Mo Ming arrived at the headquarters of the Little Green Society, where Huang Zifeng had just returned from outside. Not knowing what he had been up to, Mo Ming wasn't curious and immediately pulled Huang Zifeng aside for a private conversation.
"There’s no one here, so if you have something important to say, just go ahead!"
The two left the headquarters of the Little Green Society and found a quieter café, choosing a corner that was away from others. Seeing Mo Ming's mysterious demeanor, Huang Zifeng glanced around and lowered his voice.
"I really do have something important to discuss with you, but I suspect there might be a mole in the Dragon Group. Therefore, what I'm about to tell you should not be shared with anyone!" Mo Ming said in a low voice.
"What is it?"
"I've found out about Su Luan's whereabouts."
"What? Where is he?" Huang Zifeng asked in surprise.
"In the underworld."
"Are you kidding me?" Huang Zifeng rolled his eyes and said, "You say he's in the underworld; where's his body?"
"I’m not sure where his body is, but Su Luan should be dead," Mo Ming replied. "I think you know that Su Xiuwen is Su Luan's sister. Recently, I got news that she and one of my brothers were being chased by members of the Dark Order. I went to SH City, and from them, I learned about Su Luan's death."
"No wonder I was wondering where you guys went those days; turns out you went to SH City without telling me. Why didn’t you inform me? The Dragon Group has quite a few people in SH City; I could have sent someone to protect them," Huang Zifeng frowned.
"I already told you that there might be a mole in the Dragon Group. To avoid any accidents, I chose not to tell you!" Mo Ming said. "It's not that I don't trust you; please don’t think too much about it."
"A mole in the Dragon Group? Does that mean the last attack on the base was due to information being leaked by a mole?" Huang Zifeng realized the seriousness of the issue and frowned even more. "If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have thought in that direction. Now that I think about it, I really need to clean up our internal affairs."
The location of the Dragon Group Base is considered confidential, and the fact that the enemy was able to find it suggests that someone within the Dragon Group has leaked information. If there really is a mole in the Dragon Group, it could lead to disaster at any moment.
Huang Zifeng should seriously consider how to identify the infiltrator within the Dragon Group!
“Let’s put aside the issue of the mole for now and talk about Su Luan,” Mo Ming said with a slight smile, pulling a USB drive from his pocket and placing it on the table. “The contents of this USB drive are what Su Luan risked his life to obtain from Tai Zi Dang.”
Huang Zifeng had thought that Su Luan was dead, which meant that whatever he had found was lost as well. However, he did not expect that the important information Su Luan had gathered was now in Mo Ming's hands, which eased his mind a bit.
“Have you looked at the contents of the USB drive?” Huang Zifeng asked. “I assume what Su Luan risked his life for must be very important; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been pursued by the Dark Order. What evidence does it contain against Tai Zi Dang?”
“I’ve already reviewed the contents. There are photos of Long Batian from Tai Zi Dang shaking hands and chatting with members of the Dark Order, and I also know who sold out our operation,” Mo Ming said, his voice turning slightly cold as he thought of Luo Qianshan.
“Who?”
“Luo Qianshan.”
“It’s really him!” Huang Zifeng had already heard Mo Ming's analysis and had some preliminary suspicions about Luo Qianshan. However, when it was confirmed that Luo Qianshan was indeed the one who betrayed their operation, his face still showed shock.
“Yes, Luo Qianshan is the one who sold us out, just as I suspected!” Mo Ming nodded and said. “In China, Luo Qianshan is quite a powerful figure, making him difficult to deal with. I came to you to discuss how we can handle him.”
“Luo Qianshan is indeed hard to deal with. I think we should inform Old Man Mo about this matter; after all, he has more influence in China than I do and knows many powerful figures here. He should have some ways to deal with Luo Qianshan,” Huang Zifeng suggested with a furrowed brow.
“That’s true; the old man does have some skills. How could I forget about him?” Mo Ming realized he hadn’t thought of asking Mo Zhentian for help before, and now that he remembered, he couldn’t help but chuckle bitterly.
"There's no time to waste, let's quickly inform Old Master Mo," Huang Zifeng said.
Mo Ming immediately sent a text message to Mo Zhentian.
Two hours later, Huang Zifeng and Mo Ming boarded a plane to NJ City.
Upon learning the truth, Mo Zhentian was furious. If it weren't for the overall situation, he would have gone alone to confront Luo Qianshan. After their failed operation, Luo Qianshan had been intent on eliminating Mo Ming.
How could a person who betrayed the mission want to put his own son in danger? This infuriated Mo Zhentian as a father.
Mo Zhentian took Sikong Zhenghao with him to the airport to pick them up. Originally, Murong Lian, Jun Qianqian, and Lin Yuan'er also wanted to come. After all, it had been over two months since they last saw Mo Ming; how could they not miss him?
Every time they spoke on the phone, they expressed their desire to leave NJ City and return to Mo Ming's side. However, given the current tense situation filled with crises, even Mo Ming couldn't guarantee that things wouldn't go wrong. For their safety, he preferred that they stay in the military district.
