Night Peak had chased for a long distance, yet there was still no sign of Mo Ming. He didn't dare to pursue too aggressively; if he accidentally fell into an enemy ambush, it would be disastrous. Reluctantly, he had to return to the Dragon Soul Gang headquarters.
Now, the sky was beginning to lighten, and the bloody night had passed. The people from the white path started to clean up the mess. Yin Eun-hye, Eda, Ethan, Mario, and Liu Wenjie from the Dragon Soul Gang all withdrew their forces and returned to the compound.
While they were discussing matters, Night Peak walked in. Upon seeing him enter, the meeting room immediately fell silent, all eyes fixed on Night Peak. Without needing to ask, they could tell from his angry expression that he had not found their leader.
At that moment, Night Peak's face was filled with worry. After knowing Mo Ming for so long, they had developed a brotherly bond, and he naturally did not want anything to happen to him. Moreover, Seventh Master had instructed him to help Mo Ming. With Mo Ming missing, Night Peak truly didn't know how to explain this to Seventh Master.
He said nothing; he didn't want to speak. Seventh Master had saved his life and educated him. Even if it meant going through fire and water or facing a thousand arrows, Night Peak would not blink an eye. But now, failing to take care of Mo Ming made him feel guilty.
Night Peak glanced at Yin Eun-hye and the others unintentionally. In truth, he did not understand that his gaze made them feel frightened. He retracted his gaze and walked over to his chair, sitting down heavily without saying a word, waiting for Jessica to arrive. With Mo Ming absent and the lion not present, only Jessica could take control of the situation.
Due to Night Peak's arrival, the meeting room was filled with a cold atmosphere. Yin Eun-hye and the others instinctively dared not speak, only exchanging glances with one another while accompanying Night Peak in silence. The atmosphere was indeed awkward.
After waiting for a while, they could hear the hurried sound of high heels approaching. Everyone turned towards the entrance and saw a worried-looking Jessica walking in briskly. Before she could get close, the silent Night Peak stood up.
“Miss Jessica, how are things?”
Night Peak could only place his hopes on the lion's side. Although he did not know what task Mo Ming had given the lion, from what he heard from Jessica, as long as the lion's task was completed, there would be no danger for Mo Ming.
“Ah, I can't get in touch with the lion; I don't know what the situation is like over there. He is also unaware of our circumstances. If he finds out that our leader has been captured, he will likely go berserk and single-handedly confront Reed for answers,” said Jessica, her eyes filled with concern as she sighed and shook her head.
As his partner, she understood the lion's temperament best—fierce like a king of the forest and deeply loyal. With Mo Ming captured, he would undoubtedly go into a rage; at that point, it would be difficult to stop him.

As Liu Wenjie spoke, he suddenly felt a killing intent directed at him, and the source of that intent was Night Peak. He couldn't help but quickly defend himself, but it seemed that the more he explained, the fiercer Night Peak's gaze became, causing him to fall silent in fear.
Yin Eun-hye, Mario, Eda, and Ethan all felt a sense of dread towards Night Peak, the Evil Ghost who dared to eat people's fingers. They feared that his anger might spill over onto them and didn't dare to say a single good word for Liu Wenjie.
Sensing the tense atmosphere, Jessica hurriedly said, "Night Peak, calm down. No one wanted this to happen. Liu Wenjie did make a mistake, but there's no point in pursuing his fault now. Let's not worry about him for the moment; we can leave it to the boss when he returns."
"Let's hope Brother Mo Ming is okay!" Night Peak finally withdrew his gaze and looked at Jessica. "Right now, with Brother Mo Ming and Lion both absent, the burden of the Dragon Soul Gang falls on you. What do you think we should do next?"
"I'm just a woman; I can't handle big matters. Let's wait for Lion to come back. I estimate he will be back soon. Once he returns, we can figure out our next steps. You don't need to worry too much; as long as the boss is alive, he'll find a way to protect himself," Jessica replied, shaking her head.
The Dragon Soul Gang was not a small force; managing it was quite challenging. While she could gather intelligence and manage the information organization due to her experience in the security bureau, managing such a large criminal organization was something Jessica felt she couldn't bear.
"Well, it can't be helped," Night Peak said helplessly.
Just as Night Peak finished speaking, steady footsteps approached. Soon, Lion's massive figure appeared before everyone, with a man in a suit slung over his shoulder.
