The next morning, Ye Chuanze appeared in a phantom form, seated on the Lotus Platform, bidding farewell to Hongjun.
Hongjun stood with his hands clasped behind his back on the high steps, watching Ye Chuanze's gradually receding figure. After a long while, he turned and walked towards the lotus pond.
Suddenly, he paused, his expression darkening. Ahead, by the stone table at the lotus pond, a man dressed in black with his hair tied back sat on a stone bench, holding a cup and drinking. The man in black noticed his arrival and looked up at him with a fierce gaze. Then, with a mocking smile, he curled his lips and said in a low voice, "Long time no see, Hongjun. You're still as annoying as ever."
Hongjun's expression darkened further, and he replied coldly, "You have quite the nerve to come here."
"What is there to be afraid of? In this vast world, is there anywhere I cannot go?" Rahul sneered.
Rahul picked up the Wine Jug and filled a White Jade Cup placed on the table with wine. He then threw the filled cup towards Hongjun. "Try my wine; it's a specialty of the Demon Realm and much better than the bland Clear Water you drink."
Hongjun moved like lightning, extending his hand to catch the flying cup steadily. His long fingers, elegant as jade, gripped the White Jade Cup without spilling a drop of wine.
With an icy expression, Hongjun looked at Rahul and raised the cup to drink it all in one go. The spicy liquid flowed down his throat into his abdomen, igniting a warm sensation in his lower belly as if a fire had been lit.
Rahul watched him lazily and asked, "How does my wine taste?"
"Not bad."
"Tsk—" Rahul scoffed mockingly. "Hongjun, you're still so hypocritical and unwilling to admit defeat. My wine is far better than your Clear Water. Can you even call your drinks wine? How dare you show them off?"
Hongjun remained silent at these words; instead, he flipped his hand and took out a jar of wine from Mustard Seed Space, slamming it onto the table with a thud. His voice was cold as he challenged Rahul, "Try this wine!"
Rahul was unceremonious as well; he casually poured himself a cup from the jar and drank it down.
Hongjun lifted his garment and sat down, asking, "How is it?"
Rahul tasted it and replied, "It's a bit better than Clear Water."
Upon hearing this, Hongjun took out another jar of wine. "Try this one."
"How is it?"
"It's worse than Clear Water."
Hongjun's expression turned cold as he slammed the jar of wine onto the table. "Try this one!"
"It's not as good as the first jar of wine."
"Try this one."
"Are you sure this isn't really Clear Water?"
"Try this one."
"It's a bit better than the last one."
"Try this one."
"……"
An hour later, several rows of wine jars were placed on the ground by the lotus pond. Rahul's eyes were red, bloodshot, and the hostility between his brows deepened. His thin lips curled in a mocking smile as he spoke in a hoarse voice, "Hongjun, are you still unwilling to admit defeat? All of your... all of this wine combined doesn't even compare to mine."
Upon hearing this, Hongjun pressed his lips tightly together, his expression displeased.
"Ha—Hongjun, this land, this world, cannot brew wine as sharp as a knife."
Hongjun picked up a wine cup and brought it to his lips, coldly saying, "You came here just to say this?"
"Of course not." Rahul looked up at him and said, "I just wanted to see what the wine from Purple Cloud Palace tastes like. Now that I see it, it's nothing special." After a brief pause, he continued, "A long time ago, someone promised to drink with me. His promise has yet to be fulfilled; I can't let him be lured away by those with ulterior motives. What a reckless person he is, making promises so easily to anyone."
After saying this, he cast a meaningful glance at Hongjun.
Hongjun responded, "Indeed, he is a reckless person. Making promises without considering who the other party is; those ruthless individuals are not good companions for drinking."
"Ha—" Rahul scoffed. "Those who covet what belongs to others are not good either!"
"Some people are just self-righteous and delusional," Hongjun said without lifting his eyelids.
Hearing this, Rahul's expression darkened; those words struck a nerve. Ye Chuanze had never submitted to him; he was merely a nominal master.
Hongjun continued, "My disciple Hongjun cannot be bullied by outsiders. If one day someone dares to bully my disciple, don't blame me for being merciless!"
Rahul chuckled coldly in response. "I'll be watching closely."
A moment of quiet silence passed before Hongjun spoke again. "What do you have to say about Qishan?" Qishan was the mountain ravaged by Demonic Energy that Ye Chuanze had passed through yesterday.
"It was my negligence. After I sealed off the demon realm, many demons were unwilling to accept it; they dared not express their anger but there were always one or two who were reckless enough to challenge my authority," Rahul said sharply.
"Handle this matter yourself. Now that the evil spirits cannot emerge, you must be even more vigilant in overseeing the Demon Realm and should not leave easily," Hongjun said calmly.
Rahul's expression darkened at these words. He looked up at him and replied coldly, "You don't need to worry about it; I know what I'm doing. As for you, perhaps it's time for you to be concerned!"
Upon hearing this, Hongjun casually remarked, "There's no need for you to worry; I have my own plans."
Rahul snorted and fell silent.
Another hour passed, and Rahul slammed his wine cup heavily onto the table, saying, "The time has come; I'm leaving. Hongjun, don't even think about my things! And don't even think about getting involved!"
"Whether it's your belongings or not is still uncertain," Hongjun replied lightly.
"Hmph! What I deem mine is mine. Anything that comes into my hands has never been lost!"
