After Ye Chuanze spoke those words, the atmosphere in the room instantly turned cold. Rahul's gaze was fixed on him, his expression icy. 0

Ye Chuanze seemed completely oblivious to Rahul's frosty demeanor and continued, "You believe you have treated me well, that you did not destroy my Primordial Spirit, but instead humbled yourself to associate with me. This is what you consider treating me well. However, from my perspective, forcibly taking me as a treasure against my will and branding me with your spiritual mark to turn me into your mount is enough for me to hold a grudge against you." 0

After the battle between Rahul and Hongjun, Ye Chuanze believed that one significant reason for his demise was the disappearance of the spiritual mark or shackles placed within his Primordial Spirit by Rahul. There were only three ways to remove the spiritual mark inscribed in the Primordial Spirit: first, the person who placed the mark could voluntarily remove it; second, the marked individual could become powerful enough to break it; or third, if the person who placed the mark died, it would automatically dissipate. Given the circumstances at that time, the only possibility was that Rahul had died, which allowed the spiritual mark within Ye Chuanze's Primordial Spirit to dissipate and grant him freedom. 0

Rahul remained silent, continuing to stare at him. 0

Ye Chuanze shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and said, "Of course, this is not entirely your fault; after all, it is simply a matter of differing positions. You are powerful and high above, while I was merely a Spiritual Treasure without a physical form at that time. It is only natural for you to look down on me. However, that does not prevent me from resenting and disliking you." 0

After a long silence, Rahul finally spoke up, "That does not prevent me from being interested in you." He glanced over Ye Chuanze's bare and muscular body and said calmly, "Put on some clothes; I will wait for you outside." 0

With that, he turned away with a dark expression and left, his back appearing gloomy. 0

Ye Chuanze watched him leave for a long time before stepping toward the edge of the pool. He lifted his leg, revealing his long and fair thigh as he stepped out of the water. Bending down, he picked up his clothing—a deep purple robe embroidered with golden butterflies—and put it on. He tied a belt around his waist but wore nothing on his lower half, exposing his long and fair legs. 0

His expression was calm, as if he were not the one who had just been enraged. Once dressed, he walked outside. 0

In the courtyard outside the hall stood Rahul in black attire, facing away from Ye Chuanze. The bright moon was obscured by dark clouds tonight, and the stars were hidden from view; the night was exceptionally dark. Rahul stood alone in the deep night courtyard, his silhouette appearing somewhat lonely while Ye Chuanze stood behind him silently watching. 0

Seemingly sensing Ye Chuanze's arrival, Rahul turned around to face him. His deep-set eyes were cold as he asked, "Do you remember what you promised me?" 0

"I don't remember," Ye Chuanze replied flatly without any hesitation. 0

Rahul continued to look at him and said, "You once said that when you took form, you would drink with me." 0

"I did say that," Ye Chuanze replied clearly while looking at him. "But I did not say it to you. That statement was made regarding a proud and unruly Daoist named Rahul. As someone from the demon realm and a Demon Ancestor, you have no connection to me." 0

Hearing this, Rahul gazed deeply at him for a long time. Time seemed to pass slowly until finally he said, "Does it really matter whether I am of the Dao or of demons?" 0

Ye Chuanze's voice was cold and resolute as he replied, "The Dao and demons cannot coexist; there should be no intersection between us." 0

Once these words were spoken, another wave of chilling silence fell over them; the atmosphere grew tense. After a long pause, Rahul snorted coldly and violently flicked his sleeve as he declared fiercely, "If you want to sever ties with me, forget it!" 0

"Do you think that because Hongjun supports you I won't dare touch you? If you want to cut ties with me, then be a good disciple of Hongjun. Let me tell you this: it is absolutely impossible! You should give up on that thought; whatever I desire—be it person or object—no one else can lay claim to!" Rahul's gaze was sinister as he spoke in a chilling tone. 0

Ye Chuanze remained silent upon hearing the words, his expression still cold and unyielding, showing no emotion. It seemed he was completely indifferent to what Rahul had said, as if the person Rahul referred to was not him at all. 0

Rahul stared at him with a sullen gaze, his impatience growing. Ye Chuanze's clear attitude today of wanting to sever ties with him thoroughly enraged him. He blamed all the faults on Hongjun, convinced that it was Hongjun who had used sweet words to deceive Ye Chuanze, leading him to cut off their relationship. Consequently, Rahul's resentment towards Hongjun rose to a new height. He was furious, thinking back to how his God-Slaying Spear had spared Hongjun's life not long ago; it truly felt like a stroke of luck for Hongjun. 0

On the surface, Ye Chuanze appeared calm, but inside, his emotions were tumultuous and restless. Seeing Rahul's attitude made it clear that he was determined to entangle himself further with him. Ye Chuanze genuinely did not wish to have any more interactions with this Demon Ancestor. They were from completely different worlds—one a Disciple of the Daoist Sect and the other a supreme being of the demon realm—entangling themselves would only bring disaster. As the supreme being of the demon realm, Rahul was said to be invincible, so he had no need to worry. However, lacking such formidable power himself, if trouble were to arise, it would likely be him who suffered the consequences. 0