"Lion, you finally returned!" Jessica exclaimed with joy upon seeing Lion and quickly approached him. "How did your task go?"
Lion chuckled and said, "Do you think I would fail at my job? Although the process was a bit troublesome, I still managed to bring the person back. Hehe, this kid actually has quite a few skilled people around him, but once they encountered me, they all turned into dogs!"
After saying this, Lion noticed that the atmosphere here was somewhat heavy. Seeing the undeniable worry in Jessica's eyes and glancing around the conference room without spotting Mo Ming made his brow furrow tightly.
"What’s going on? Why does everyone look like they’re mourning? Did something happen to the boss?"
Lion's tone carried an accusatory edge that made Liu Wenjie's heart race again as if he were on a roller coaster. He knew very well how ruthless Lion could be; angering him left Liu Wenjie feeling anxious about his own safety.
"Speak up!" After a long silence without anyone responding, Lion suddenly exploded in rage and violently threw the person off his shoulder onto the ground. The man immediately woke from his stupor and began rolling on the floor while screaming loudly.
"Who the hell are you to dare capture me? Do you even know who I am? I am Rossi, the biological son of Reed, the leader of the Frank Family. Do you want to die?"
The Lion's eyes flashed with a hint of killing intent as he stepped on Rossi, completely ignoring his shouts. He coldly turned his gaze toward Jessica and said, "Tell me, what is happening with the boss right now?"
"Please, you have to promise me to stay calm after I tell you. Don't..." Jessica was a bit scared, her words becoming jumbled. Before she could finish, the Lion interrupted her.
"Stop wasting time. I just want to know how the boss is doing!"
Night Peak helped Jessica respond, "Lion, Mo Ming has been captured by Reed's people. But don't act impulsively; as long as Mo Ming is alive, we will find a way to rescue him."
"Damn it, what a bunch of useless fools! You can't even keep track of one living person like the boss? What good are you?" The Lion's anger intensified upon hearing this. He cast a cold glance at Yin Eun-hye and the others and warned, "If anything happens to the boss, be prepared to die!"
Jessica hurriedly advised, "Calm down! We have Reed's biological son in our hands; there's still a chance to save the boss. Don't recklessly go after Reed for revenge; that won't save the boss and might get you killed too."
"Don't worry; although I'm impulsive, I'm not stupid. With this waste in our hands, the boss is temporarily safe." The Lion was still fuming but managed to retain some rationality and did not rush off to confront Reed as Jessica feared. Instead, he fell into deep thought.
Everyone held their breath, waiting for the Lion to speak. Rossi, underfoot, shouted, "You all know how powerful my father is now, right? Let me go, and I can plead for you. Otherwise, you'll all..."
Before he could finish his threat, the Lion snapped back to reality and kicked Rossi unconscious. He spat on him and said, "You think I'm afraid of your worthless father?"
"With the boss gone for now, I will manage the Dragon Soul Gang. You useless ones listen up: our relationship with the Frank Family is at a breaking point. So continue to harass them and put some pressure on Reed!" The Lion's cold gaze swept over Yin Eun-hye and the others. "I don't want any more failures in carrying out orders. Understood?"
"Understood! Don't worry, Lion; I'll make sure someone takes care of things with the Frank Family!" Eda was the first to nod in agreement.
Yin Eun-hye also chimed in, "Lion, I'll find someone to disrupt the Frank Family's operations too. The Dragon Soul Gang will not let them have it easy."
The rest of them expressed their commitment to putting pressure on the Frank Family.
"Jessica, send someone to investigate the boss's whereabouts. At the same time, spread the news that Reed's son is in our hands; he is the straw to save the boss! Also, notify those guys in Africa to bring people over!" The Lion snorted coldly, his eyes filled with a beast-like killing intent. Hank's eyes flashed with a hint of fear as he said, "Chief, don't be fooled by his young age; in terms of skill, I don't have confidence in defeating him. We lost more than ten brothers while capturing him."
"Yes, I know he is not simple. Being able to establish the Dragon Soul Gang speaks volumes about his strength. However, this sudden appearance of his is indeed too mysterious. Find someone to investigate his background," Reed said calmly. "I believe international intelligence organizations will have information on him."
Suddenly, a person hurriedly walked in and whispered something in Reed's ear. Reed immediately exploded in anger and grabbed him by the collar, saying, "Useless! You let them capture Rossi! What good are you to me? Tell me who did it!"
