Staying in the car, Mo Ming finally had the time to ask Shang Xige what had happened, why he was being hunted by the Dark Order, and where the USB drive in his hand came from.
Shang Xige briefly explained the situation to Mo Ming. When he mentioned that the USB drive came from Su Luan, Mo Ming could no longer remain calm.
"What? Su Luan gave you the USB drive? Where is he now?" Su Luan was someone Huang Zifeng had asked him to find; he held important secrets of the Dark Order, and Mo Ming could not stay composed any longer, immediately questioning him.
"Uh, Su Luan is Wenwen's brother," Shang Xige said, taken aback by Mo Ming's agitation.
Mo Ming's emotions quickly settled down as he rolled his eyes and said, "I know that. Where is he now?"
"My brother... my brother is dead." Su Xiuwen's voice sank with a hint of tears as she spoke upon hearing Su Luan's name.
Seeing Su Xiuwen's expression, Shang Xige quickly hugged her gently and pressed her head against his chest. He looked at Mo Ming and said, "I didn't know about this either. Su Luan has been in a coma for quite some time. Before he fell unconscious, he found Wenwen and gave her the USB drive."
"What did he say?" Mo Ming asked with a furrowed brow.
"My brother said this USB drive is very important and must not be handed over casually," Su Xiuwen lifted her head from Shang Xige's embrace and looked at Mo Ming. "Xige said the USB drive is safest with you. I want to know who you really are."
Su Xiuwen had no idea about Mo Ming's true identity. Even though she was in a relationship with Shang Xige, for her safety, Shang Xige had done his best to conceal his true identity to prevent her from being harmed.
"I can't explain everything to you right now. Just know that I am on the same side as your brother, and you have another brother named Su Yu," Mo Ming said with a smile.
Upon hearing the name Su Yu, Su Xiuwen was taken aback and widened her eyes. "What? You know my Second Brother? Who exactly are you?"
Su Xiuwen didn't know much about her Second Brother, but she understood that he was a soldier. In earlier years, Su Yu would come back to visit her, but later on, aside from sending money every year, she never saw him again.
Eventually, Su Xiuwen received an honor certificate for Su Yu's sacrifice. She had always been curious about what he had done and tried to investigate through her connections but found no results. Now that Mo Ming mentioned Su Yu, it surprised her.
"Your Second Brother was a soldier who sacrificed himself for the country; I am his comrade," Mo Ming recalled Su Yu, feeling a pang of sorrow as memories of other fallen comrades surfaced in his mind, including Qingmeng.
The scenes of personal sacrifice entangled Mo Ming's mind, leaving him in a daze. In truth, Mo Ming wanted to shed a few tears, but it was likely harder for him to cry than to bleed; a man does not easily shed tears, and when he does, they flow inward.
"So you are Second Brother's comrade. Can you tell me how he sacrificed himself?" Su Xiuwen asked, her eyes fixed intently on Mo Ming's. "I just want to know the specific reason for his sacrifice; I don't want his death to be shrouded in mystery."
"You are mistaken; he did not die in vain. He died honorably, and his comrades will remember him, the country will remember him; he is a great hero." Mo Ming snapped back to reality and said, "The one who killed him is also the one pursuing your brother—a very terrifying organization. I can only tell you this much; these matters are not something a woman like you should get involved in. The less you know, the better it is for you."
"They again! Who are these people? They caused the death of my Second Brother and my brother; they were my only family! Why do they keep taking my loved ones away from me?" Su Xiuwen's emotions became unstable as she spoke passionately.
"Wenwen, don't worry; you still have me. I am also your family. As long as I am here, you will not suffer any harm, and you will not be alone." Shang Xige hugged Su Xiuwen again and gently patted her head. "Wenwen, rest assured that those bastards will pay for what they've done. We will not let them off."
"That day won't be far off." Mo Ming gripped the USB drive in his hand, a glint of killing intent flashing in his eyes.
After taking a truck to another city and purchasing tickets back to Nanhua City, Mo Ming and the others boarded the plane. After flying for more than four hours, they successfully arrived at Nanhua City.
Upon returning to Nanhua City, Mo Ming took Shang Xige and Su Xiuwen to the headquarters of the Little Green Society. After all, the headquarters was the safest place in Nanhua City. He Yunsong had fortified it like an impenetrable fortress; without the army's arrival, it would definitely be impossible to breach.
He Yunsong did not believe that the Dark Order would dare use heavy firearms within the city. Moreover, given the current level of inspections in Nanhua City, it was not easy to acquire firearms.
After settling Shang Xige and Su Xiuwen, Mo Ming encountered Huang Zifeng. However, he did not disclose anything to Huang Zifeng but instead drove off to find Demon Eye. With Mo Ming's intelligence, he knew that the USB drive was likely password-protected; if he were careless, he might destroy the files inside.
