Hearing Xiaomei's words, Mo Ming followed her gaze and saw two women and one man walking in.
Among them, the girl who seemed to be of similar age to Fu Qingyun was likely the Yeh Jing Xiaomei mentioned. Yeh Jing had wine-red hair styled into a bun, wearing a black lace off-shoulder dress.
She was strikingly beautiful, with an oval face and delicate features resembling a fairy from a painting. Her heavily applied black eyeshadow was alluring, and her naturally long eyelashes were one of her prominent features.
As for the other woman, she was linked arm-in-arm with a tall man dressed in a black suit. The tight-fitting black strapless gown accentuated her graceful figure, with thin lips and a lovely face that carried a hint of coldness.
The tall man had a short ponytail and was slightly taller than Mo Ming. His physique was muscular but not overly bulky like a fitness trainer; it was just right. He had a resolute expression, with a hint of ruthlessness in his eyes, yet he wore a charming smile that felt somewhat out of place.
Mo Ming sensed an underlying sense of danger from the tall man. Frowning, he asked, "Yun'er, what’s the background of that Yeh Jing?"
"Hmph, that Yeh Jing is the daughter of Ye Buluo, the chairman of Ye Group. I can't stand her; she's so pretentious and annoying, always showing off," Fu Qingyun said with a displeased expression, her brows furrowed in distaste.
"Oh, so she's the princess of Ye Group. No wonder she looks good and has such an aura," Mo Ming nodded but noticed Fu Qingyun's somewhat resentful gaze. He immediately smiled wryly and said, "Don't look at me like that; I'm just stating the facts."
"Then who looks better between me and her?" Fu Qingyun huffed, clearly agitated.
Mo Ming thought for a moment; it seemed difficult to compare. He chuckled and shook his head, saying, "I wouldn't know; each has their own beauty."
Fu Qingyun stomped her foot in frustration and said, "Cousin-in-law, why are you turning your arm outward? Now you don't even support me; how am I supposed to save face later?"
"Uh, don't be angry. As long as you behave, Cousin-in-law will definitely help you save some face," Mo Ming replied with a bitter smile. "By the way, that tall guy must be your cousin-in-law, right?"
"Yes, that guy seems to be called Red Tiger—a wild man straight out of the jungle. Yeh Jing said that if Red Tiger hadn't saved her cousin back then, her cousin would have been eaten by wolves," Fu Qingyun glanced at Mo Ming with a hint of envy and asked, "Cousin-in-law, can you take down six wolves by yourself?"
"Uh... no, I've never taken down six wolves," Mo Ming shook his head with a wry smile.
No wonder he sensed a hint of danger from him; if someone could single-handedly take down six wolves without using a gun—only relying on cold weapons or bare hands—that strength was indeed formidable.
"Then how are you going to save face for me? My Cousin-in-law took down six wild wolves with just a dagger, really, why can't you take down six wild wolves too? Five would do..."
A hint of disappointment flashed in Fu Qingyun's eyes. She had thought she could show off tonight, but it turned out her Cousin-in-law didn't have any impressive feats to brag about.
Should she tell Yeh Jing that she didn't know her Cousin-in-law had fought off a few thugs to save her?
"I'm definitely going to embarrass myself again tonight. Why can't I ever compare to that little vixen Yeh Jing? It's so infuriating," Fu Qingyun thought anxiously, lightly biting her lip, her breath becoming slightly heavier.
Seeing Fu Qingyun like this, Mo Ming couldn't help but smile bitterly. He never expected this girl to be so competitive; it seemed like she had been overshadowed by Yeh Jing for quite a while.
"I haven't had the chance to deal with wild wolves, but how about tigers?"
Mo Ming's words stunned all the girls present. Taking down a tiger? That seemed impossible. Did he think he was Wu Song? Don't tell me he plans to take down a tiger with his bare hands.
However, Fu Qingyun believed him wholeheartedly. Her disappointed eyes immediately sparkled with hope as she cheerfully said, "That’s great! Tigers are much stronger than wild wolves. Cousin-in-law, I knew you were amazing!"
"Weren't you just disappointed in me?" Mo Ming said with a wry smile.
"No way! I've always believed you were incredible, really." Fu Qingyun nodded earnestly. Worried that Mo Ming might not believe her, she added, "It's more real than gold."
Xiaoya laughed and said, "Xiaoyun, that little vixen is coming over."
Yeh Jing was dragging her Cousin-in-law Red Tiger over. It was clear that Red Tiger wasn't doing this willingly, but his expression showed some resignation.
When they reached this spot, Red Tiger noticed Mo Ming nearby and his gaze instantly turned sharp. Mo Ming remained unfazed, merely offering a friendly smile.
"This young man is not simple; he definitely isn't as weak as he looks on the surface. Otherwise, why would I sense a beastly aura from him?" Red Tiger thought as he scrutinized Mo Ming.
Yeh Jing smiled sarcastically, casting a dismissive glance at Mo Ming before saying with a grin, "Fu Qingyun, didn't you say your Cousin-in-law is amazing? How come I can't see what's so impressive about him?"
"You're so impressive, Cousin-in-law. I can't see what's so great about you. Simple-minded and strong, what’s there to be proud of?" Fu Qingyun glanced at Red Tiger defiantly, letting out a cold snort with a hint of disdain.
Red Tiger, however, paid no mind to Fu Qingyun's words. A slight smile appeared on his lips as he extended his hand to greet Mo Ming. "Hello, I'm Red Tiger."
