The next day
When Ye Chuanze woke up from his slumber again, it was already noon, and the outside was brightly lit.
He couldn't help but frown; the discomfort throughout his body made him feel exceptionally uneasy. It was simply absurd. Hongjun had been utterly outrageous, indulging in such excesses and shamelessly flaunting it in broad daylight. It was hardly like him.
Even now, as he recalled the events of yesterday, he couldn't help but blush and feel deeply ashamed. His brows furrowed tightly as he lifted the thin blanket covering him and got out of bed, completely naked. His fair and slender body was covered with numerous dark purple marks. He casually picked up a long robe that had fallen on the floor and draped it over himself before turning to walk outside.
His walking posture was extremely awkward; his legs were slightly apart, and he walked with a stagger. That shameless old man! Ye Chuanze cursed under his breath as he opened the door and stepped out.
As he exited the room, Hongjun, who had been lying on the bed with his eyes closed, quietly opened his eyes and watched Ye Chuanze's departing figure.
Ye Chuanze soaked in the hot spring pool, where four massive dragon heads poured warm spring water down from above. He leaned against the rock wall, tilting his head back with closed eyes, relaxing and enjoying himself.
After being tormented by Hongjun yesterday, his body felt like it was falling apart. It was truly… ridiculous and unacceptable! Just thinking about what happened yesterday made Ye Chuanze frown again, feeling displeased. The one who was tormented to the brink of death wasn’t even him! That person who had been pushed to such extremes wasn’t him! No wonder he acted so recklessly!
Ye Chuanze thought that he should let Hongjun experience what it felt like to be on the receiving end of such treatment, to see if he would dare to push things to such extremes again. Unfortunately… he couldn’t overpower him. So all he could do was think about it. What kind of life could this be!
Suddenly, a very light sound of footsteps approached. Although the sound was soft, it couldn't escape Ye Chuanze's ears. He knew immediately who it was without having to think. In this Purple Cloud Palace outside of Thirty-Three Heavens, besides Ye Chuanze himself, only the palace's master, Dao Ancestor Hongjun, could come and go so freely.
Ye Chuanze slightly furrowed his brow but quickly relaxed again. With his eyes closed and a lazy expression on his face, he remained in the hot spring pool without moving an inch or even opening his eyes to glance at Hongjun approaching him.
A splash of water sounded as Hongjun entered the pool beside Ye Chuanze.
"Stay away from me," Ye Chuanze said coldly without opening his eyes.
Suddenly, an arm wrapped around his waist, pulling him firmly into an embrace that left no room for refusal.
Ye Chuanze found himself pressed against Hongjun's warm and solid chest, his face resting against Hongjun's muscular torso. Angered by being pulled into such an embrace, Ye Chuanze immediately opened his eyes but met Hongjun's dark and deep gaze—beautiful like a starry night sky.
"Be good and don't make a fuss," Hongjun said in a low voice.
Ye Chuanze suddenly fell silent; he could not withstand Hongjun's demeanor, which was cold and noble yet inexplicably gentle and indulgent, causing him to sink deeper into it time and again.
Hongjun reached out to stroke Ye Chuanze's dark, smooth hair, his movements tender and lingering, filled with affection. He lifted a handful of Clear Water, grooming the flowing locks of the person in his embrace.
Three thousand strands of hair entwined around my heart.
Ye Chuanze quietly leaned against him, his expression calm and indifferent.
In this moment, it was warm and serene.
Suddenly, Ye Chuanze felt a jolt in his heart, an ominous premonition washed over him. Those who cultivate the way have the sharpest intuition; they often sense the bad before the good. His expression changed abruptly as he pushed Hongjun away forcefully. With a playful leap, he stepped out of the bath, quickly grabbing a long robe to drape over himself and fastening his belt before hastily departing.
Only Hongjun remained in the bath; he glanced at his empty hands suspended in mid-air, his face expressionless as he lowered his gaze.
Ye Chuanze exited Purple Cloud Palace and flew downward, his face stern and brows furrowed. Upon reaching Thirty-Three Heavens, a wave of heat hit him; the scorching air felt as if it would roast a person alive. Ye Chuanze looked up and saw two golden suns hanging high in the eastern sky of the celestial realm. In an instant, an arrow-like streak of silver light shot up like a cold star with tremendous force, striking one of the golden suns.
In that moment, a young Three-Legged Golden Crow let out a painful cry, its golden wings trembling before it plummeted violently. A blazing ball of golden flame fell like a meteor towards the mortal realm, incinerating everything in its path. A few golden feathers drifted slowly through the air.
Hou Yi shot down the sun!
Ye Chuanze was taken aback; he recalled this matter that he had long since forgotten.
The remaining Little Golden Crow witnessed the tragic death of its brothers and was filled with fear. It curled up in the Nine Heavens, shivering with terror and wide-eyed with dread. Its brothers had already perished; perhaps it would be next. The young Little Golden Crow thought of its brothers' tragic fates and its own predicament at that moment; it opened its mouth to let out an angry and unwilling cry.
Lower Realm
Standing on a high mountain cliff with the God-Shooting Bow in hand, Hou Yi looked up at the sky, his jawline strong and defined. He had already shot down eight suns; reaching for his quiver on his back to shoot down this last calamity, he found it empty.
"Brat, how dare you!"
A furious shout rang out as Hou Yi looked up to see Demon Emperor Di Jun, Heavenly Empress Xihe, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi approaching.
Seeing that his father had arrived, the remaining Little Golden Crow immediately let out a desperate cry for help, each sound filled with sorrow and bloodshed.
Di Jun heard the voice and felt an overwhelming sorrow in his heart. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with rage that could not be contained. He spat out a mouthful of blood and shouted, "Return my son's life!" With that, he summoned his magical artifact and attacked Hou Yi fiercely, aiming to take his life.