This time, to prevent any unexpected incidents, Mo Zhentian firmly opposed the three women coming to pick them up. Even though NJ City was his territory, he couldn't afford to be careless. With Luo Qianshan involved, Mo Zhentian had to be wary of others in the organization who might collude for personal gain.
Once they arrived in NJ City, Mo Ming and Huang Zifeng found Mo Zhentian.
"Ming Shao, Director Huang," Sikong Zhenghao greeted politely.
"Old man, why did you come personally to pick us up? Are you so bored lately that you have nothing else to do?" Upon seeing Mo Zhentian at the airport, Mo Ming was clearly surprised and joked.
"Hmph! If it weren't for the seriousness of this matter, I wouldn't bother coming!" Mo Zhentian snorted and said, "Alright, this isn't a place for conversation. Let's get in the car and head back to the military district."
Several people got into the car.
"Old man, what are you planning to do about what I told you over the phone?" Mo Ming asked.
He had already informed Mo Zhentian about the USB drive, but Mo Zhentian did not directly respond on how to deal with Luo Qianshan. Instead, he suggested that Mo Ming come to NJ City first to discuss the matter before making any plans.
"Are you sure the evidence on the USB drive can leave Luo Qianshan speechless?" Mo Zhentian asked.
"The photos can be edited, but the videos can't be fake, right? If these things can't prove that Luo Qianshan is the one who betrayed us, then I'll have to handle this matter my way," Mo Ming said, rolling his eyes.
Even if Luo Qianshan could escape punishment in front of the evidence, Mo Ming would not tolerate him continuing to live. The grudge against a comrade and years of unresolved feelings made him feel it was time to settle this.
"Don't act recklessly. You should know Luo Qianshan's status in Huaxia. Even if the Leader wants to move against him, he has to consider the impact on Huaxia!" Mo Zhentian understood the implication of Mo Ming's words and said with some concern.
Huang Zifeng, who was nearby, nodded in agreement and said, "I think Old Master Mo is right. Not to mention the significant impact on Huaxia, just based on Luo Qianshan's exceptional skills, even your master, Death God, wouldn't be a match for him. Moreover, Luo Qianshan has always stayed in his territory; who knows if it's a den of dragons and tigers? I think we should think this through carefully."
"Hmph. Even if it's a den of dragons and tigers, I still have to venture in. That old fox Luo Qianshan's life is something I must secure!" Mo Ming said impulsively.
If it were any other matter, Mo Ming would quickly consider these critical factors. However, regarding Luo Qianshan and his deceased comrades, the once wise Mo Ming had lost much of his rationality.
Now, all that filled Mo Ming's mind was how to eliminate Luo Qianshan and use his blood to honor those restless comrades and pay tribute to his beloved Qingmeng!
"Enough with your nonsense! Stop acting on impulse! I have a plan for this matter; just wait. I'll review the information you mentioned when I get back and then decide whether to inform the Leader," Mo Zhentian said with a furrowed brow and a scolding tone.
"I agree. You know Leader well. Regardless of whether the information is convincing, once he sees it, he will likely believe that Luo Qianshan is the one who betrayed us. After all, not many people knew about the operation back then, and Luo Qianshan was one of them. Now that there is video evidence of him, Leader will definitely focus his attention on Luo Qianshan. As soon as Leader speaks up, Luo Qianshan will surely be unable to escape punishment!" Huang Zifeng said to Mo Ming.
After hearing Huang Zifeng, Mo Ming calmed down considerably. Upon reflecting on his earlier words, he realized they were indeed said in anger, displaying a bit of childish temper.
What Mo Zhentian and Huang Zifeng said was absolutely correct. Setting aside how cunning and formidable Luo Qianshan is, just considering his extensive web of connections and his power in Huaxia, it would be unwise to recklessly rush into his stronghold to assassinate him.
If he were to lose his life, what would happen to the brothers of "Yihun"? What about Murong Lian, Jun Qianqian, and Lin Yuan'er? Who would avenge their fallen comrades?
...
"Alright, let's do it your way. If Leader believes this and plans to take action against Luo Qianshan, I must be involved. I want to personally eliminate Luo Qianshan!" After understanding the stakes, Mo Ming nodded and added with a glint of killing intent in his eyes, "If Leader cannot act against Luo Qianshan due to concerns about Huaxia's influence, then I will resolve it my way."
The last statement was no longer just a spur-of-the-moment decision from Mo Ming. His approach was not reckless; it involved a well-thought-out plan rather than blindly seeking revenge on Luo Qianshan.
This time, neither Mo Zhentian nor Huang Zifeng tried to persuade him further. They could sense the anger and killing intent emanating from Mo Ming. Gentle persuasion would be futile.
No one understands a child better than their father. Regarding Mo Ming's temperament, no one knows him better than Mo Zhentian. If the first mention of resolving things his way was impulsive, then by the second mention, Mo Zhentian understood that Mo Ming was not being reckless without reason.
