The Frank Family, although a major force in Y Country's underworld, still has sufficient control over the legitimate side. However, Reed does not understand why Abraham, who used to turn a blind eye, suddenly intervened to help the Dragon Soul Gang. This has left many puzzled.
Regarding Abraham's involvement, Reed felt anger but dared not act rashly. After all, Abraham is a senior political official in Y Country, and if he were to hire an assassin to kill Abraham, the Frank Family would face suppression from the Military.
Abraham rejected all of Reed's invitations and clearly stated his position: he would not help the Dragon Soul Gang nor the Frank Family. However, if anyone dared to disrupt Y Country, they should not blame him for being ruthless.
While that is what he said, it was clear to everyone that Abraham still leaned towards helping the Dragon Soul Gang. As for why, outsiders would not understand; only Night Peak and a few others knew that Abraham was repaying a favor to Seventh Master.
Recently, Lion temporarily took over the position of gang leader and began recruiting aggressively, rapidly expanding the Dragon Soul Gang's numbers. Money flowed like water, and the Dragon Soul Gang's membership had already reached one hundred thousand—a considerable figure.
Lion divided these recruits into two groups based on their abilities. The better candidates underwent strict selection to become inner members of the Dragon Soul Gang, while the lesser ones became outer members, referred to as "Cannon Fodder Corps." The members of "Righteous Souls" were still managed by Liufeng, as Lion had no authority to recruit them.
In just three days since Mo Ming was captured, Lion commanded the forces from six major branches to sweep through Reed's territory, causing severe losses to all industries under the Frank Family. Some businesses were even forced to suspend operations.
Naturally, Reed would not sit idly by and immediately retaliated. However, as the saying goes, "barefoot people are not afraid of those wearing shoes." Lion did not care about profits; all these industries were merely taken over from the previous six gangs and were not their economic source. No matter how fierce Reed's counterattacks were, they had little impact.

In the core castle of the Frank Family, Reed sat outside on the balcony soaking up the sun. A beautiful woman in a bikini was giving him a back massage. He appeared relaxed, but inside he was restless.
In just this past month, Reed's family business—once thriving—had been nearly driven into the ground due to the sudden emergence of the Dragon Soul Gang. No matter how he retaliated, it seemed like his opponents were invincible; their provocations against the Frank Family never ceased for a moment.
Hank hurriedly approached from outside and stood respectfully beside Reed. Before Hank could speak, Reed slowly opened his eyes, sat up, and gently waved his hand to signal the woman to leave.
Once she had departed, Reed looked at Hank and said calmly, "Hank, your expression doesn't seem very optimistic. No news from Rossi? Has there been no clarity on Shura's identity?"
"Chief, I have not been able to accomplish anything, and I hope you will punish me for it," Hank said with a bitter smile, shaking his head. "I haven't been able to contact the International Intelligence Organization, so I still don't have the information on Shura. My negotiations with the Dragon Soul Gang also failed. They said that if their leader suffers even a little, Rossi, the Young Clan Leader, must die..."
As he spoke, Hank thought Reed would fly into a rage, making him feel somewhat uneasy. It wasn't that Hank was cowardly; it was just that Reed's methods were too cruel, and Hank felt genuine fear from the bottom of his heart.
"Don't blame yourself; I expected this, Hank. Go negotiate with the Dragon Soul Gang again. Try to meet their conditions as much as possible, but don't give in too much; otherwise, they will think we are easy to bully."
Reed did not get angry; his expression remained calm. Although he felt some annoyance at Hank's failure to accomplish his task, he held it back. Reed was skilled at winning over his subordinates and would not simply choose to punish them. When it was time to be lenient, he would be lenient!
Upon hearing this, a hint of surprise flashed in Hank's eyes. He was slightly taken aback by Reed's reaction but quickly nodded in response. "Yes, Chief, please rest assured. I will do my utmost to negotiate. If anything happens to Rossi, the Young Clan Leader, I am willing to accompany him!"
"Follow God's will; you don't need to be like this. The Frank Family has developed and become strong thanks to capable helpers like you. I won't casually let you die." A glint of killing intent flickered in Reed's eyes as he said in a deep voice, "If anything happens to Rossi, I only need you to do one thing—destroy the Dragon Soul Gang!"
Hank nodded seriously, clenching his fists and raising them. "If anything happens to Rossi, I am willing to lead our people to eliminate the Dragon Soul Gang, even if it costs me my life!"
"Mm." Reed acknowledged with a sound and slowly stood up, patting Hank on the shoulder. "The captured Shura has already woken up; come with me to see him. I have something to discuss with him."
"Yes!"
Reed led Hank to the underground chamber of the castle. It was dark and filled with a putrid smell that was quite nauseating. This place had once imprisoned countless people who resisted the Frank Family; many had starved to death inside, their bones still remaining unburied.