Hou Yi was no match for Di Jun. At that moment, he held the God-Shooting Bow but had no Sun Shooting Divine Arrows, leaving him completely unable to defend against Di Jun's assault. He turned to flee, but Di Jun would not allow him to escape and pursued him relentlessly.
At this point, Di Jun's grief over the loss of his son had turned his eyes red and twisted his face into a mask of fury as he crazily chased after Hou Yi. However, none of his attacks aimed to kill; it seemed he wanted to torment Hou Yi further, venting his inner anger and sorrow as revenge for his deceased child.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi, dressed in flowing white robes, hovered in the sky with his hands clasped behind him. He frowned as he watched below; his brother was furiously chasing after Hou Yi. Throughout it all, he had not intervened. He understood the depth of his brother's sorrow and pain. Just thinking about the torment his brother was enduring filled him with murderous intent; he wished nothing more than to tear apart the one responsible for inflicting such grief upon him.
Yet, he could not intervene. He needed his brother to personally take action and kill Hou Yi; only then could his brother's hatred be resolved.
Hou Yi had already been beaten by Di Jun until he was spitting blood. One of Di Jun's strikes sent him flying, rolling on the ground before coughing up more blood from his throat. He spat out the blood in his mouth and scrambled to get up and run.
Di Jun flicked his sleeve and pursued him with a fierce expression.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi, suspended in the sky, glanced ahead with a furrowed brow. Not far away, the Twelve Ancestor Witches from the Witch Clan were rushing over. Their sole purpose for appearing at this moment was to rescue Hou Yi.
A cold smile appeared on Eastern Emperor Taiyi's handsome face; how could he allow them to interfere with his brother's revenge?
With a cold wave of his hand, countless swords appeared before him. "Go!"
Numerous flying swords shot toward Hou Yi from midair at an incredible speed that no one could evade.
"Not good!" shouted Di Jiang, one of the Twelve Ancestor Witches, upon seeing this scene.
He quickly summoned a magical artifact to shield Hou Yi. The flying swords struck Di Jiang's artifact and fell to the ground one after another.
"Ancestral Shaman!" Hou Yi looked up upon seeing the Twelve Ancestor Witches arrive and called out excitedly.
"Di Jiang, are you intending to oppose my brother and me?" Eastern Emperor Taiyi coldly stared at the Twelve Ancestor Witches and said.
Di Jiang looked at Eastern Emperor Taiyi with lingering fear and replied, "Hou Yi is one of our Witch Clan members; we cannot allow you to take his life. I ask the Demon Emperor and Eastern Emperor to show mercy and let this matter rest."
"No way!" Demon Emperor Di Jun firmly rejected. "Hou Yi killed my child; today I must take his life!"
"Big Brother, why waste words with him? Just fight! I've found him unpleasant for a long time!" The hot-tempered Zhurong spoke up.
"If you want to fight, then I, Di Jun, will accompany you to the end! Today, no one can protect Hou Yi!" Di Jun said coldly.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi had unknowingly stood beside Di Jun, the two standing shoulder to shoulder to face the enemy together.
Dressed in luxurious brocade, Heavenly Empress Xihe held Little Golden Crow and stood aside, watching the battle of the leaders of the Lich Clans.
Ye Chuanze had been watching for a long time. Seeing this scene, he sighed quietly. Hou Yi shooting down the suns was the fuse for the War of the Lich. After this, the Lich Clans would truly be plunged into a deadly struggle—Lich War, to the death.
Human strength cannot overcome destiny; the War of the Lich would ultimately proceed step by step toward its fated path. The ethereal principles of heaven and earth.
What we can do is only to preserve ourselves and our loved ones under this collapsing nest.
Ye Chuanze sighed and turned towards the human territory.
With ten suns in the sky, a devastating disaster was brought upon the earth and all Sentient Beings, including humanity. Ye Chuanze had a mission to protect humanity; now that they faced great calamity, he should go see what was happening in their territory.
Upon arriving at the human territory, the scene of devastation was unbearable for Ye Chuanze to witness.
The lost and confused humans saw his appearance and looked at him with hope in their eyes, calling out hopefully, "Immortal Master!"
Ye Chuanze suppressed his emotions and said to them, "A great disaster is about to erupt on this land; this peaceful land will turn into a battlefield filled with slaughter and bloodshed. If you are willing, come with me. Avoid Primordial and seek a piece of pure land amidst the chaos."
The humans were divided into two factions due to Ye Chuanze's words: one group was willing to leave with him, while another group expressed their unwillingness to leave their familiar homeland and chose to stay. Ye Chuanze felt that the Celestial Empire's attachment to their homeland had existed since ancient times; he did not force them but took those willing to leave away from the Primeval Continent.
In a great mountain in the far east of Primordial, Ye Chuanze chose a piece of land to settle this group of humans. This place was far from the Primeval Continent, far from the Lich Clans, far from war.
As Ye Chuanze had said, soon that briefly peaceful land of Primordial would become a battlefield.
This month we can resume updates, Mwah Mwah!
Love you all!
By the way, just a friendly reminder, a user level system has been implemented, hold on... let me copy what my friend said.
So, starting yesterday, a level system has been put into effect.
If you have any questions, you can go to this address→
However, users who registered and recharged before January 1, 2014 (excluding purchases made through Taobao) and bought VIP status are already considered senior VIP users, so this won't affect them much.
Regardless of whether you are a high-level VIP or not, you can take a look because it also mentions some discount information. I didn't quite understand it all, but it seems important...
You can check your level by clicking on the top of the interface where it says [My] - [Basic Information] before it is displayed on the current interface.
For users who have previously recharged through Taobao, there is no impact. New users should pay attention.
Mwah Mwah! Love you all!
