Quickly, Ye Chuanze's expression returned to normal. He took a light sip from his wine cup and asked calmly, "Where did you hear this?"
Minghe Old Ancestor did not answer but instead asked, "So, is this true then?"
Upon hearing this, Ye Chuanze put down his wine cup, looked at him with a half-smile, and asked again, "Where did you hear this?"
"Do not be angry, my friend. It was Nuwa the Sage who directed me to seek you," Minghe Old Ancestor replied.
"Oh?" Ye Chuanze's tone revealed no emotion as he raised an eyebrow slightly and said, "She sent you to find me?"
"That's right, my friend..." Minghe Old Ancestor then slowly recounted the events.
It turned out that ever since Nuwa became a saint by creating humanity, Minghe Old Ancestor felt something stirring within him, as if he had gained some insight. He sensed that a great opportunity awaited him, yet he could not discern what it was. It was akin to standing before an unparalleled beauty; you wish to glimpse her beauty but find her face veiled. Both situations are equally frustrating, leaving one unable to resist the urge to uncover what lies behind the veil.
After much contemplation without resolution, Minghe Old Ancestor decided to visit Nuwa, believing that since his opportunity began with her creation of humanity, he would surely find answers from her. Thus, filled with hope, he made his way to Buzhou Mountain to visit Nuwa and expressed his intentions. However, upon hearing him, Nuwa said nothing but coldly instructed him: "You should seek out Ye Chuanze in Yunze Cave for clarification. In the past, when I encountered obstacles, it was thanks to his guidance."
This led to Minghe Old Ancestor's current visit to Ye Chuanze. From Nuwa's words, he boldly speculated that her creation of humanity was greatly aided by Ye Chuanze's reminders. Ye Chuanze's reaction further confirmed his suspicions; Minghe Old Ancestor believed Nuwa had not deceived him and thus revealed everything.
Ye Chuanze fell silent upon hearing this; so it was indeed like that. But why did Nuwa act in such a manner? Ye Chuanze had guided Nuwa to enlightenment regarding the creation of humanity—a matter neither trivial nor grand—but certainly not something suitable for public discussion. At least Ye Chuanze kept this matter close to his chest and never disclosed it to anyone. He thought Nuwa would be the same and would keep quiet about it; he never expected her to share it so openly with Minghe Old Ancestor.
Seeing Ye Chuanze's silent expression, Minghe Old Ancestor said, "I hope you can offer more guidance; the Underworld River would be immensely grateful."
"It's not that I don't want to help you," Ye Chuanze replied with a troubled expression, "but I simply do not know how I can assist you."
Ye Chuanze possessed insider knowledge; the tale of Nuwa creating humanity was widely known during his human life and formed part of Chinese civilization—deeply ingrained in the blood and minds of every descendant of Yan and Huang. It was something one could not easily forget. That is why he reminded Nuwa about creating humanity and thus gained two portions of merit from it. However, regarding Minghe Old Ancestor, Ye Chuanze had never heard of him and was unaware of his opportunity.
Minghe Old Ancestor, upon hearing this, stubbornly said, "I hope you can guide me!"
Ye Chuanze, seeing his determined expression, thought he must be convinced that he knew what his opportunity was but was unwilling to share it. This made Ye Chuanze feel a headache. He truly did not know; if he had known, he would have told him long ago. Why bother with this? He really disliked people who were so stubborn and refused to listen to others, too self-righteous to believe in anyone else's words.
Minghe Old Ancestor was always petty and meticulous, holding grudges. If someone unfortunate enough offended him, they would likely face his revenge forever, seizing every opportunity to harm them. Ye Chuanze feared such people the most because they were patient and had excellent memories; if they held a grudge against someone, it would last a lifetime. Just imagine having someone like that behind your back, constantly looking for your weaknesses to destroy you—how could one not feel terrified?
Ye Chuanze did not wish to befriend Minghe Old Ancestor, nor did he want to offend him. After some thought, he had a rough idea of Minghe Old Ancestor's opportunity and began to speculate. Since Minghe Old Ancestor gained enlightenment during the creation of humanity by Nuwa, it must be related to the creation of Sentient Beings. Perhaps Minghe Old Ancestor bore the destiny of creating a race? Ye Chuanze found it hard to believe; what kind of race would someone like Minghe Old Ancestor, with such a temperament, create?
Minghe Old Ancestor was born from the Nether Blood Sea, which was formed from the umbilical cord of Pangu the Great. It gathered countless filthy blood and harbored endless resentment and murderous energy. With such origins, Minghe Old Ancestor inherently carried a sinister aura that made others uncomfortable.
After pondering for a long time, Ye Chuanze said, "The place where you were born, the Nether Blood Sea, has been desolate and lonely since the creation of the world by Pangu the Great. In this vast universe, everything can attain immortality. The human race is formed from spiritual energy; what is most lacking in the Nether Blood Sea?"
