The person who arrived was Mo Ming. Old Six's eyes instantly narrowed into a dangerous arc, and Fourth Brother along with several men in black reacted quickly, turning around to aim their guns at Mo Ming. However, a few gunshots rang out from the other side, accurately taking down two of the men in black.
In this situation, Fourth Brother and the others couldn't care less about Mo Ming; they quickly sought cover. Old Six fired several shots at the person with the handgun, but that individual had already taken cover.
Taking advantage of their momentary distraction, Mo Ming rushed in front of one of the men in black. His right hand shot out swiftly, gripping the man's neck tightly. The veins on his arm bulged as the man offered no resistance, blood pouring from his mouth.
"Ah Hong!" Fourth Brother cried out in anguish before unleashing a barrage of gunfire at Mo Ming. "Damn it! I'm going to kill you! You took my brother's life!"
From his reaction, it was clear that Ah Hong, who had died at Mo Ming's hands, was someone Fourth Brother was close to; otherwise, he wouldn't be so enraged. However, Mo Ming showed no mercy towards his enemies. As Fourth Brother reacted, he used Ah Hong's body as a shield against bullets and began to retreat.
The remaining men in black also aimed their guns at Mo Ming, but due to angles, the bullets couldn't reach him for now. However, they were closing in fast; if they lost sight of him for even a moment, Mo Ming would surely be unable to escape.
The firepower of the AK47 was fierce; a burst of gunfire turned Ah Hong into a sieve. Fourth Brother snapped back to reality from his rage and felt a sharp pain in his heart as he stopped shooting. "Stop shooting now!"
The men in black paused for a moment and ceased fire. Seizing the opportunity, Mo Ming crouched down behind some cover and retrieved the gun hanging from Ah Hong's neck. He quickly checked the magazine—only four bullets remained.
Mo Ming felt around Ah Hong's body and discovered there were no extra magazines. Annoyed, he muttered, "Damn it! Even as a robber, you're so poor; can't you have more than one magazine?"
Despite his complaints, Mo Ming remained calm and alert. He listened intently to the sounds around him and could faintly hear their footsteps growing louder.
The enemy moved quietly, clearly trained professionals; their footsteps were soft. Mo Ming could tell they were getting closer but couldn't pinpoint their exact location. If he faced them directly, it would undoubtedly turn into chaos.
Just when Mo Ming was at a loss for what to do, a soft female voice came from the other side: "Mo Ming, they're scattered..."
It was Ji Yue's voice!
In just that brief moment, gunfire erupted again, cutting off her words completely. Mo Ming frowned and dared not speak; he didn't want to reveal his position.
However, after the gunfire subsided, there was a muffled groan from Ji Yue's side—she had clearly been shot. It was uncertain how serious her injury was; even if she survived this time, she would likely be in grave danger since the enemy could easily approach and finish her off.
"Bang bang..." A few shots rang out from her direction before Ji Yue's voice came through again: "Don't worry about me; I'm fine—just a little hurt!"
Mo Ming cursed inwardly: "Idiot woman! How could you come here so recklessly? Is she trying to get herself killed by coming here alone?"
Suddenly, a faint sound of a gun's trigger being pulled after the last bullet reached Mo Ming's ears, signaling that the opponent had run out of ammunition.
"Fourth Brother, do you have any magazines left? I’m out!" Old Six's voice echoed in the room.
"We're out too. We fired too much earlier; damn it, we don't have enough bullets!" Fourth Brother cursed, "Damn Nanhua City, they check firearms so strictly that we can't even get decent weapons!"
Ji Yue seemed to want to seize the opportunity to take Old Six's life. Just as she stood up and aimed her gun at Old Six, he immediately threw his AK47 at her. Ji Yue was caught off guard and was hit on the hand, causing her to drop her gun on the ground.
Ji Yue initially wanted to grab the gun, but Old Six didn't give her a chance and quickly lunged at her. The two unarmed individuals began to fight…
"Now's our chance; their bullets are running low. If we fight back, we might still have a chance to survive!" This thought flashed through Mo Ming's mind. He gritted his teeth and exhaled lightly, a wild idea flooding his brain.
As a black-clad man approached Mo Ming, he leaped up. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of several figures in black and immediately fired four shots. It was a desperate act; if the opponent reacted quickly or if even one bullet missed, Mo Ming would undoubtedly die.
Due to his movement, the trajectory of the bullets was hard to control, and the hit rate was nearly at its lowest.
However, fortune favored him; as he arced through the air, he managed to hit the three closest black-clad men with three shots. Unfortunately, the last bullet did not hit Fourth Brother.
As a small leader of the Bloodthirsty Mercenaries, Fourth Brother was certainly much stronger. No matter how fast or fluid Mo Ming's movements were, Fourth Brother still shot at him relentlessly amidst a hail of bullets just as Mo Ming landed.
