"Ah? Leave here? But Xige is injured, how can we go?" Su Xiuwen said with a worried expression, concerned that Shang Xige's body couldn't handle it.
"Wenwen, I'm fine, we can leave," Shang Xige smiled at her.
"What's with the bravado?" Mo Ming said coldly, turning to the crocodile and instructing, "Crocodile, carry this kid. We need to leave immediately without any delays! We must get out of here before the people from the 'Dark Order' arrive!"
"Got it!" The crocodile, being large enough, readily agreed.
"Uh, isn't that a bit much? I'm really heavy..."
The crocodile rolled its eyes and ignored Shang Xige's attitude. It squatted down in front of him and patted his shoulder, saying, "Come on, Old Shang, can you stop being so whiny? Are you a girl? Hurry up and get on; don't waste time!"
"Alright," Shang Xige sighed with a bitter smile and climbed onto the crocodile's shoulders.
Su Xiuwen spoke to the old man, "Old Sun, we can't stay here too long; otherwise, it will put you in danger. If anyone comes asking about us, you must not reveal a word. Otherwise, I fear they might harm you!"
The elder known as Old Sun nodded and replied, "Miss Su, don't worry. I won't disclose your whereabouts... Thank you. If it weren't for you, I would still be worrying about my grandson's tuition!"
"Old Sun, please don't mention it. If it weren't for you taking us in, we wouldn't know where to go. If you ever need my help in the future, just let me know; I won't refuse any assistance I can provide," Su Xiuwen said with a smile.
"By the way, Wenwen, go inside and get that thing!" Shang Xige suddenly remembered something and immediately told Su Xiuwen.
"Oh right, that thing is still hidden inside!" Su Xiuwen exclaimed as she turned and walked into the house. Soon after, she came back out holding a USB drive.
"Boss, all the important information I mentioned is on that USB drive. As for what it contains, I'm not sure; you'll understand once you see it under the right conditions!" Shang Xige said to Mo Ming.
"Okay." Su Xiuwen handed the USB drive to Mo Ming.
"Alright, let's leave here first. We can discuss everything later when it's safe!" Mo Ming put away the USB drive without asking about its origins since the main concern now was not the USB drive but how to leave this place and get to safety.
The crocodile carried Shang Xige, and without any delay, they rushed down a small path pointed out by Old Sun. This path was rarely used by people and led directly to the main road; taking this route would minimize their chances of encountering members of the 'Dark Order!
Mo Ming and the others quickly made their way down a narrow path. After about an hour of walking, Mo Ming, who was in the lead, suddenly stopped and gestured for Liufeng and the others behind him to halt as well. His brow furrowed, and a glint of killing intent flashed in his eyes.
"Someone is coming," Mo Ming whispered.
"Should we take them out first?" Liufeng suggested, extending his crimson tongue.
"That would be risky. Who knows how many of them there are? If they discover our whereabouts, it could get very troublesome," Mo Ming replied after careful consideration. "You all stay put. I'll draw them away. Once they're far enough, you can make your move!"
"Boss, you're going to draw them away alone?" Shang Xige said with a frown.
"Should I go with you instead?" Liufeng proposed uneasily.
"No, Liufeng, your skills are second only to mine. You need to stay back just in case. Trust me, I'm more than capable on my own. Those Dark Order scum won't take my life so easily!" Mo Ming said confidently, a smirk on his face.
"Alright then, boss, be careful!" Liufeng knew that Mo Ming's decision was final and patted him on the shoulder.
"Stay in touch," Mo Ming smiled and nodded before crouching down and quietly moving toward the source of the sound.
As Mo Ming approached the group, he stopped to observe their numbers—there were about twenty of them, unarmed and without any firearms. Seeing that they were not carrying weapons eased Mo Ming's worries even more.
With his current skills, he feared no one unless it was a Lord!
"According to the intel, that kid is hiding around here with injuries. We must capture him; if we can't get what he has, our lives are forfeit!" one man who seemed to be the leader said.
"SH City is already quite large; this area is mostly desolate mountains and wilderness. It's not easy to find someone," another man replied with a bitter smile.
"Hmph, whether it's easy or not, he won't escape. Enough talk; to prevent that kid from hearing us and fleeing down this secluded path, we'll split into two groups to pursue him. Everyone stay sharp; don't let him slip away!" the leader said coldly with a snort.
With the leader's orders given, the others dared not say anything further and immediately began to disperse to search.
At that moment, Mo Ming deliberately stepped heavily on a dry branch before running toward the opposite side where Liufeng and the others were hiding.
"Chase him! Don't let him get away!" A group of people abandoned their scattered search and immediately rushed after Mo Ming.
As this group went after Mo Ming, Liufeng and the others continued to move forward.
