"Ah..."
Three mournful voices echoed in the house. No matter how hard they tried to cover their eyes, the blood continued to flow uncontrollably. Mo Ming's expression remained blank as he made another cut; each of the three men had a faint kiss mark on their necks, and soon after, blood sprayed out once more.
Just moments ago, the three lewd-looking men had been able to speak, but in the blink of an eye, they all died at Mo Ming's hands. They probably didn't even realize how they had met their end.
Mo Ming discarded the large knife in his hand and turned around, picking up Lin Yuan'er in a horizontal embrace. He whispered in her ear, "Yuan, don't open your eyes, don't be afraid. As long as I'm by your side, I won't let anyone hurt you—unless they step over my dead body!"
"Mm, I know, Brother Mo. I've always known that with you here, Yuan'er will be very safe." Lin Yuan'er wrapped her arms around Mo Ming's neck and rested her head on his shoulder, a hint of a happy smile appearing on her lips.
...
As Mo Ming left the room, on the other side, it was closing time at Starry Rhythm Advertising Company. Murong Lian waited until all the staff had left before stepping out of her office with her laptop bag in hand, clearly intending to take her work home.
As she walked through the parking lot, Murong Lian felt as if someone was watching her from behind. Fear began to creep into her heart. She stopped and turned around suddenly but saw no one.
"Murong Lian, it's just your imagination; there's no one here!"
She reassured herself and remotely unlocked her car door. Just as she was about to get in and leave quickly, a piece of white cloth covered her mouth and nose. She tried to resist, but her body became increasingly uncontrollable until she lost consciousness.
The person who covered Murong Lian with the cloth was a tall and thin guy with a small head and a lanky frame that resembled a bamboo pole. Just as he was about to put Murong Lian into the car,
a young man rushed out from another direction—his face cold and fierce. The tall man attempted to flee by getting into the car but was forced back by a flying knife thrown by the young man. When he tried to get into the car again, the young man was already at his side.
The Tall Man swung a punch at the young man's face but was met with an even faster right hook that struck him squarely on the jaw, sending him crashing against the glass and leaving cracks in it.
Just as the young man aimed to finish off the Tall Man with another blow, an unexpected figure appeared out of nowhere to block him and charged at the young man instead. The speed was so fast that he had to quickly retreat.
The young man's expression remained cold as he assessed the sudden appearance of this figure—a scruffy-looking man who had rescued Yang Yuan and others from prison. At that moment, he wore a wicked smile while looking at the young man with interest.
"A-Shao, you take people to Hebrew; I'll deal with this one!"
The Tall Man said nothing and directly attempted to get into the car. A flash of murderous intent crossed the Stubbled Man's eyes as he rushed over to block him, but was stopped by the Stubbled Man. In a fit of rage, he threw a punch and shouted, "Get out of my way!"
"Kid, your opponent is me, not him. Heh heh, if you want to play, why don't I play with you?" The Stubbled Man did not dodge and directly countered with a punch, forcing the other back while he only took a step back to steady himself.
After that punch, the other felt a sharp pain in his fist, and his entire arm went numb. He raised an eyebrow but felt increasingly excited inside, extending his crimson tongue to lick his lips and said, "You're a master; I like that, hehe."
"Like?" The Stubbled Man was taken aback before bursting into wild laughter. "You might not like it soon enough. A-Shao, hurry up and finish your business; I'm enough to handle this here. I'll catch up with you later."
"Whether I like it or not will be known after we fight." The other was somewhat agitated, like a hungry person who suddenly saw food that could satisfy him. His eyes were filled with the same hunger!
A-Shao immediately got into Murong Lian's car, started the engine, and backed out before leaving. The other had no way to stop him because a strong figure was blocking his path.
"Kid, can I call you an idiot?" The Stubbled Man looked at the other's inexplicable excitement with a hint of mockery on his lips. "You're about to get beaten up; why are you so excited? Are you out of your mind?"
"You talk too much. I don't like chatter; I only like killing."
The already cold expression on the other's face turned even colder as his eyes filled with murderous intent. He stopped engaging in unnecessary conversation with the Stubbled Man and moved strangely toward him, while the Stubbled Man also charged forward.
"You have quite the attitude; just don’t know if you have what it takes."
The Stubbled Man's speed was clearly faster than the other's. Just as he swung his fist, the Stubbled Man landed a punch on his shoulder, causing him to stagger back a few steps. The Stubbled Man did not stop his assault and followed up with another kick.
The other hurriedly raised his hand to block it; his palm went numb and he couldn't counterattack. The Stubbled Man lifted his leg again for a side kick that was extremely fast. The other raised his shoulder to block it but was sent flying.
"Heh heh, you're too weak; you're simply no match for me." The Stubbled Man finally ceased his attack, a mocking smile appearing on his lips as he spoke to the other.
