Coming out of the room of Demon Eye, Mo Ming did not go anywhere else but directly to his own room. He opened a bottle of 1982 French red wine, sat down in front of the computer, opened his email, and began to read the latest messages.
There were three or four unread emails with the subject line "Investigation on Hong Gang," all sent by "Invisible Man."
"Invisible Man" refers to a group of people responsible for relaying information within the Underworld Intelligence Network, not just one individual. Apart from Mo Ming and Jessica, no one else knows how many "Invisible Men" there are or who they might be.
Mo Ming carefully examined the emails sent to him by the Underworld Intelligence Network, which contained a lot of confidential information about Hong Gang, including what Demon Eye mentioned today regarding Hong Gang's Three Halls. There was little mention of the Hall Master of Three Halls in the emails, but there was one crucial piece of information.
The Hall Master of Three Halls is a high-ranking member of Hong Gang under the leadership of Yin Jiu. The power he holds is significant, and while everyone appears to get along harmoniously on the surface, there are actually some underlying disputes. However, it is not a matter of outright conflict between the Three Halls; rather, it is a situation where two halls suppress one.
The two halls that suppress one are Leopard Hall and Tiger Hall working together to keep Lion Hall in check. The Hall Master of Lion Hall, Mourning Lion, joined Hong Gang only a month or two after Yin Jiu and is considered an elder. Although Mourning Lion outwardly obeys Yin Jiu, he does not fully submit.
The elders of Leopard Hall and Tiger Hall have mostly been eliminated, but Mourning Lion has managed to protect his elders well. He conducts himself cautiously and avoids major conflicts with the other two halls. If they make significant moves against him, he seeks out Yin Jiu for justice.
Seeing this, Mo Ming turned his attention to Mourning Lion. He poured himself a glass of red wine, swirled it lightly, took a big sip, and revealed a faint smile at the corner of his mouth: "This Mourning Lion is quite interesting; he knows how to protect himself. Although Yin Jiu wants to eliminate him, as long as he doesn't cause any disturbances, Yin Jiu has no reason to remove him. This person might be useful."
After all, Hong Gang is a large force backed by Dark Order. It may be unlikely to completely eradicate Hong Gang; however, utilizing members within Hong Gang to incite internal conflict could turn them into tools for his own use—a viable solution.
Yin Jiu places great importance on Wen Bao from Leopard Hall. Wen Bao was brought into Hong Gang by Yin Jiu. After the previous Hall Master of Leopard Hall died, based on seniority and ability, Wen Bao was far inferior to many elder figures in Leopard Hall. However, with Yin Jiu's support, Wen Bao naturally stood out among numerous competitors and became the new Hall Master of Leopard Hall.
Many people in Hong Gang were dissatisfied with this; however, they dared not voice their anger due to Yin Jiu's authority. Moreover, after Wen Bao became Hall Master, he ruthlessly dealt with those disobedient elders from Leopard Hall using various methods to eliminate them or force them into hiding. After Wen Bao's "Three Massacres," Leopard Hall essentially underwent a complete change in its leadership.
Many understood that this "Three Massacres" could not have been accomplished solely by Wen Bao's position. The slaughtering of Vice Hall Masters and law enforcement elders required backing from Yin Jiu; otherwise, Wen Bao would not have been able to carry it out.
The information Mo Ming received from the Underworld Intelligence Network indicated that Yin Jiu had Wen Bao execute the "Three Massacres" because those three individuals had drunkenly spoken ill of him—claiming that Yin Jiu had an unclear background and malicious intentions and that he had quickly risen to power only to have his confidants persecute the elders—accusing Yin Jiu of being an undercover agent sent by enemies.
"Yin Jiu truly is ruthless; those who follow him prosper while those who oppose him perish?" Mo Ming patiently finished reading the last email and smiled wickedly as he took out a cigarette, sniffed it briefly before lighting it and taking a deep drag: "Heh heh, I'm just like you; I want all my enemies gone!"
After reviewing all the intelligence sent by the Underworld Intelligence Network, Mo Ming completely cleared all files from his inbox. He pressed on his acupoint to relieve some pressure around his eyes before moving his mouse to open a browser and entered "Sanpan City map." The map of Sanpan City appeared on the screen.
Mo Ming was meticulous in his work; this time heading to Sanpan City required him to memorize its terrain thoroughly. The intelligence highlighted all distributions of Hong Gang's forces—including their companies and industries—these details were extremely important. Understanding the layout of an opponent's territory allows for strategic advances and retreats!
After spending considerable time studying it, Mo Ming managed to memorize Sanpan City's map. Unbeknownst to him, it was already nine o'clock in the evening. This time wasn't too late; normally he might go out for drinks. However, given that he had important matters at hand now, Mo Ming didn't want to expend too much energy.
After taking a shower, Mo Ming threw himself onto the bed and closed his eyes.