The saying "Dao and Demon cannot coexist" was not just a joke. A conflict between the Taoist Sect and the demon realm was inevitable. As a Disciple of the Daoist Sect and a direct disciple of the Dao Ancestor, there was no doubt that he stood firmly on the side of the Taoist Sect. If he continued to be entangled with Rahul, his position would become awkward when war broke out between Dao and Demon. To eliminate future troubles, Ye Chuanze had resolved to sever ties with Rahul, hence his earlier remarks. 0

However, Rahul resolutely rejected his words, clearly stating that it was impossible for him to break free from him! His attitude made it evident that he was determined to cling to Ye Chuanze, refusing to let go until death. He ruthlessly shattered Ye Chuanze's plans and cut off his escape route. 0

For this reason, Ye Chuanze could not help but feel distressed, yet he found himself powerless. Whether in the past or present, Rahul had always been arrogant and reckless; once he set his mind on something, no one could change it. 0

One wanted to sever ties while the other vowed never to let go; both were angry at each other for being ungrateful and unreasonable. They resembled enemies yet shared an understanding and recognition akin to friends. Though they called each other friends, their hatred for one another surpassed that of enemies. 0

Tonight, Rahul had originally planned for Ye Chuanze to accompany him for drinks as a fulfillment of an old promise. However, after this incident, he felt no desire whatsoever. Anger boiled within him as he looked at Ye Chuanze, feeling increasingly that this person was cold-hearted and unfeeling, making him want nothing more than to strangle him. To prevent himself from losing control and actually doing so, Rahul decided it would be best for him to leave early—out of sight, out of mind—to avoid being infuriated by this person. 0

Thus, he glanced at Ye Chuanze, speaking coldly: "I am leaving now; I will come back another time for drinks." 0

Ye Chuanze lifted his eyelids slightly and looked at him, saying: "Take care; it’s best if you don’t come again next time. If you do come, I won’t open the door for you." 0

Upon hearing this, Rahul arrogantly replied: "Do I need you to open the door when I come here?" 0

With a cold snort, Ye Chuanze ’s expression darkened as he spoke harshly: "If you dare intrude into my Cave again next time without permission, don’t blame me for truly severing our ties. I may not be able to deal with you directly, but if I really want to cut off our relationship, you won’t be able to stop me either. Don’t push me; if I lose my patience, I’ll go all out. It won’t be good for either of us." 0

While it was true that in a direct confrontation Ye Chuanze could not defeat Rahul, he felt confident in plotting against him behind the scenes. Even if he couldn’t destroy him outright, he could certainly give him a headache and disrupt his peace! 0

Realizing that Ye Chuanze was genuinely angry from his words, Rahul chuckled and said: "Are you threatening me? I’ll remember this." 0

With that, he laughed heartily twice before turning to leave. 0

Standing in place as he watched Rahul’s departing figure, Ye Chuanze maintained an expressionless face with inscrutable emotions. 0

After a long while, he finally turned around and walked into his chamber. 0

As for Rahul, after leaving Buzhou Mountain, he did not head directly back to the demon realm but instead went to the Purple Cloud Palace outside Thirty-Three Heavens. 0

Consistently arrogant in his actions, just like when he went to Buzhou Mountain Cloud Marsh Cave without notifying the Gatekeeper Boy but barged right in instead. The Primordial beings were very protective of their territory; they naturally disliked those who treated their Cave like their own backyard and wandered in freely. This was especially true for Ye Chuanze, who regarded Yunze Cave as his stronghold and believed its defenses were invincible against outside intrusions. 0

Now, with Rahul coming and going freely without any prior notice, it was a severe slap to his face. It also made him feel anxious; if Rahul harbored ill intentions towards him, he could easily take advantage of his unguarded moments to launch a surprise attack and take his life. This was the fundamental reason for his anger. Rahul instilled in him a great sense of worry, unlike Hongjun. Hongjun would not harm him, but Rahul might. 0

Upon arriving at Purple Cloud Palace, Rahul did not allow anyone to announce his presence and simply walked in. Naturally, Haotian could not stop Rahul, who easily bypassed him and entered the Purple Cloud Palace. 0

Hongjun sat with his eyes closed on the Lotus Platform in the Meditation Room, suddenly opening them. 0

"Since you have come, why not show yourself?" Hongjun said coldly. 0

"I knew I couldn't hide from you; it's really pointless," Rahul replied as he pushed the door open and walked in. Looking at him, he curled his lips into a mocking smile and said, "Hongjun, I truly don't understand your thoughts. Since you dislike me, why not keep me outside? With your abilities, it wouldn't be difficult." 0

"Am I supposed to stop you? Would you not come then?" 0

"Of course not. If I want to come, no one can stop me," Rahul stated. 0

Hongjun looked up at him and said, "Since stopping you is useless, why should I bother?" 0

"Heh..." Rahul laughed and said, "You certainly have a mouth full of Great Dao principles." As soon as he finished speaking, his tone suddenly turned cold: "Is that how you deceived Ye Chuanze with sweet words until he was utterly devoted to you?" 0
