Ye Chuanze held a bloodied sword, his gaze as cold as ice fixed on the corpse of the Demon Lord lying on the ground. Suddenly, he turned around, his deep, star-like eyes looking at Dark Crow, who had been standing silently beside him the whole time, and said, "Did you not say you would protect me? Is this what you call protection?" 0

Dark Crow was not surprised by Ye Chuanze's sudden outburst. After spending time together, he knew well that Ye Chuanze was not a person with a good temper. "When the time comes for me to act, I will naturally do so," Dark Crow replied. 0

Hearing this, Ye Chuanze sneered mockingly, casting a disdainful glance at him and said, "What a loyal dog you are!" 0

Dark Crow remained silent after hearing this, continuing to follow Ye Chuanze as he always did. 0

Ye Chuanze understood that Dark Crow was inherently taciturn and reluctant to say much, yet he had an undeniable presence that made it hard to ignore him. What an unlikable person! Ye Chuanze thought. He suddenly felt disinterested and had no desire to wander around anymore, so he turned back. Dark Crow continued to follow closely behind him like a shadow. 0

As Ye Chuanze walked ahead, Dark Crow followed in silence. The atmosphere was quiet and still; neither of them spoke, and the surroundings were eerily silent, with not even a whisper of wind. 0

Suddenly, Ye Chuanze asked, "Have I seen you somewhere before? You seem very familiar." 0

Dark Crow paused for a moment and after a long while replied slowly, "Since I arrived in the Demon Realm, I have never left." 0

"Oh? Is that so? Then I must be mistaken," Ye Chuanze said. 0

Ye Chuanze's words were merely casual remarks; he did not pay much attention to them. Seeing that Dark Crow did not confirm it, he took it as a denial and assumed it was his own illusion. However, he did not notice the complex expression on Dark Crow's face behind him. 0

This person has already forgotten you; what are you still clinging to? Dark Crow told himself in his heart. 0

At this point, even Dark Crow himself did not know what he was clinging to. The once intense desire had long been worn down over the years; he had forgotten his initial obsession. All strong emotions would be corroded by time. Only that once heart-stirring feeling remained vividly present, constantly reminding him of his past fervent longing. 0

Dark Crow could not help but reach out to touch the area over his heart. That once violently beating heart because of this person made him realize that he was still alive; he still had a heartbeat and strong emotions, not just a walking corpse. 0

Regret? 0

Many years after arriving in the Demon Realm, after a long and endless wait year after year, the person he had been waiting for never appeared. He had once asked himself, do I regret it? Regretting choosing such a lonely and bloody path for someone untouchable, do I regret it? 0

No, he does not regret it. 0

Dark Crow thought that if given another choice, he would still walk the same path. He only wanted to see that person again; no, just seeing him was not enough. He wanted to follow behind him, watching him at all times, just like now. 0

Just like now, when he could look up and see him. 0

As long as he reached out, he could touch him. 0

He was right in front of him, within reach, not so far away. 0

The once long and hopeless wait drove Dark Crow into madness. He rampaged through the Demon Realm, killing indiscriminately; blood and bones piled up to form his palace. He sat on a throne made of white bones, drinking the blood of his enemies while watching the demons revel below. He felt an emptiness in his heart, as if a piece was missing, leaving behind an unfillable black hole. 0

He began to forget, forgetting his initial obsession. 0

Like those demons in the Demon Realm, forgetting themselves and ultimately becoming mere killing machines. 0

Until that man appeared. 0

The powerful man who was impossible to resist, ruling over the entire Demon Domain, revered by all demons as Demon Ancestor. 0

"Do you remember how you became a demon?" the man said. 0

Upon hearing this, Dark Crow froze in place. 0

"Seems like you're not beyond saving yet." The man looked at him with a dazed expression and smiled slightly. 0

"Come with me, I can help you achieve your desires. The person you've been waiting for will eventually appear before you," he said confidently with a smile. 0

Thus, Dark Crow was taken away by Rahul, following him into battles and slaughter for tens of thousands of years. 0

It must be said that ever since Rahul was NTR'd by Hongjun and took Ye Chuanze away, his skills in deception and manipulation had increased significantly. It truly is a sad story! 0

********* 0

Months passed, and more challengers came to die under Ye Chuanze's sword. 0

His infamous reputation gradually spread, yet the challengers did not cease their attempts. 0

The demon realm was like this; each one was a warlike demon, bloodthirsty and cruel. Death was everywhere, and life seemed so cheap in this place. 0

Ye Chuanze also seemed to have assimilated into such a simple yet brutal world; his inherent cold-blooded cruelty was laid bare without concealment. He began to kill without hesitation, like a demon. 0

Yes, like a demon. 0

Ye Chuanze did not realize that he was now no different from the demons of the demon realm. 0

Rather than assimilation, it was more accurate to say it was his true nature. Born from the violent energies of heaven and earth, the Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus could only be suppressed for so long by the supreme Taoist techniques—how long could its inherent malice be contained? 0

What Rahul did was merely draw out his true nature, nothing more. 0

In the cold palace, Ye Chuanze leaned crookedly against a soft couch, dressed only in a black garment. His black hair was held up by a single hairpin, with loose strands scattered messily across the couch. His sharp brows and eyes were cold and deep without a hint of light; his expression was filled with malice, making his handsome features appear harsh. 0

