In a villa near the sea, in one of the rooms.
The injured Mo Ming lay quietly on a bed, his face pale and devoid of any color, with both hands and feet secured to the bed by iron cuffs. Having witnessed Mo Ming's abilities, ordinary ropes could not hold him.
Yamamoto Kyouka had brought Mo Ming to this remote villa, where a professional doctor was found to stop his bleeding and provide a blood transfusion, ultimately saving his life. Otherwise, excessive blood loss would have meant certain death.
At this moment, he remained in a state of unconsciousness, his upper body bare but wrapped in pristine white bandages that were soaked in crimson stains.
Due to significant blood loss, he had been in a coma for six days.
On the bed, Mo Ming's fingers slowly twitched, followed by a soft "mm" escaping his lips.
After a while, Mo Ming gradually opened his eyes.
"Where am I? I..." The last memory in Mo Ming's mind was of Yamamoto Kyouka throwing two small white balls. He moved his hands only to find them restrained, and when he tried to move his feet, he realized he was still unable to move.
Mo Ming did not panic; instead, he accepted his situation. Being deep in the tiger's den, panicking would only lead to chaos and serve no purpose. He carefully observed his surroundings. Aside from the bed designed for dealing with violent patients, the other furniture appeared ordinary.
The only notable feature was the black image of a nine-tailed fox carved into the ceiling and walls of the room.
In his recollection, the Frank Family had no particular fondness for nine-tailed foxes, indicating that this was not Reed's castle. As for where it was, Mo Ming could only conclude that he was currently on the territory of the Heavenly Ninja Group.
This organization had little fame or perhaps was too low-key for anyone to notice its existence. Before this incident, Mo Ming had no impression of such an organization at all.
However, the fact that this group could harbor the "resurrected" Yamamoto Kyouka suggested that the Heavenly Ninja Group possessed considerable capabilities. To rescue someone like Yamamoto Kyouka, who was on the brink of death, from under the watchful eyes of a certain country was no small feat.
Thus, it became clear that the Heavenly Ninja Group was not an ordinary organization. After lurking for so many years, their sudden emergence raised questions about their true intentions. To Mo Ming, things had become increasingly perplexing.
Reed had released Mo Ming and others immediately for Edith's safety; however, it seemed that the Heavenly Ninja Group, which should have been allied with them, sent assassins after them with targets being Edith and also leading to Hank's death. The series of events that unfolded were truly strange, revealing evident contradictions within.
"The Heavenly Ninja Group must be aiming for some sort of goal, secretly manipulating events. From everything that has happened, their actions seem designed to provoke a war between me and Reed," a thought flashed through Mo Ming's mind as he began to clarify his thoughts.
But then again, as he pondered further, Mo Ming furrowed his brow tightly.
"That's not right. If the Heavenly Ninja Group sent over two hundred people that night, Reed wouldn't have been completely unaware. Moreover, framing someone doesn't mean they would come to kill without any disguise," Mo Ming said, feeling a headache coming on. "The illusion techniques of the Heavenly Ninja Group are quite impressive."
There were indeed many ninjas that night, but there were no strong ones among them, which meant they were insufficient to kill Mo Ming and the others. This indicated that the target of the Heavenly Ninja Group was not Mo Ming and his companions, but Edith. Clearly, those ninjas were merely cannon fodder in a desperate attempt.
Now, Mo Ming felt a significant contradiction. After leaving Reed's estate that night, he encountered ninjas who did not hide their identities at all, yet their purpose was to kill Edith. This made Mo Ming feel that there was a deeper conspiracy at play.
"Ah..."
The door to the room was pushed open.
Mo Ming immediately became alert and turned his head toward the door.
"Shura, you've finally woken up after six days," Yamamoto Kyouka walked in, accompanied by Shizuka Domoto. The smiles on their faces were so glaring that they seemed to mock Mo Ming for becoming a prisoner.
Upon recognizing the visitors, Mo Ming casually looked at the ceiling and smirked slightly. "Yamamoto Kyouka, I never expected you would use such despicable means to bring me back. Don't you feel ashamed of your blade?"
Mo Ming's words hit Yamamoto Kyouka's sore spot; his smile immediately vanished as he coldly snorted, "Hmph, it is indeed humiliating for my blade. However, I have orders to bring you back alive. Otherwise, I will skin you alive."
"Skin me alive?" A hint of sarcasm crept onto Mo Ming's lips. "Unfortunately for you, you chose to humiliate your own blade. This will be your lifelong blunder, Yamamoto Kyouka; you've turned your blade into a symbol of weakness. Ha ha..."
A glint of killing intent flashed in Yamamoto Kyouka's eyes as he said in a deep voice, "Shura, are you looking for death?"
"Calm down, Yamamoto Kyouka. Our mission is complete now; what happens next has nothing to do with us," Shizuka Domoto interjected, fearing that Yamamoto Kyouka might lose control and kill Mo Ming, which would lead to an immediate failure of their mission.
"Let go of me!" Yamamoto Kyouka shook off Shizuka Domoto and regained some composure but still felt displeased. "This guy deserves to be tortured; I really don't understand why we should keep him alive."