Hongjun merely cast a meaningful glance at him without speaking.
Rahul turned and left without any hesitation.
Hongjun lowered his gaze and continued drinking, not expecting to see Rahul again under such circumstances. Since their last battle, where Rahul was defeated and died, he had not seen him until today.
This man must have come for the Black Lotus! A mysterious expression crossed Hongjun's face as he thought of Rahul's words, causing his gaze to darken. Rahul's attitude of treating Ye Chuanze as his possession was quite displeasing to him. His disciple should be free and unrestrained, wandering the world without being bound by anyone! Hongjun began to contemplate how he could create a rift between Ye Chuanze and Rahul, ensuring they could never reconcile.

Ye Chuanze was completely unaware of what had happened at Purple Cloud Palace after his departure; he was on his way to Mount Buzhou. Upon returning to Buzhou Mountain, he discovered that Fuxi and Nuwa had already emerged from their seclusion. Ye Chuanze couldn't help but feel delighted and hurried to visit Fuxi and Nuwa in their cave.
The Gatekeeper Boy led him through the Corridor to a delicate courtyard. The Rockery was rugged and adorned with vibrant flowers, and a long Corridor was built within a Lotus Pond, leading to a Pavilion. Fuxi and Nüwa were sitting inside the Pavilion, savoring their tea.
Ye Chuanze glanced at the exquisite Pavilion from a distance, a look of satisfaction flashing in his eyes. Remembering the thatched cottage of the Three Pure Ones he had seen before, Ye Chuanze felt even more pleased with Fuxi and Nüwa's Cave; indeed, comparison reveals superiority and inferiority. Ye Chuanze sighed inwardly, thinking that his efforts in guiding Fuxi and Nüwa had not been in vain, saving the aesthetic sense of these two celestial beings.
Initially, Fuxi and Nüwa's Cave was not much better than the thatched cottage of the Three Pure Ones. One was a thatched cottage, and the other was a Bamboo Tower. When Ye Chuanze first visited their Cave, he was genuinely shocked to find that the future Human Emperor and Sage lived in such a shabby place! After becoming familiar with Fuxi and Nüwa, Ye Chuanze began to brainwash them with some architectural style knowledge. Fuxi and Nüwa did not disappoint him; following his theoretical guidance, they practically built such an exquisite and beautiful courtyard.
Entering the Pavilion and sensing the improvement in Fuxi and Nüwa's cultivation, Ye Chuanze said, "Congratulations to both of you on your significant progress!"
Fuxi put down his teacup upon hearing this, looked at him, and revealed a gentle smile. "Congratulations to you as well; I hadn't had the chance to congratulate you on your own progress last time."
Looking at Fuxi, Ye Chuanze couldn't help but feel his expression twist. He recalled the illusion he experienced in the Qishan cave that day—stabbing his close friend to death—and realized he could no longer look directly at Fuxi.
Just then, Nüwa turned around and saw the twisted expression on his face. She frowned discontentedly and said, "What kind of expression is that? My brother kindly congratulates you, yet you look so unhappy!"
Ye Chuanze knew how much Nüwa cared for Fuxi; he couldn't provoke her affection for her brother. Seeing that Nüwa was genuinely angry, he quickly replied, "It's unjust! I naturally appreciate Fuxi's goodwill; how could I be unhappy?"
"Then why do you look like that?" Nüwa continued to frown and ask.
"There’s a reason for it; let me explain..." Ye Chuanze recounted what had happened to him in Qishan to Fuxi and Nüwa but subconsciously omitted the part about Demonic Energy, only mentioning it was caused by a Fox.
Upon hearing this, Nüwa immediately became furious and slammed the table. "You Ye Chuanze! My brother treated you sincerely, yet you could be so ruthless!"
Ye Chuanze felt truly innocent in this situation; his knees hurt from the pressure.
Looking at the enraged Nüwa, Ye Chuanze swallowed hard and spoke with difficulty. "That was an illusion... It was precisely because my bond with Fuxi is deep that I could tell it was fake. Since it was fake, I naturally acted without hesitation."
Nuwa's expression remained displeased upon hearing this. In her view, Ye Chuanze had acted too harshly, stabbing Fuxi in the heart without a moment's hesitation, which was truly chilling.
Ye Chuanze took out the golden bell obtained from the cave and handed it to Nuwa, trying to please her by saying, "This is for you; it suits you perfectly. The moment I saw it, I thought of you."
Fuxi, who had been quietly sitting aside without speaking, finally spoke up, "Nuwa, accept it! After all, it's Ye Chuanze's heartfelt gesture."
Nuwa remained unmoved by his words. It seemed she was genuinely upset this time and refused to listen to Fuxi.
Fuxi glanced at Ye Chuanze and said in a clear voice, "I trust Ye Chuanze. His feelings for me are as sincere as mine for him; he is not a heartless person."
Ye Chuanze quickly nodded in agreement, "Fuxi is absolutely right. Fuxi is my best friend, and I have treated him with all my sincerity, without any pretense!"
Seeing that both Fuxi and Ye Chuanze had spoken in this manner, Nuwa had no choice but to relent. She merely snorted coldly and glared at Ye Chuanze, threatening, "If you dare to do anything to hurt my brother, I will not spare you!"
"I wouldn't dare! I wouldn't dare!" Ye Chuanze quickly replied.
Nuwa gave a cold snort, considering the matter settled.