They probably had no idea they had fallen into a trap.
Moreover, this was not just a trap; it was also the moment when the Grim Reaper's scythe swung!
Mo Ming had no intention of running indefinitely. After sprinting for a while, he suddenly stopped and hid beside a tree, waiting for his prey to arrive. With his exceptional hearing, he could clearly hear the movements of his pursuers.
Just as the first prey approached the tree where Mo Ming was hiding, before the person could react, Mo Ming's hands shot out swiftly. With a crisp "crack," that person's neck was snapped.
"Over there!" The others noticed the commotion and immediately surrounded Mo Ming.
In fact, Mo Ming also intended to test whether they were carrying firearms. After this test, he realized they had no guns; otherwise, they wouldn't be surrounding him now but shooting bullets instead.
Knowing that they had no firearms, Mo Ming decided to take action and quickly eliminate these small fries before rejoining Liufeng.
"Hmph, wait a minute, you're not that kid!" When everyone surrounded Mo Ming, the leader's expression froze as he realized that Mo Ming was not Shang Xige. He knew he had been tricked.
"Do you know who I am?" Mo Ming looked at the dozen or so people surrounding him and chuckled indifferently.
Would a tiger fear an attack from a group of mice? Obviously not!
"Captain, who cares who he is? He's definitely in cahoots with that kid. If we capture him, I don't believe we can't find that kid!" A long-haired man sneered at Mo Ming, thinking it would be terrifying.
But to Mo Ming, he was just a clown!
"Come on, I'll gladly take your worthless life!" Mo Ming waved his hand with a dismissive smile that made the group feel extremely uncomfortable.
"Attack!" At the captain's command, they charged at Mo Ming. The other members followed suit and launched their assault. However, just as they attacked, Mo Ming moved swiftly to the side.
The right fist tightened and struck a person's face with incredible speed, knocking that individual to the ground.
"This person is not simple; everyone stay alert!" The leader noticed Mo Ming's move and quickly warned the others.
A hint of disdain curled at the corner of Mo Ming's mouth as he swung his fists and feet, taking down everyone nearby. In less than five minutes, nine out of twenty people had fallen, five of whom were severely injured and unable to rise!
Moreover, four others were directly killed by Mo Ming. After all, the human body is quite fragile, especially under Mo Ming's immense strength. When their vital areas were struck, survival was nearly impossible.
In a battle between experts, protecting vital points is crucial!
Unfortunately, this group was not considered experts in front of Mo Ming. Their speed was on an entirely different level; even with their numerical advantage, they could not inflict any harm on Mo Ming. As the fight continued, more of them fell.
"This person's skills are too monstrous!" The leader's throat moved as he watched Mo Ming in action, and a figure immediately surfaced in his mind.
Lord! An extremely formidable young man!
Mo Ming's current strength was on par with Lord, both being peak existences among experts. It was no surprise that the leader would associate Mo Ming with Lord upon witnessing his prowess.
"You're the last one left." As Mo Ming dispatched everyone except for the leader, the upward curve of his right mouth exceeded that of his left, revealing a sinister expression that made the leader tremble.
"Who exactly are you?" The leader asked with a furrowed brow.
"Heh heh. We've crossed paths countless times; you wouldn't not recognize me, would you?" Mo Ming replied coldly.
Upon hearing this, the leader thought carefully and his expression changed dramatically as he exclaimed in horror, "You are Shura!"
"Correct. You got it right; your reward is to be sent down!" Mo Ming grinned ominously and moved again at incredible speed toward the leader.
The leader was greatly astonished by Mo Ming's speed and hurriedly threw a punch. However, after missing his target, Mo Ming's right leg shot out like a cannonball, striking hard against the leader's abdomen.
Puff!
A mouthful of fresh blood sprayed from the leader's mouth.
"You can rest now." Mo Ming rushed forward, quickly reaching out to grip the leader's neck. With a slight squeeze, the leader immediately struggled to breathe.
A glint of ferocity flashed in Mo Ming's eyes as he coldly stated, "Those who harm my brother shall die!"
Crack!
The leader had no strength left to resist and was directly snapped by Mo Ming. The remaining injured individuals were also dealt with one by one by him.
After eliminating this group, Mo Ming felt no concern and hurriedly chased after Liufeng and the others. With Mo Ming's running speed, he quickly caught up to them.
Once they regrouped, Mo Ming and the others squatted by the roadside for a while before intercepting a large truck heading out of town. After casually offering the driver a price, he gladly agreed to give them a ride.
They certainly couldn’t go to SH City, as there would undoubtedly be many minions of the Dark Order there. Mo Ming planned to head out of town first and then transfer back to Nanhua City. As long as they returned to Nanhua City, all threats would be eliminated.
