Mo Ming left Panlong Road and returned to Nanhua City via the highway. 0

This time, he only managed to tend to his wounds a little on the way back; otherwise, he would have bled to death before Sito Hai could finish him off. 0

It seemed unlikely that Mo Ming could return to Murong Wei's Hillside Mansion. Sito Hai harbored such deep hatred for him that he would surely not let him go. There must already be someone watching Murong Wei's place, and returning there would definitely lead to being discovered by Sito Hai. 0

Given Murong Wei's status and influence, the Little Green Society would likely give her some face. However, since the Little Green Society was a criminal organization, Mo Ming didn't want Murong Wei to offend them on his behalf, so he decided not to rely on her connections. 0

He realized that he had to resolve tonight's issues on his own. After thinking for a moment, he didn't call anyone but sent a text message to Lin Yuan'er and Murong Lian to let them know he was safe. He then turned off his phone; Mo Ming feared nothing except for women nagging him. 0

"Even though Sito Hai doesn't know my whereabouts, he should be able to guess that I would come back. I definitely can't stay at a hotel; the Little Green Society's lackeys will be searching everywhere." Mo Ming thought calmly for a moment before making up his mind. "Right, Mo Qianqian lives alone; I think I can trust her." 0

Thinking of Mo Qianqian, he realized he had no ties with her. Even if Sito Hai was keeping an eye on everyone, he probably wouldn't suspect Mo Qianqian. With that in mind, Mo Ming quickly called her. 0

As soon as the call connected, a lazy yet slightly angry voice came through: "Who is it? It's the middle of the night; can't you let people sleep?" 0

"Mo Qianqian, it's me." 0

Upon hearing this, the other side seemed to wake up immediately. 0

"Mo Ming! What the hell? Dude, are you serious? It's the middle of the night, and you're thinking about food? Don't even think about it! I might as well give up my account. Alright, I'm hanging up..." 0

Mo Qianqian thought Mo Ming was calling just for a late-night meal. After rambling on for quite a bit without letting him speak, she hung up on him. Mo Ming felt frustrated; this woman's beauty sleep seemed to conquer everything—even her gaming account. 0

"You've got some nerve, Mo Qianqian! Just wait for me; I'm heading to your place right now!" Mo Ming's wounded pride took another hit as he immediately drove straight to where Mo Qianqian lived. 0

Fortunately, when Mo Ming hacked into Mo Qianqian's computer last time, he had recorded her address; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to find her. 0

At the bottom of Mo Qianqian's building, it was pitch black all around. Only a few doors had lights on in the entire residential building; everyone else was asleep at this hour. Mo Qianqian lived on the sixth floor, and there were no lights on there either. 0

Mo Ming surveyed his surroundings before getting out of the car. Covering his wound, he began climbing the stairs... Well, it was a tall building with only stairs and no elevator, and all the lights in the hallway were broken. Mo Ming had no choice but to feel his way up in the dark. 0

After climbing six floors with an injury, Mo Ming gasped several times, the wound causing him to wince in pain, making cold sweat bead on his forehead. In the stillness of the night, even a sneeze felt loud, and he didn’t want to disturb anyone in the building, so he had to endure the pain in silence. 0

At that moment, if he knocked on the door, Mo Qianqian would definitely not open it; she might even call the police. Mo Ming did not want to end up in detention, so he planned to take a risk and sneak in through the balcony. 0

He had already noticed this when he entered earlier. 0

In this building, each three-bedroom apartment had a master bedroom with a balcony directly across from a hallway. This meant that as one ascended each floor from the staircase, there was a landing where the balconies of each apartment were not far apart. 0

Mo Qianqian's balcony was left open, so Mo Ming intended to jump from the hallway onto her balcony. 0

It seemed crazy, but once he thought about it, he went ahead and did it. 0

Knowing that a direct jump wouldn’t reach the balcony, Mo Ming went up to the seventh floor. Without hesitation, he took a running start, his eyes fixed ahead as he stepped onto the railing and propelled himself toward the sixth floor—toward Mo Qianqian's balcony. 0

It was important to note that there was almost an empty space in between; if he fell, it would be like jumping from the sixth floor. Even seasoned thieves wouldn’t take such dangerous risks for a quick gain. 0

However, Mo Ming remained remarkably calm in this perilous situation. His eyes reflected a composure that couldn’t be feigned; only he knew whether he was afraid of dying. Regardless, he successfully leaped onto Mo Qianqian's balcony. 0

The landing caused a jolt that intensified the pain in his injured arm, prompting him to stifle a groan as he pressed his hand against it and noticed blood seeping out again. 0

With no time to think further, Mo Ming opened a sheer screen door and quietly stepped inside. Mo Qianqian was still fast asleep and showed no signs of having noticed anything. Just as Mo Ming approached her… 0

“Ah! You filthy thief!” Mo Qianqian exclaimed in panic as she jumped up from her bed, grabbing a pillow and swinging it fiercely at him while shouting, “You pervert! Stealing is one thing! You think you can violate me… I’ll tell you—I’ve already called the police! They’ll be here soon!” 0