"Hiss!"
Mo Ming inhaled sharply, clutching the bloody gunshot wound on his arm. A wave of pain surged through his brain's nerves; however, he was somewhat fortunate that the bullet only grazed his shoulder instead of hitting his heart.
Footsteps approached. Mo Ming gritted his teeth against the pain in his shoulder and steadied himself, quietly waiting for Fourth Brother to come closer. He knew that there was only one chance to survive; if he reacted even slightly slower, he would likely lose his life here.
As Fourth Brother's footsteps drew near enough for Mo Ming to judge his position accurately, he suddenly charged out, quick-wittedly trying to control Fourth Brother’s weapon. Fourth Brother reacted swiftly; without thinking, he pulled the trigger fiercely.
"Click click..."
It must be said that Mo Ming's luck was extraordinary; at this critical moment, Fourth Brother’s gun was empty!
"Come and die!"
Mo Ming grinned ferociously, throwing a punch like a meteor, forcing Fourth Brother to retreat several steps.
"Hmph, after killing so many of my brothers, tonight, either you die or I die!"
Fourth Brother snorted coldly, swinging the AK47 as a weapon towards Mo Ming.
If he were to block it with his hand, his arm would at least be numb for a few seconds. In this situation, those few seconds could determine a person's life or death. Mo Ming was not foolish enough to take the attack head-on; instead, he skillfully dodged.
"Heh heh, if what you say is true, then this place will be your eternal resting place tonight, right?"
Fourth Brother's eyes widened in disbelief: "Impossible!"
That last attack did not force Mo Ming into a defensive stance. Instead, at the moment he dodged the strike, he bizarrely leaned against the gun's body and slipped through the small gap to close in, delivering a punch like a cannonball to Fourth Brother's abdomen.
Such an extreme attack was not easily executed. First, one needed to have strong mobility; second, precise judgment was essential. Lacking either could put oneself in an even more dangerous situation.
After receiving Mo Ming's punch, Fourth Brother staggered back a few steps but quickly steadied himself. However, Mo Ming did not give him a chance to catch his breath and charged forward again, unleashing another powerful punch that had been charged for some time.
"Hmph, I didn't expect someone so young could have such skills. We really underestimated you; otherwise, we should have taken you out in the dark back then!" Fourth Brother also threw a punch, clashing fists with Mo Ming.
From Fourth Brother's expression, it was clear that the impact caused him considerable pain. When his fist collided with Mo Ming's, it felt like hitting a thick steel plate—extremely hard—while Mo Ming's expression remained largely unchanged.
"Because of your underestimation, now you must pay the price with your life!"
A wicked smile crept across Mo Ming's lips as he delivered another heavy punch. After learning from previous lessons, Fourth Brother dared not clash directly again and quickly dodged, which only made Mo Ming's smile widen.
"This works perfectly for me!"
After missing his punch, Mo Ming intensified his assault—one punch followed by one kick—making it increasingly difficult for Fourth Brother to defend himself. He found no opportunity to counterattack and was completely overwhelmed as Mo Ming pressed the attack relentlessly.
"Dammit, this kid's speed and strength have reached a certain level. With my abilities, I probably won't last much longer."
Fourth Brother felt increasingly strained. Just as this thought crossed his mind, he noticed Mo Ming's punches becoming tighter, moving so fast that they left afterimages. Faced with the heavy punch coming straight at him, Fourth Brother extended his elbow to block it, but just as the fist was about to make contact, he suddenly pulled back.
"How about a punch to the face?"
Mo Ming quickly settled into a horse stance and unleashed a powerful hook that bypassed Fourth Brother's blocking elbow, striking him hard in the face. The punch was solid and packed a significant force.
After taking that single punch, Fourth Brother was knocked to the ground, instantly feeling as if his face had been deformed. A burning sensation washed over him, as if scalding hot water had been poured over him, and his head began to spin.
"Ah!"
Ji Yue let out a soft cry.
Mo Ming turned to see Ji Yue being kicked away by Old Six, her back slamming hard against the wall. The impact left her unable to stand. If it had just been the collision, Ji Yue might have managed to get back up, but after taking a kick from Old Six, who was seasoned from years of training with the Mercenaries, even Mo Ming would find it difficult to endure.
Old Six was ruthless and showed no signs of letting Ji Yue off easily. He moved closer and raised his foot to deliver another kick to her head. In such a dire situation, Ji Yue had no ability to resist; fear flashed through her mind before she hopelessly closed her eyes.
"Get lost!" At that moment, Mo Ming rushed over and delivered a flying kick to Old Six, pushing him back several steps. He then turned to Ji Yue and said, "What are you doing here as a woman? You're just causing trouble!"