Upon hearing this, Minghe Old Ancestor's mind brightened as if a fog had been lifted. He suddenly stood up, excitedly saying, "Thank you for your guidance!" He hurriedly turned and returned to the Nether Blood Sea, moving like a gust of wind—coming quickly and leaving just as swiftly.
After he left, Ye Chuanze sat on a soft couch, pouring himself a drink while shaking his head and muttering to himself, "What kind of race will be created from this resentment and murderous energy? It will likely bring disaster rather than fortune!"
Three months later, Minghe Old Ancestor created the Asura Clan, with resentment transforming into females and murderous energy into males. The Asura Clan, regardless of gender, possessed enchanting beauty and entered the path through killing, known as the Asura Path. Minghe Old Ancestor established the Asura Cult, defining the Asura Path. Heaven bestowed him with Merit, allowing his cultivation to advance to the peak of mid-stage Quasi-Saint, enjoying the fortune of the Asura Cult. As long as the Nether Blood Sea did not dry up, the Asura Cult would not perish; thus, Minghe Old Ancestor would enjoy supreme Merit fortune.
On that day, while Ye Chuanze was seated in his cave meditating, he suddenly felt a surge of Merit. He opened his eyes abruptly and calculated with his fingers; it was clear that Minghe Old Ancestor's opportunity had come to fruition—creating the Asura Clan, establishing the Asura Cult, and setting up the Asura Path, all accompanied by heaven's bestowed Merit. Due to his previous guidance to Minghe Old Ancestor, heaven also credited him with a portion of that merit.
Ye Chuanze could only marvel at his good fortune; this continuous stream of Merit made him feel as if he were becoming a true Daoist. He accepted that layer of merit from Minghe Old Ancestor without guilt; after all, he had guided him before. Now that his opportunity had fully manifested and heaven granted him merit, it was only natural for him to receive part of it—a matter recognized by heaven itself.
At this point, Ye Chuanze couldn't help but recall how he had previously guided the Three Pure Ones in creating the Three Teachings, educating humanity and gathering disciples. Because of this guidance, heaven bestowed them with merit; their three corpses unified and achieved sainthood. However, throughout all this time, Ye Chuanze had never received even a fraction of merit. After pondering briefly about this discrepancy, he understood why. As a teacher for humanity, he enjoyed the fortune provided by human worship; heaven had already granted him merit rewards before. Everything he did afterward that benefited humanity was merely part of his duty—completely justified. Similarly, if he had remained inactive and indifferent toward humanity's affairs or ignored them entirely, heaven would surely have recorded it against him; divine retribution would be inevitable.
Once again feeling grateful for being a pragmatic person who never took petty advantages—taking small benefits could lead to disaster! He also took a moment to disdain heaven's stinginess and pettiness!
After the creation of the Asura Clan by the Minghe Old Ancestor and the establishment of the Asura Cult, the Primordial forces were essentially delineated.
The Eastern Daoist Sect, led by the Three Pure Ones, inherited the Daoist lineage. The Demon Race revered Demon Emperor Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi, with the Heavenly Palace recognized by the Dao Ancestor and the Heavenly Dao, while Yao Xian was considered orthodox. Nuwa conferred sanctity and created humanity, enjoying the fortune of humankind. The Minghe Old Ancestor created the Asura Clan and established the Asura Cult; as long as the Nether Blood Sea does not dry up, the fortune of the Minghe Old Ancestor will continue. The Witch Clan, led by the Twelve Ancestor Witches, established twelve tribes residing on the land.
In the West, Jieyin and Zhun Ti became saints and established Western Buddhism.
On the surface, the Primordial World appeared peaceful, but in reality, it was rife with turmoil and constant friction among various races, particularly between the two Lich clans.

Outside the Thirty-Three Heavens, in the Purple Cloud Palace,
Ye Chuanze leaned back on a soft couch, laughing heartily as he spoke to Hongjun, "Master, my senior brothers are really amusing! Oh my, they crack me up!"
Hongjun sat beside him, neatly dressed and maintaining an upright posture. His expression was calm yet his eyes sparkled with laughter as he looked at Ye Chuanze.
"They are truly talented! I am really impressed! Master, where did you find such gifted disciples?" Ye Chuanze couldn't contain his amusement.
After pondering for a moment, Hongjun replied seriously, "When I was traveling around, I encountered them. Seeing that they were three brothers born with auspicious signs and endowed with supreme Merit and long-lasting fortune, I couldn't miss out on such excellent disciples! So I took them in."
Upon hearing this, Ye Chuanze said with a hint of envy in his tone, "It's really a case of different fates for similar people. My senior brothers were eagerly taken in by you while I had to cling to you."
Hongjun smiled without saying a word and gently rubbed Ye Chuanze's head.
Early this morning, Ye Chuanze had come to Purple Cloud Palace to share his joy with Hongjun. This joy referred specifically to the matter of the Three Pure Ones taking in disciples, which made Ye Chuanze exceedingly happy.