“Enough already, Miss!” Mo Ming replied somewhat exasperatedly. “If you keep yelling like that, you’ll wake up all the neighbors.” 0

Upon hearing his voice, Mo Qianqian paused and quickly turned on the light. The sudden brightness startled both of them for a moment before they adjusted. Mo Ming grimaced while holding his arm; once she recognized him clearly, Mo Qianqian still felt uneasy and asked, “Mo Ming, what are you doing sneaking into my house at this hour?” 0

As she spoke, she hugged herself tightly, wary of what Mo Ming might do. 0

“What do you think I’m here for?” Mo Ming extended his bloodied hand and said, “Take a good look; I’m injured! What bad thing could I possibly do? I just ran into some trouble and wanted to hide out here for a bit.” 0

"Uh... What happened to you? How did you get hurt so badly?" 0

Mo Qianqian finally noticed that Mo Ming was injured. His right sleeve was stained dark red with blood, and there were two black holes. Even though she couldn't see the wounds inside, her heart trembled a little. 0

"Someone shot me with two bullets. It's nothing. Do you have a fruit knife or something? I need to clean the wound," Mo Ming said as he started to take off his jacket, which immediately led to a misunderstanding for Mo Qianqian. 0

"What are you doing? You're injured and still thinking about doing something bad?" 0

"What bad thing? Hurry up and find me some scissors! Miss, do you want me to die in your house?" Mo Ming replied, feeling exasperated. 0

"Oh, I have scissors and a fruit knife. I'll get them for you now." 0

Realizing her mistake, Mo Qianqian hurriedly jumped off the bed and went to the living room to look for something. Mo Ming followed silently behind her. She found a pair of scissors in the drawer of the table and handed them to Mo Ming, saying, "Here you go, this is the scissors you wanted." 0

"Do you have a first aid kit?" Mo Ming asked as he took the scissors. 0

"I don't have any other medicines here, but I do have anti-inflammatory medicine and bandages. I think it's better for you to go to a proper hospital. If the wound gets infected, even Hua Tuo won't be able to save you," Mo Qianqian said as she glanced at Mo Ming before rushing back to her room to get the first aid kit. 0

"Come on, I'm being hunted right now! Going to the hospital is like going to my death," Mo Ming joked while using the scissors to cut open his clothes. "Besides, who knows if Hua Tuo is even alive? How can he save anyone?" 0

"You really surprise me every time I see you; you always leave me in awe!" Mo Qianqian said as she took out the first aid kit and placed it in front of Mo Ming, adding irritably, "The first time I met you, I thought you were a perverted teenager; the second time, you were a mysterious hacker; and now for the third time, you're playing the role of a fugitive. Good job! Your life is really exciting!" 0

Mo Ming didn't respond. Due to excessive blood loss, his face was pale as he handed the blood-stained scissors back to Mo Qianqian, causing her to step back in fright. "Hey, what are you doing? I've taken you in; are you going to kill me just because I said a few words?" 0

"Who said I'm going to kill you? Idiot! I need you to help me cut this shirt!" Mo Ming shot her an annoyed look. 0

Reluctantly, Mo Qianqian took the scissors from him. The crimson blood on the handle made her feel nauseous, but she didn't hesitate too much. With one swift motion, she cut through the sleeve of Mo Ming's jacket, revealing his shirt underneath. Then she cut through the shirt sleeve as well before quickly tossing aside the scissors and heading to wash her hands. 0

"Could you also find me some candles and towels?" 0

At this moment, Mo Ming had already removed his upper clothing, revealing a solid yet not overly muscular body covered in scars from knife wounds and gunshots—old scars layered beneath new ones—making it a heart-wrenching sight. 0

"Here’s a towel for you..." Mo Qianqian was completely stunned when she saw Mo Ming's upper body. What had this boy gone through? His entire body was covered in scars. Looking at his bloody right arm made her feel pain just by watching. 0

Mo Ming took out his lighter, lit a candle, and placed it on the ground. After heating a fruit knife over the flame for a while, he handed it to Mo Qianqian and said, "You do it. Help me take the bullet out from inside!" 0

"No, no way! That's too terrifying; I can't do it." Mo Qianqian trembled all over, shaking her hands as she said, "Forget it. I can't handle this. What if my hands shake and I end up cutting you even more?" 0

"Do whatever you want; if you want to cut me, then cut me. I can't stand having something stuck inside my body!" 0

Mo Ming forcefully shoved the knife into Mo Qianqian's hands and then bit down on the towel, waiting for her to act. After taking the knife, Mo Qianqian's hands trembled slightly as she softly asked, "Do I really have to do this?" 0

Mo Ming nodded. 0

"Alright, bear with it. If it hurts, just tell me, and I'll stop immediately." Mo Qianqian bit her lip and steeled herself, saying, "I'm really going to do this. If I end up hurting you badly, don't come looking for me." 0

With that, Mo Qianqian began to act. Still feeling some fear inside her, she held the knife unsteadily. Each cut made Mo Ming shudder in pain... 0