It wasn't that Mo Ming lacked confidence in his skills; it was simply that there was no suitable equipment here. However, Demon Eye had a set of appropriate equipment available. At the same time, Mo Ming wanted to see what Demon Eye had been up to!
Upon arriving at Demon Eye's residence, the hidden sentries around did not pay much attention when they saw it was Mo Ming; he easily entered Demon Eye's room. Just as before, as soon as he stepped into the room, Demon Eye's voice rang out.
"Oh dear Shura, you've finally returned."
Mo Ming walked toward Demon Eye, handing him the USB drive. "Help me with something: crack the USB password and make a few copies of the data inside for me. Cracking passwords should be a piece of cake for you, right?"
"Of course, if cracking the password were that easy and I couldn't do it, then would I still be Demon Eye?" Demon Eye smiled confidently, plugged the USB drive into the computer, and his fingers danced lightly across the keyboard.
Seeing Demon Eye working on cracking the USB password, Mo Ming finally felt how fortunate it was to have a capable helper. He planned to leave all such tedious tasks to Demon Eye, this computer genius, in the future.
While Demon Eye was busy with the USB drive, Mo Ming poured himself a glass of red wine. As his eyes wandered around the room, he suddenly spat out the wine in surprise; there were no less than six inflatable dolls in the room!
"Look at me! Is this easy? Ever since I agreed to help you, my head has been on the chopping block. To avoid being killed by women, I've been relying on these things to get by in Island Nation. My salary definitely needs to be increased!" Hearing Mo Ming's commotion, Demon Eye turned around and immediately understood the reason, lamenting with a look of grievance.
Six inflatable dolls!
It was clear he was struggling to hold it together!
"The salary issue is not a problem. As long as you help me out properly, I guarantee your life will be comfortable in the future," Mo Ming chuckled, wiping the wine from the corner of his mouth. He asked, "So, how's it going? Have you cracked the USB password?"
"I'm almost there. The person who set this password has some skills. If it were someone else’s password, I could have cracked it in under a minute," Demon Eye said as his hands flew over the keyboard.
"By the way, have you made any progress during this time? I don't like keeping idle people around. If I'm spending so much every month without any return, then I can only say sorry," Mo Ming said as he walked over to Demon Eye and looked at the screen.
"Damn it, that makes me uncomfortable. What do you mean by not keeping idle people? Am I idle? I may not be good at fighting, but when it comes to computers, you all have to call me an ancestor!" Demon Eye cursed and hit the Enter key, saying, "Done!"
Upon hearing that the USB password had been cracked, Mo Ming dropped the previous topic. He pushed Demon Eye aside and sat down in the chair himself, moving the mouse to open a folder named "Redemption" on the USB drive.
Inside were a bunch of images; Mo Ming clicked on one of them.
The photo showed two people shaking hands; one of them was familiar to Mo Ming, that was Long Batian, the leader of Tai Zi Dang. The other person was a Caucasian whose identity was unclear to Mo Ming. He didn't understand what kind of cooperation existed between them.
"This person seems familiar..." Demon Eye glanced at it and seemed to recall something. Rubbing his head, he suddenly exclaimed, "That's right! This person is from 'Dark Order, nicknamed Fire Fox!”
“Fire Fox? How do you know him?” Mo Ming asked.
“Get out of my way!” Demon Eye pulled Mo Ming up. Of course, Mo Ming complied and got up; otherwise, with Demon Eye's strength, it would have been impossible to lift him. After pulling Mo Ming up, Demon Eye sat down and quickly opened a document.
“This is my recent success. In fact, I have successfully cracked a lot of data from the ‘Dark Order’ organization, including information on some of its members. Fire Fox's information is among them!” Demon Eye said as he opened one of the documents, pointing to a photo on the document.
When Mo Ming looked at it, the person in the photo was undoubtedly the white man from the USB drive!
“Not bad! I suddenly realize that the money spent on you was worth it!” Mo Ming praised, quickly glancing at Fire Fox's information. After reading it, Mo Ming closed the document and said to Demon Eye: “According to the data, Fire Fox is the head of the ‘Dark Order’ organization in Russia, mainly responsible for supplying Arms!”
“Yeah, this person's status must be quite high. Among the member data I obtained, Fire Fox is definitely a big fish. I'm still digging through other channels for more member information. Just give me a little more time, and I can uncover it,” Demon Eye said proudly.
“Good, good. Keep going. As long as I resolve this issue, you can spend your money with peace of mind and won't have to stay in your room with six inflatable dolls all day!” Mo Ming nodded in satisfaction and immediately began copying the data from the USB drive.
During the copying process, Mo Ming continued to look at the data on the USB drive. The photos were all about Long Batian meeting with Fire Fox. There was a short video on the USB drive; after opening it, the image was blurry at first but then began to clear up.
The video showed several people in a secret room. Long Batian was sitting in one of the chairs, seemingly waiting for someone. Soon, the door to the room opened, and a person walked in.
