bite without hesitation. Her expression instantly turned joyful, and she said, "Wow, it's been so long since I had Snow Plum Company's ice cream, and it's still so delicious!" The others widened their eyes, but Auntie Hong seemed completely unconcerned with the mystery before her, focusing only on the delicious ice cream in her hand. This scene made them feel both amused and helpless, as Auntie Hong's straightforwardness and appetite seemed impervious to any mysterious events.
However, everyone watched Auntie Hong enjoy her ice cream with relish, and couldn't help but be infected by her attitude. They all walked to the refrigerator and picked their favorite flavors. Kevin chose strawberry flavor, while Shin took a chocolate popsicle. Even in this unfamiliar environment, enjoying a delicious treat seemed to slightly ease their nervousness.
When Huang Renjie reached for the ice cream, he suddenly felt that something was off about the wall behind the refrigerator. He stopped and carefully inspected the wall, noticing that while the rest of the wall had intact ice attached to it, only a small section showed different marks.
Huang Renjie gently tapped this area and found that its sound was different from other places. This discovery excited him, and he suddenly realized that this might be a hidden mechanism. He gently pressed on this area and heard a faint mechanical sound. Then, a piece of ice in front of the wall slowly slid open, revealing a dark passage.
Huang Renjie signaled the others to stay in place, and he walked lightly into the dark passage, sticking his head out to observe carefully. The passage was dark, with only faint light seeping in through the crack at the end of the passage, revealing a mysterious scene. Huang Renjie cautiously moved forward, ready to explore this new area, leading everyone to uncover more mysteries together.