However, as the Frank Family gradually grew stronger, no one dared oppose them anymore. Thus, this place had been empty for a long time. Now it only held one person—the only enemy that gave Reed a headache: Mo Ming.
"Heh heh, Leader Reed, you finally decided to come see me."
Before Reed even appeared, Mo Ming had already guessed that it was him. This place usually had no visitors outside of meal times, so the fact that someone came before then could only mean it was Reed.
Reed and Hank walked up to Mo Ming's secret chamber.
“Ha ha, Shura, the leader of the new force in Y Country, the Dragon Soul Gang. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I didn't expect our first meeting to be here; what a pity,” Reed laughed heartily, knocking on the iron door. “Now, you are my prisoner!”
“I don't see it that way. Thanks to your hospitality, I've finally gotten some much-needed sleep after suffering from insomnia for so long,” Mo Ming replied with a smile instead of anger. “I see you're not here just to torment me today, are you?”
“Hmph, still talking tough when death is at your doorstep. Shura, you really have some guts. Even as my prisoner, you dare to act so arrogant. Do you know that with just a flick of my finger, I can make you disappear from this world forever?” Reed snorted coldly, his tone filled with rage.
“Well, I’d like to see how you plan to flick your finger and make me and your own son disappear from this world. Ha! You don't need to threaten me; I'm not afraid of death, Reed. The only reason you haven't acted against me is that you're afraid something might happen to your son. You're scared, but I'm not!”
The lion's capture of Rossi was arranged by Mo Ming, so being in Reed's lair unharmed meant that Mo Ming knew the lion had successfully caught Reed's son. Therefore, he wasn't worried about Reed taking action against him; after all, even a tiger does not eat its own cubs!
When Rossi was mentioned, the murderous intent in Reed's eyes intensified; he was seething with anger. However, for the sake of Rossi's safety, he forced himself to swallow his rage and spoke calmly: “So tell me, after all your efforts to establish the Dragon Soul Gang against the Frank Family, what exactly do you want?”
“It's simple. Just hand over Gong Gao Yi to me, and I guarantee that the Dragon Soul Gang and the Frank Family will not interfere with each other!” Mo Ming smiled and emphasized again: “If you refuse to hand over Gong Gao Yi, then we have nothing more to discuss.”
“You've gone through so much trouble and risk just for me to hand over Gong Gao Yi?” Reed was somewhat taken aback but quickly replied coldly: “Unless you give me a good reason, there’s no way I’m handing over Gong Gao Yi!”
After all, Gong Gao Yi was his family member; he couldn't just hand him over to Mo Ming. Although the establishment of the Dragon Soul Gang had caused significant losses to the Frank Family, if Reed surrendered Gong Gao Yi, he would lose all face.
People outside would think that Reed had bowed down and admitted defeat to Mo Ming!
"The reason is simple. Gong Gao Yi killed Mother Mountain in the past, and I am here to settle the score with him. I hope you consider that continuing this conflict between the Dragon Soul Gang and the Frank Family will bring you no benefits!"
Reed frowned and snorted coldly, saying, "What you call a reason cannot justify my handing over anyone. If anyone could make me hand someone over for revenge, where would the dignity of the Frank Family be? Hmph, Asura, I don't care about your background. I can clearly tell you that even at a great cost, I will annihilate the Dragon Soul Gang!"
Mo Ming had already guessed that Reed would not hand over Gong Gao Yi. Not to mention that Reed and Gong Gao Yi were family by marriage; even if they weren't, just being close to someone means that if Mo Ming demanded him to hand over that person, it would undoubtedly damage Frank Family's reputation.
Currently, Mo Ming did not have solid evidence of Miyu's wrongdoing. Words alone were not enough, especially with the tense relations at present; Reed would not believe him. Even if he suspected and investigated Miyu, it might yield no results. At that point, it would only alert Miyu, making it uncertain when they could catch Gong Gao Yi.
"Your intimidation has been delivered. I think you can go ahead and act on your thoughts now. Go ahead; once you have wiped out the Dragon Soul, come back and show off to me."
Mo Ming appeared unfazed by Reed's threat. No matter how strong the Frank Family was, annihilating the Dragon Soul Gang was not an easy task. Now that he was captured, a lion would surely seek help to rescue him. All Mo Ming needed to do was buy some time; then he wouldn't have to worry about getting out.
"If you want to see the day when the Dragon Soul Gang is wiped out, you'll have to see if you can survive until then!" Reed said in a deep voice. "Hank, give the order: starting today, cut off his food and water supply. Let's see if he can still be as tough as he is now!"
Originally, Reed wanted to discuss peace talks with Mo Ming, but since Mo Ming had provoked him with words from the start and demanded he hand over Gong Gao Yi, any chance for negotiation was nearly impossible; thus, there was no need for further discussion!
After speaking, in a fit of anger, Reed turned and left, with Hank closely following behind.
