As Mo Ming was about to catch up, unexpectedly, Mo Ming suddenly drifted and turned, creating distance again. Sito Hai didn't notice the bend and nearly crashed; fortunately, he reacted quickly and desperately turned the steering wheel to avoid disaster, though his car still left a mark on the guardrail.
"Damn it, he escaped again!" Sito Hai exclaimed in frustration, honking the horn repeatedly as he accelerated to chase after Mo Ming. After multiple attempts that allowed Mo Ming to get away, Sito Hai was furious and wished he could crush Mo Ming into dust.
Perhaps due to the winding nature of Panlong Road, some of Sito Hai's underlings were too scared to drive too fast, which left them far behind. At this point, Mo Ming had once again escaped far away, and there was no sign of Sito Hai in the rearview mirror.
"That was close; it's really thanks to the terrain of Panlong Road. Otherwise, Sito Hai would have crashed down the mountain," Mo Ming muttered with a slight smirk, taking a deep breath. The sharp maneuvers he had just executed caused his wound to reopen slightly, mixing blood with sweat and making the injury sting painfully.
Yet this little pain seemed insufficient to make Mo Ming give in. He gritted his teeth against the pain and swung his arm for another drift. As he turned a corner, the movement aggravated his wound, causing him to nearly lose grip on the wheel.
At that moment, Mo Ming had only one thought: to shake off Sito Hai, find a place to tend to his injuries, and then return to settle the score.
"Though you are the local tyrant of Nanhua City, Little Green Society, I am not afraid of you. If no one provokes me, I won't provoke anyone. But if someone does provoke me, I will definitely retaliate. Sito Hai, you will pay for what you did today!"
Under Mo Ming's control, the car sped along like a bolt of lightning, leaving everything behind as if on a roller coaster. If anyone else were driving so fast on such narrow and winding mountain roads, they would have scared themselves to death by now.
Vroom... Vroom...
Mo Ming could faintly hear a powerful engine sound; however, it wasn't coming from behind him. Just as he turned another corner, he saw red taillights ahead.
He recalled seeing two sports cars racing down the slope earlier. To his surprise, despite his own high speed, the other cars were impressive enough to keep up for so long before he finally spotted them.
At this moment, aside from someone like Mo Ming, who was fleeing, only mountain road racers would be driving that fast.
"No wonder someone tried to block my car earlier; there's a race here tonight! I thought I was giving credit to Sito Hai for being insightful by waiting for me so far ahead; turns out I was mistaken!" As he moved his arm again, the sharp pain from his injury felt like stars twinkling in agony, making him grimace and lose his composure.
The two racers ahead included He Yunsong, known as Yun Song, who had been mentioned by Jordan. He had short hair and an exceptionally handsome face but with sharp eyes. When he noticed a new BMW behind him, surprise flickered in his eyes before his expression turned serious.
It was important to note that this car had cost a lot of money to modify for mountain racing. Only a few cars in all of Nanhua City could compare with it. Moreover, when it came to driving skills, if he claimed second place, no one would dare claim first.
When the race just started, he had not seen the BMW behind him, which indicated that the driver had started later. The fact that they could catch up later showed that the driver's skills were impressive.
"Oumengqi, can you see who is driving the BMW behind us?" He Yunsong suddenly became curious about the mysterious racer and communicated with the driver following closely behind through the radio.
The vehicle closely trailing He Yunsong belonged to one of the few cars in Nanhua City, and the person inside was Oumengqi, the daughter of O Zheng, the chairman of Seaview Grand Hotel.
Oumengqi had shoulder-length black hair, which she had pinned back behind her ears. Her complexion was flawless and pale, resembling white jade, stunningly beautiful. Tonight, she wore a sleeveless cream-colored jumpsuit paired with tall black boots, making her look even more charming.
The fact that she could keep up with He Yunsong indicated her exceptional driving skills.
He Yunsong and Oumengqi shared a special relationship; they were a couple. Their mutual love for Panlong Circuit earned them the nickname "The Divine Couple of Panlong Road."
Tonight's race was due to Oumengqi's promise to He Yunsong: if she couldn't beat him, she would accept his marriage proposal.
Oumengqi was also quite curious about the mysterious vehicle behind them. Who could have such skill to follow them so closely? She glanced in the rearview mirror several times but couldn't get a clear look due to the high speed and blinding lights.
When she heard He Yunsong's question, she shook her head and replied, "I can't see clearly, but it seems I've never seen that car before. I wonder if it's someone from out of town here for fun."
"Oh, tonight's race is getting interesting. Be careful, Oumengqi; I think the vehicle behind might overtake you," He Yunsong said playfully. Although it sounded like a joke, he wasn't entirely confident himself; he still didn't know why that mysterious driver was tailing them.
"Please, stop joking. After a few turns, I'll easily shake them off and then overtake you! Besides, I don't want to head to the grave just yet," Oumengqi replied dismissively.