Tomorrow, he would be venturing into the tiger's den, and the dangers were unpredictable. If he didn't have enough energy to cope, Sanpan City could very well become his grave.
The night passed just like that. The next morning, when Mo Ming got up to make preparations, Liufeng called to inform him that everything was ready and urged him to hurry to the train station in Nanhua City to meet up.
When Mo Ming arrived at the train station, it was bustling with people. It was quite difficult to find someone in such a crowd, but as Mo Ming scanned the area, he spotted Crocodile towering like a giant. It had to be said that Crocodile's height and size were too conspicuous; even if Mo Ming wanted to avoid him, it would be hard not to notice.
"Boss is here!" Crocodile exclaimed upon seeing Mo Ming walking through the crowd, alerting Liufeng and Poisonous Madness, who were engaged in conversation.
Liufeng and Poisonous Madness stopped talking and turned to look at the serious-faced Mo Ming approaching them.
"Liufeng, did the brothers split up and head over?" Mo Ming asked quietly.
Liufeng nodded. "Not long after you left yesterday, I had Ruin take the new members by bus, train, and plane to Sanpan City. I wanted them to find a place to settle down and gather some intel. The old members are only setting off today. There are quite a few of our brothers on this train, but I told everyone to act like strangers so as not to draw too much attention from Hong Gang."
"That's good. Let's head out!" Mo Ming said without further ado as he led Liufeng and the others through the ticket gate onto the train bound for Sanpan City.
Sanpan City was far from Nanhua City; even by train, it would take a day and a half. Liufeng had purchased sleeper tickets for all four of them, which were close together. Once on the train, they didn't say a word, acting as if they were strangers.
The train sped along day and night, stopping at various stations briefly before continuing on. Throughout the journey, Mo Ming and his companions remained silent; aside from eating and using the restroom, they mostly stayed in their compartment. In what seemed like no time at all, a day and a half had passed.
As the train entered Sanpan City, passengers began disembarking. Among them were several brothers from Yihun. Even when they spotted Mo Ming and his group, they maintained indifferent expressions—this was part of Liufeng's lesson on survival. When a group of brothers found themselves deep in enemy territory, drawing too much attention could be dangerous; the best course of action was to act as if nothing was amiss and pretend not to know each other.
Mo Ming and his three companions followed suit. After leaving the train station, they all took a taxi to Fortune Hotel. This hotel was one that Mo Ming had found on the map; it was a small inn that likely wouldn't have been noticed if it weren't so close to the train station.
This trip was meant for mischief; Mo Ming and his group certainly wouldn't stay in large hotels where it was unclear whether there were any Hong Gang members present. If their whereabouts were exposed and Yin Jiu sent people to ambush them, even with their skills, they would have nowhere to hide.
Thus, Mo Ming and his companions wisely chose a small inn.
The four of them booked four separate rooms but didn't go directly to their own rooms; instead, they all gathered in Mo Ming's room.
"Boss, we've now arrived in Sanpan City. The brothers must have also reached here and found places to stay. What's our next step?" Liufeng asked quietly after closing the door tightly behind them.
"I'll take care of approaching Mourning Lion, Liufeng, you handle the brothers. Last time you were here, you really enjoyed setting off 'fireworks', right? This time, I'll let you go all out!" Mo Ming said with a wicked smile.
The three understood the implication behind Mo Ming's words and couldn't help but grin. Liufeng was particularly pleased, stroking his chin and ominously chuckling, "No problem! I guarantee this time we'll put on a grand 'fireworks' show!"
"Toxic Jar and Crocodile, you two are responsible for contacting the arms dealers in Russia to quietly procure a batch of firearms and send them to Sanpan City. I need a sniper rifle with the longest range!" Mo Ming turned to Poisonous Madness and Crocodile, saying, "This time I'll show you that killing doesn't require great skills, just good marksmanship!"
"Boss, are you planning to take out Yin Jiu with one shot?" Crocodile asked.
Mo Ming shook his head. "No, taking out Yin Jiu is actually quite simple. But doing so wouldn't have much effect. If we kill him, Dark Order can still send out Yin Ten and Yin Eleven. What we need to do is create chaos within Hong Gang and make them our pawns!"
"From what you're saying, it seems you already have a plan?" Liufeng said lightly.
"I do have a plan, but whether it works depends on how well I can negotiate with Mourning Lion. As long as Mourning Lion is willing to help, I think taking down Hong Gang won't be difficult," Mo Ming replied with a smile. "Alright, follow my instructions. Wait for my signal to start the operation!"
Liufeng, Crocodile, and Poisonous Madness all nodded in understanding. Then the three left Mo Ming's room and returned to their own.
"We need to act quickly. I don't think Dark Order will allow us to continue growing unchecked. A major showdown seems imminent. We should eliminate some of Dark Order's influence before it's too late; otherwise, our entire force might collapse!" Mo Ming frowned as he sat on the bed, lost in thought about what to do next.