It is truly dangerous yet captivating! 0

"Did you hear that Rahul is back?" Ye Chuanze spoke up. 0

"Master returned last night," Dark Crow, who was standing nearby, said. 0

"Back... just in time!" Ye Chuanze replied coldly, then stood up and left the palace, heading towards Rahul's location. 0

Ye Chuanze arrived outside Rahul's chamber, moving smoothly past the guards. The Demon Soldier at the gate saw him but pretended not to notice. He kicked open the large door of the chamber and walked in. 0

"You've come," Rahul said, lying on a soft couch, turning his head at the sound, his expression showing no surprise. 0

Ye Chuanze cast a cold glance at him. Rahul's upper body was bare, with a wound on his left shoulder wrapped in white cloth, but blood continued to seep through, staining the white fabric red. In all the world, who could have injured him besides his master? 0

Rahul lay lazily on the couch and said, "You're just in time; come watch with me. The Primordial realm is quite lively now!" 0

Hearing this, Ye Chuanze looked over and saw a stand in front of Rahul with a mirror placed on it. This mirror appeared to be a magical artifact capable of viewing the three realms; Hongjun had one just like it. 0

How utterly despicable! These so-called supreme beings of the Primordial realm are all peeping toms! Addicted to voyeurism! Ye Chuanze was extremely displeased with this situation because unfortunately, he was the one being spied upon! 0

Seeing him standing still, Rahul beckoned, "Come over; you'll find it interesting." 0

At this, Ye Chuanze pressed his lips together and walked over. 0

His gaze turned to the mirror, which displayed scenes from the Primordial Land. 0

The sky was filled with yellow sand under a blazing sun; the vast Primordial Land was currently echoing with the sounds of war drums. 0

The battle between the Lich Clans raged on, blood staining the ground as bodies fell one after another. The Witch Clan formed the Twelve Heavenly Fiends Formation, while the demon race set up the Zhou Tian Star Dou Formation to counter it, their fighting spirit soaring and killing intent overwhelming! 0

In the Lich Clans, a single battle would determine the fate of the world! 0

Ye Chuanze watched scene after scene of the Lich conflict unfold in the mirror, familiar figures appearing one after another, his brow furrowing deeper. So, while he was trapped in the Demon Realm, the Lich Clans had already begun their decisive battle! 0

He frowned tightly, observing the battle of the Lich Clans in the mirror. Although he had already anticipated the outcome, he still refused to miss any detail of the two clans' conflict. He saw the Witch Clan's Twelve Heavenly Fiends Formation being broken, Houtu transforming into the Six Paths. One of the Twelve Ancestor Witches was missing; that great witch who had received Houtu's essence blood could not compare to Houtu herself, making it inevitable that this formation would eventually fall. 0

With the Witch Clan's Twelve Heavenly Fiends Formation shattered and the substitute great witch perishing, the remaining eleven Ancestral Shamans combined their strength to break through the demon race's Zhou Tian Star Dou Formation. The eleven Ancestral Shamans engaged in a fierce battle with Demon Emperor Di Jun, Eastern Emperor Taiyi, and the Great Sage of the demon race. 0

Ye Chuanze's expression grew increasingly grim as he watched. When he saw Fuxi, clad in white and playing a zither to meet the enemy with its music, his face changed dramatically. That fool! Wasn't he told to stay hidden? He had never seen anyone so eager to seek death! 0

Seeing Fuxi appear on the battlefield of the Lich's decisive battle filled Ye Chuanze with both anger and frustration. With a cold expression, he turned and left. 0

Rahul did not stop him but instead wore a malicious smile as he watched him depart. 0

As Ye Chuanze exited Rahul's palace, Dark Crow followed closely behind. 0

"Get lost!" Ye Chuanze shouted as he struck Dark Crow away with a palm, his tone icy. 0

"If you don't want to die, then don't follow me!" Without even glancing back at him, Ye Chuanze soared into the clouds and left. 0

Dark Crow was sent flying by his strike and spat out blood. He stood there, watching Ye Chuanze leave. 0

"Dark Crow, come in," Rahul suddenly called from within the palace. 0

Dark Crow remained unmoved by this command, standing still and continuing to watch Ye Chuanze's departing figure. 0

"Come in!" Rahul called out again. 0

Dark Crow heard this, pressed his lips together, and then withdrew his gaze, walking into the chamber. 0

"He hurt you?" Rahul said upon seeing him. 0

Dark Crow did not respond. 0

"How heartless! Just like before, not a bit has changed," Rahul remarked with a click of his tongue. 0

After a long while, Dark Crow finally spoke in a hoarse voice, "Is it alright to let him leave like this?" 0

"Don't worry, he'll come back. After being nurtured with blood for so long, how can a flower that has turned black return to the clouds? I worked hard and even took a sword for him to bring him back to the Demon Realm; it wasn't in vain. Those Demon Lords who died by his sword cannot have died for nothing..." A malicious smile appeared on Rahul's face as he spoke. 0

The flower I carefully nurtured, the Black Lotus cultivated with blood and corpses, cannot coexist in the pure land of Primordial. 0

The seeds of darkness were sown long ago; all I need to do is let that seed sprout and bloom, and in the end, I will get what I desire. 0