The Three Pure Ones established the Three Teachings. With the foundation of this revered doctrine, the sect was formed, and even the palace was built; all that was left was to find disciples.
Laozi was extremely strict in accepting disciples. He searched throughout the Primordial realm but did not take in a single disciple, leading many to doubt whether he truly intended to accept students. Considering Laozi's usual demeanor of non-action and tranquility, where he seemed indifferent to everything, it was indeed possible that he felt this way. Just when everyone thought he would never take on disciples, he unexpectedly broke everyone's assumptions and accepted one!
The disciple Laozi took in was the only one he ever accepted, a man from the human race named Xuandu. The reason Laozi chose him was not due to his extraordinary talent or noble lineage, but rather because… it was said that he possessed great perseverance and could achieve great things. The reason being, this individual walked all the way to Kunlun Mountain to seek a master, overcoming countless difficulties and climbing up Kunlun Mountain. After being rejected by Laozi three hundred sixty-five times, he still persisted in his daily visits to pay his respects. A year later, Laozi was moved by his sincerity and perseverance and accepted him as a disciple.
At first glance, this seemed quite normal and inspirational; Xuandu could even be nominated as one of the top ten most touching figures of the year in the Primordial realm. However, the problem arose when Ye Chuanze, out of curiosity, wanted to see this person who had managed to touch the seemingly unmovable heart of Laozi and personally went to Kunlun Mountain to meet Xuandu.
Upon meeting Xuandu, Ye Chuanze's first impression was that he was an ordinary human man, somewhat awkward and stiff.
As a member of the human race, Xuandu had long heard of Ye Chuanze's fame and had grown up listening to stories about him. He showed great respect towards Ye Chuanze, answering all questions honestly and sincerely, which left Ye Chuanze feeling quite moved.
"Why did you walk all the way to Kunlun Mountain? Was it to show your respect for Laozi the Sage?" Ye Chuanze asked, having been curious about this question for a long time.
"No."
"Oh? Then what was it for?"
Xuandu replied expressionlessly: "I am human; humans cannot ride clouds or perform magic. I can only rely on my legs to reach Kunlun Mountain."
"..." Ye Chuanze.
Ye Chuanze cleared his throat and asked again: "Then why have you stayed on Kunlun Mountain for a year without leaving?"
Xuandu said: "Climbing Kunlun Mountain is already difficult and perilous; wanting to safely descend back is even more challenging. It is better to stay here and seek a master; if I do not succeed, I will die trying."
"......" Ye Chuanze thought, feeling heartbroken as tears streamed down my face upon learning the truth.
After much hardship, I finally found a perfect story of a talented disciple after searching high and low among all the capable individuals in the world.
Primordial's acceptance of disciples was also quite popular. Although Primordial appeared cold and indifferent, he was actually very competitive and strong-willed. When accepting disciples, he focused on their background and innate talent. However, he couldn't openly state that the most important factors were one's origins and background, as that would breed resentment. Thus, Primordial was more subtle in his approach.
He subtly set up the Twelve Gates of Mysterious Escape technique beneath Kunlun Mountain, declaring that anyone who could break through this formation and reach the top of Kunlun Mountain could become his disciple. This was quite cunning; who among ordinary people could break such a formation without some strength or luck? This effectively raised the quality and capability of the disciples under Expound Teachings. Of course, the final outcome was as expected; countless people returned defeated, having failed against the Twelve Gates of Mysterious Escape. While many sought to become disciples due to Sage's reputation, even more were blocked outside those twelve formations.
In the end, only nine individuals successfully broke through the Twelve Gates of Mysterious Escape to become Primordial's disciples, truly reflecting that saying about nine being the ultimate number. Expound Teachings was severely lacking in disciples, leaving Primordial quite distressed.
With the lessons learned from the failures of his two elder brothers, Sky-Connecting adopted a more lenient approach to accepting disciples. However, this leniency was excessive; practically everyone who came to seek him out was accepted, making it a rare opportunity amidst countless applicants. Compared to his two brothers who struggled to find disciples, Sky-Connecting had an overwhelming number of them—truly overcrowded.
Ye Chuanze watched the spectacle with amusement, laughing uncontrollably, especially at Primordial's face that seemed on the verge of breaking down yet held back—truly hilarious!
Hongjun ruffled his hair and asked, "Is it really that funny?"
"Yes! I'm dying of laughter," Ye Chuanze replied.
However, Hongjun's expression turned serious as he remarked, "Xuandu is someone worthy of great responsibility; he is a person of destiny."
Xuandu traveled to Kunlun Mountain as an ordinary mortal, overcoming numerous challenges with unwavering determination—humble yet steadfast—a person with potential. I was quite satisfied with my judgment; although Primordial was a bit hasty, he didn't make any major mistakes. As for Sky-Connecting... thinking about him made Hongjun frown. Intercepting Teachings... I feared there would be many troubles and disasters in the future!