Meanwhile, Mo Ming had no idea about the two ahead of him and wasn't in the mood to care because he saw headlights lighting up in his rearview mirror; it seemed another car had joined the chase.
Currently, Mo Ming was on a straight road while He Yunsong and Oumengqi's vehicles gradually pulled away from him. The car behind was also closing in, causing Mo Ming's expression to change in surprise.
"Wow, Sito Hai really won't let go, clinging to my tail like a dog. I've truly offended a mad dog this time," Mo Ming said with a bitter smile. His face had turned pale from blood loss, and his arm was starting to feel cold.
Boom...
Sito Hai's car suddenly approached Mo Ming. Through the rearview mirror, Mo Ming could clearly see Sito Hai's fierce expression. A strange smile suddenly appeared at the corner of Sito Hai's mouth as he lightly uttered two words.
"Die."
Bang...
Sito Hai's car violently collided with the rear of Mo Ming's vehicle. Due to the high speeds of both cars, Mo Ming's vehicle began to skid, its rear swaying uncontrollably. In this situation, Mo Ming could only endure the pain from his bleeding arm and forcefully stabilize the vehicle to continue fleeing.
"Damn it, you really are like a cockroach reincarnated; how can you still be alive after that?" Sito Hai felt frustrated when the collision yielded no results and quickly pursued again.
He Yunsong and Xia Mengqi had already noticed another sports car behind them. Initially curious, He Yunsong suddenly exploded in anger and contacted Jordan over the radio, scolding, "What the hell are you doing? I told you to keep an eye out and not let any vehicles in, but you let two in! Are you trying to get me killed?"
"Yun... Yunsong, I'm sorry, I couldn't stop them; they were too fast and didn't care about crashing," Jordan stammered, incredulous. "No, no, no way! They... actually caught up to you?"
"Yeah, they're right on my tail but can't catch up for now. Jordan, do you know who is driving those two cars behind us?" He Yunsong asked with a frown.
"One of them is Sito Hai; I don't know the other one, but it seems like Sito Hai is chasing that person," Jordan quickly replied.
"Got it. Keep your eyes peeled and don't let anyone else in."
He Yunsong hung up the radio with a blank expression, deep in thought.
Logically speaking, Sito Hai's sports car and driving skills weren't that impressive. It was strange that he could keep up tonight; perhaps only Mo Ming knew that Sito Hai's exceptional driving skills were fueled by his own provocation of Sito Hai's anger.
He Yunsong was also curious. Given Sito Hai's status, it would be easy for him to kill someone. In this vast Nanhua City, there probably wasn't anyone who could escape his grasp. Yet now Sito Hai was pursuing him across great distances; this person's identity must be significant.
After passing the straight runway, Panlong Road was nearing its end, with the final stretch known as the Continuous Lightning Curves, famously dubbed the Death Road. After navigating the Continuous Lightning Curves and making a turn down the "9" shaped slope, they would reach Panlong Road.
One should not underestimate the series of lightning curves; here, vehicles cannot go too fast due to the excessive sand and gravel, which makes traction unstable. Going too quickly can easily lead to skidding and potentially result in disaster.
Upon reaching this point, He Yunsong and Oumengqi, both seasoned racers, immediately slowed down to avoid any accidents. However, Mo Ming was different; he loved these curves and maintained his speed as he charged into the Death Road.
Due to Mo Ming's lack of familiarity with this road, as he entered at high speed, his vehicle began to skid slightly. Fortunately, he managed to control it well enough and reduced his speed just enough to stabilize.
"CA, you scared me to death! This road is so winding and has so much fine sand and gravel; are they trying to kill me?"
When this road was originally constructed, it was unclear whether strange feng shui considerations were taken into account, resulting in its current form. There have been numerous accidents here, leading Nanhua City to explicitly prohibit vehicles from accessing it. Yet, those who love racing are particularly fond of this place and often come here to play.
Sito Hai was aware of the road's peculiarities and noticeably slowed down, gradually creating distance between himself and Mo Ming. Meanwhile, Mo Ming's reckless driving caused his vehicle to sway dangerously as he navigated several curves before catching up to Oumengqi's car.
"What! Is this guy out of his mind?" Oumengqi couldn't help but be surprised.
Even as he got closer to Oumengqi's car, Mo Ming had no intention of letting off the gas. He pressed down on the accelerator and took advantage of a small gap that Oumengqi created while turning. In a bizarre maneuver, he closely brushed against the guardrail and overtook Oumengqi at an astonishing speed. After navigating a few more curves, he drew near He Yunsong.
"That's really scary! Driving so fast while swaying around like that—aren't you afraid of skidding off into the cliff?" He Yunsong noticed Mo Ming catching up and was initially startled but soon found it amusing. He chuckled and said, "Hmph, bring it on! I don't believe you can catch up to me!"