"Mo Ming," Mo Ming replied, shaking hands with Red Tiger.
Yeh Jing pulled Red Tiger closer, her tone laced with provocation. "My Cousin-in-law has an IQ of 180, hmph! Not simple-minded at all. My Cousin-in-law single-handedly killed six wild wolves to save my cousin! What can your Cousin-in-law compare to that?"
Sure enough, she immediately brought up that incident.
"Hmph, having a high IQ is impressive? My Cousin-in-law also has an IQ over 180, higher than yours! And killing six wild wolves? My Cousin-in-law wouldn't even bother with wolves; he took down a tiger directly!"
Faced with Yeh Jing's taunting remarks, Fu Qingyun felt her blood pressure rising. She was just saying whatever came to mind; claiming an IQ over 180 was purely for the sake of not losing to Yeh Jing.
However, this did shock Mo Ming. An IQ over 180 was indeed plausible; from the various skills he possessed, it was clear. But it was surprising that this girl could guess it right!
Red Tiger was equally astonished by Fu Qingyun's claim. Having experienced countless jungle adventures, he knew how terrifying a tiger could be. He never expected that the frail-looking youth before him could take down a tiger; this genuinely earned his respect.
What surprised Red Tiger even more was that when he heard this, he believed it without a doubt.
"Go ahead and brag; tigers aren't so easy to kill. No one saw it happen; you're just talking nonsense. I don't believe you," Yeh Jing crossed her arms defiantly and said, "I think your Cousin-in-law lacks the ability."
"Then if you say your Cousin-in-law killed six wild wolves, I don't believe that either!" Fu Qingyun retorted angrily.
Yeh Jing scoffed, "You're just a stubborn duck; that incident was witnessed by my cousin herself!"
"You..." Fu Qingyun found herself at a loss for words and looked at Mo Ming with a hint of sorrow. "Cousin-in-law, was there anyone who saw you take down the tiger?"
Mo Ming shook his head with a wry smile.
When I first encountered the tiger, it was during a mission in the African Savanna. I was alone and came across a tiger that hadn't eaten for several days, and I almost became its meal. Fortunately, I was strong enough to take it down instead.
However, there were no witnesses.
Yeh Jing smiled proudly and said, "See? I told you your Cousin-in-law was bragging. No one saw it; who would believe that?"
"Jing'er, don't be so rude," Red Tiger reprimanded her, then turned to Mo Ming with a smile. "Brother, please don't mind her. This little girl has been spoiled by her cousin and can be a bit arrogant. If she offended you, I apologize."
Mo Ming shrugged it off and said, "No need to apologize. The little girls are just competing with each other; I didn't take it to heart."
"Hmph, you talk so grandly but are just someone who can only deceive little girls," Yeh Jing sneered. "Fu Qingyun, you lost tonight; you'll never surpass me in this lifetime."
Upon hearing this, a hint of disgust flashed in Mo Ming's eyes. Just as Fu Qingyun raised her hand to point at Yeh Jing and was about to speak, Mo Ming smiled and said, "I may not have a witness, but I do have evidence."
"Don't bring out something like tiger teeth; anyone with money can get those. I won't believe it," Yeh Jing mocked.
Red Tiger was somewhat displeased and scolded, "Enough, Jing'er! Your words are getting more outrageous. I'll have your cousin teach you a lesson later."
"I didn't leave behind any tiger teeth, but I do have claw marks," Mo Ming said with a cold smile as he rolled up his sleeve to reveal his muscular arm, showing a deep scratch.
There were four large claw marks that looked quite alarming. It was hard to imagine how terrifying it must have been at the time. The young girls felt a bit scared; they could only imagine how painful those claw marks must have been.
"Who knows if this is from a tiger..."
Yeh Jing was initially frightened but still refused to back down. She wanted to argue that the claw marks weren't from a tiger when Red Tiger interrupted her.
"Brother, you're truly impressive! Red Tiger genuinely admires you. You look young but managed to take down a tiger; that's incredible." Red Tiger knew quite a bit about tigers and recognized the claw marks immediately.
Yeh Jing was stunned and asked, "Cousin-in-law, are you serious?"
Red Tiger nodded and said, "Really."
Initially feeling like his lungs were about to explode, Fu Qingyun immediately felt pleased, smiled, and said, "I told you my Cousin-in-law is amazing, but you didn't believe me. Now you know the truth; can your Cousin-in-law really kill a tiger?"
"Cousin-in-law..." Yeh Jing called out.
Red Tiger quickly shook his head and smiled wryly, saying, "Don't look at me; tigers are very fierce animals, and I wouldn't dare provoke one."
Indeed, who would want to provoke such a terrifying creature? Mo Ming had only done so out of necessity; if you didn't kill it, you'd have to face death yourself.
Knowing he had lost this point, Yeh Jing still felt unconvinced and snorted coldly, "So what if you killed a tiger? Didn't you say your Cousin-in-law is all-powerful?"
"That's right! What do you want to do about it?" Fu Qingyun said proudly. After the earlier incident, Mo Ming had already given her enough confidence, and now she spoke with a bit of bravado.
"There’s a competition on Sunday at Panlong Road. Are you brave enough to let your Cousin-in-law participate?" Yeh Jing said with a teasing smile. "My Cousin-in-law loves racing and has pretty good skills!"
Initially thinking that Yeh Jing would say something else, upon hearing this, a group of girls who were friendly with Fu Qingyun burst into laughter.