Indeed, in terms of both speed and strength, the Stubbled Man had the upper hand. The other had no chance to retaliate; it was evident that even during that day’s encounter with Mo Ming, he had not been this helpless.
However, there was no trace of fear in the other’s demeanor; his excitement remained undiminished as he coldly stood up and said, "Bring it on!"
"Ha ha, truly overestimating yourself. Do you really need me to beat you to death before you give up?" The Stubbled Man scoffed disdainfully. "But you are interesting; you can still get excited. So, I'll show some mercy and make sure you can't get excited anymore."
As he spoke, the Stubbled Man charged forward again at an incredible speed. Nüe did not dodge but engaged him in combat. Although he was not knocked down immediately, he found himself in a very awkward position.
"Interesting. You actually become stronger in battle; you're quite a good seedling. However, you're not following the right person," the Stubbled Man said, slightly surprised by Nüe's sudden improvement, genuinely praising him. "As long as you're willing to join us, I can guarantee you'll rise higher!"
"I told you, I don't like small talk!"
Nüe remained unmoved. While pursuing strength was important, beneath his cold exterior lay a heart full of gratitude. Liufeng had helped him, and no matter what, he could never betray Liufeng to ally with someone else.
Nüe snorted coldly and attempted a counterattack against the Stubbled Man, but it ended in failure. Instead, he was struck in the chest by a punch from the Stubbled Man and sent flying again, landing on the ground. A sweet taste filled his throat as blood welled up in his mouth; he let a bit trickle out but swallowed it back down.
Despite his injuries, Nüe felt no fear; instead, his excitement grew. He stood up and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with a fierce grin. "You have earned the right for me to remember your name. What is it?"
"Hahaha, you certainly have a way with words! I have earned the right for you to remember my name?" The Stubbled Man mocked. "But I never said you had the right to know my name. Kid, your skills are lacking, but your personality is sufficient. Unfortunately for you, today your life ends here."
"My life is right here; if you want it, come and take it!"
Before he finished speaking, Nüe narrowed his eyes slightly and then opened them wide again as he charged at the Stubbled Man once more. The Stubbled Man shook his head and said, "Truly stubborn; it seems you won't be afraid until you see your own coffin."
With that, the Stubbled Man launched another attack against Nüe. After forcing Nüe back with a punch, he quickly turned and delivered a spinning kick to Nüe's head, knocking him down to the ground. Then he kicked Nüe's abdomen hard, sending him flying far away.
"You are a terrifying fellow. If you continue to develop like this, we will have another enemy like Shura on our hands. Therefore, plans must change; today, you must die!"
In the Stubbled Man's eyes, there was finally a glint of killing intent. It seemed that he had not intended to kill Nüe earlier, but after witnessing Nüe's terrifying potential, he changed his mind and decided to eliminate him before he became fully powerful.
Now Nüe wanted to fight again but could not stand up; he was covered in wounds—both internal and external—with the main injury being internal damage. It felt as if two of his ribs had been broken in his chest, rendering him unable to move.
Just as the Stubbled Man was about to finish off Nüe, he sensed someone charging at him from behind. He couldn't pay attention to Nüe anymore and quickly turned around just in time to see several throwing knives flying toward him like meteors streaking across the night sky at high speed. The Stubbled Man hurriedly rolled aside to avoid them.
"Ah, you finally arrived. I thought I was really going to die," said the Torturer with a smile upon seeing the newcomer.
The newcomer was none other than Hunter Liufeng. He smiled lightly at the Torturer and said, "You really are reckless. Didn't I say you should wait for me before making a move?"
"Oh, I thought it was someone important. Turns out it's Hunter Liufeng. Hehe, I'm quite honored that my presence could attract such a big shot like you," the Stubbled Man said, a faint smile on his lips as he looked at Liufeng.
Liufeng sized up the Stubbled Man and asked, "Who are you?"
"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that today, you all must die here," the Stubbled Man replied with a sinister grin, his eyes flashing with murderous intent as he charged at Liufeng.
"Then we'll see if you have what it takes," Liufeng said with a chuckle as he met the charge. Both of them moved at similar speeds, their strikes swift and aimed to be lethal, yet neither could gain the upper hand.
The Stubbled Man sneered, "As expected of a Hunter; your progress is impressive. It seems that dealing with you is becoming somewhat difficult."
"It seems you care about me quite a bit. But sorry, I'm not into that," Liufeng teased. "I don't care who you are; if you want us dead here today, let's see if you have the capability."
"Hehe, I'll take back what I just said; your lives are safe for now," the Stubbled Man retreated explosively and coldly stated, "I mean temporarily safe. One day, I will come back for them. But I have other matters to attend to today, so I won't waste time with you!"