"Honestly, I don't understand what the leader is thinking either," Shizuka Domoto said with a helpless shake of his head. "Just don't get too worked up; this guy has no other fun besides annoying you right now. Don't fall into his trap."
"I don't need your reminder; I know. It's just that hearing this guy insult my blade makes me furious. Do we have any tape?" Yamamoto Kyouka looked around for tape. "I want to tape this bastard's mouth shut; he's such an annoying guy."
"Yamamoto Kyouka, I really don't understand what could make you allow your blade to be insulted like this. Tell me; I'm very curious who ordered you not to kill me?" Mo Ming scoffed with heavy sarcasm.
Shizuka Domoto looked frustrated and thought bitterly: "There's no stopping him now; this guy really wants to die..."
Mo Ming was clearly courting death. Knowing that Yamamoto Kyouka despised anyone who insulted his sword, he continued to provoke him. Wasn't this just a blatant attempt to incite Yamamoto Kyouka to kill him?
Sure enough, the veins on Yamamoto Kyouka's forehead bulged, ready to strike and silence Mo Ming.
"Stop it, Mad Blade. I need him alive. If you can't hold back, then step aside for now." A woman's voice came through, and soon a graceful figure walked in.
"Hmph, Shura, consider yourself lucky this time. I'll let it slide for now, but if I get the chance, I will carve you up piece by piece. Believe me, I never lie." Upon hearing this, Yamamoto Kyouka halted, his eyes filled with murderous intent as he stared at Mo Ming.
Mo Ming paid no mind to Yamamoto Kyouka's words, but his face showed surprise. The woman before him was someone he recognized; he was astonished to find out she was connected to the Heavenly Ninja Group.
"What's wrong? Don't you remember me, Young Master Mo Ming?"
The woman was none other than Miyu.
Miyu smiled and said, "I never expected to see you again in a place like this, Young Master Mo Ming. You were quite hard to find. To think you are the Shura of the Dragon Soul Gang, causing such upheaval in Y Country, truly surprises me."
"Well, Miss Miyu, you surprised me as well." A flash of astonishment crossed Mo Ming's eyes as he smiled slightly. "I really didn't expect such a beautiful lady to be the leader of the Heavenly Ninja Group. You truly caught me off guard."
"Haha..." Miyu laughed charmingly, her innate allure radiating from her. She waved at Yamamoto Kyouka and Shizuka Domoto: "You two can wait outside for me. He can't harm anyone right now."
Yamamoto Kyouka and Shizuka Domoto said nothing more and nodded respectfully before leaving the room together and closing the door behind them.
"Miss Miyu, I'm curious as to how you know my identity?" Mo Ming felt a mix of emotions inside; the sudden appearance of Miyu left him utterly shocked. He never expected that the one pulling the strings behind everything was a woman with such deep allure.
Initially, Mo Ming had planned to deceive Miyu, intending to obtain incriminating information from her. But now it was clear who was truly being played; it was laughable that he thought he had hooked the fish when in fact he was the one caught!
"You actually hid it quite well; I almost fell for it. Unfortunately for you, you revealed two flaws that made me suspicious of you." Miyu leaned in and gently caressed Mo Ming's face.
Feeling uncomfortable, Mo Ming turned his head away but couldn't escape from Miyu's "hands." While she could have any man she desired due to her charm, at that moment, Mo Ming felt like a cabbage being trampled by a pig!
Humiliation—it was pure humiliation.
Having lived over twenty years, Mo Ming had never encountered such disgrace. Lying on the bed without any means to fight back while being toyed with by a woman who had been with countless men was an immense shame!
"Don't touch me!" Mo Ming shouted.
Miyu, unfazed, smiled and said, "Where does Young Master Mo's anger come from? You specifically used a 'Beauty Scheme' on me back then, and now I've fallen for you. Don't you feel happy about that?"
"Happy? I'm afraid you've misunderstood. I have no feelings for you at all. I think you already understood my intentions when I approached you, so why pretend to be foolish?" Mo Ming sneered. "Besides, I'm not interested in a woman who has been with countless men."
"You..." Miyu was instantly furious, pointing at Mo Ming before suppressing her anger. "Hmph, your words are truly hurtful, Young Master Mo. However, I have indeed fallen for you. Otherwise, do you think you could still be alive today?"
"I don't need your love. A gentleman can be killed but cannot be insulted. I can die in battle but will not tolerate humiliation. Miyu, don't flaunt your tricks; I won't fall for them," Mo Ming said solemnly.
Love? What does a woman who has worn countless green hats for her husband know about love?
It's laughable to say it out loud; Mo Ming never liked Miyu to begin with, and hearing her words only made him feel more disgusted.
"Hmph, truly ungrateful. I've treated you with respect, yet you speak harshly. Asura, do you really think I wouldn't dare to kill you?" Miyu's face was filled with anger, and a hint of ruthlessness flashed in her eyes as she reached out and grabbed Mo Ming's neck tightly, squeezing hard enough to turn his face red.
Miyu's strength was considerable, far from what one would expect from a petite woman. It seemed she had some skills; otherwise, just relying on her beauty wouldn't make Yamamoto Kyouka, who was obsessed with blades, obey her without hesitation, even at the cost of insulting the blade itself.
