The encounter between Rahul and Hongjun in Ye Chuanze felt like a fateful meeting of destined rivals. They were meant to meet, meant to oppose each other, and only one of them was supposed to survive; everything seemed so natural and inevitable.
Long before Ye Chuanze learned that Rahul was provoking the powerful beings of Primordial, the figure of the Purple-Clad Immortal he had encountered at the Immortal Pool surfaced in his mind. The Purple-Clad Immortal was incredibly strong, unfathomable, and no less formidable than Rahul. Ye Chuanze had a vague premonition that the only one capable of fighting Rahul in the Primordial World would be this Purple-Clad Immortal. Ye Chuanze believed that ultimately, Rahul would face that Purple-Clad Immortal, perhaps even meet his end at their hands.
Ye Chuanze never thought that a reckless and murderous immortal like Rahul would have a good ending. The oppressive force of the Heavenly Dao constantly weighed down on him, and he felt more clearly than anyone else how powerful and unyielding it was. Indeed, Rahul was strong, but his strength was not enough to contend with the Heavenly Dao. The Heavenly Dao had its own principles, and the newly born world of Primordial was still too fragile and incomplete. Thus, the Heavenly Dao intervened to regulate and restrain this nascent world, guiding its development. Any factor threatening the safety of the Primordial World would be ruthlessly destroyed by the Heavenly Dao.
To illustrate: Pangu opened up the heavens and created Primordial, giving rise to this new world. At the same time, the Heavenly Dao was born to regulate and govern it; it acted like a caretaker diligently protecting Primordial. When Pangu opened up the heavens, the Three Thousand Deities and Demons perished—this was the Heavenly Dao eliminating disruptive elements threatening the safety of the Primordial World. The Three Thousand Deities and Demons, born before the Dao, were powerful and unruly, unrestrained by any regulations. Their strength and indifference to life posed the greatest threat to Sentient Beings within the Primordial World. After their demise, countless new lives gradually emerged in Primordial.
There is a reason for the saying that evil cannot triumph over good; if evil were to prevail with its reckless, bloody, and merciless methods, this world would surely be on the brink of destruction. Hence, there exists the truth that evil cannot overcome good—not because evil is incapable but because it cannot succeed against good. Unfortunately for both Rahul and Ye Chuanze, they were categorized as evil by the Heavenly Dao.
Ye Chuanze felt deeply troubled by this; he was genuinely a kind-hearted, sunny, upright young man—how could he be classified as part of evil? Mercilessly suppressed by the Heavenly Dao, he couldn't even transform his form. Bearing the identity of Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus, Ye Chuanze felt deeply worn out; it wasn't his fault that he was born into such circumstances! He vowed that he never harbored thoughts of revenge against society; he did not wish for destruction at all!
Sadly, the Heavenly Dao paid no heed to his inner thoughts and continued to suppress him mercilessly.

Rahul was never one to sit idle. After spending some time doing nothing in his Cave, one bright sunny morning he sat atop Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus and leisurely flew towards the interior of Primordial. Ye Chuanze, who was being ridden beneath him, cursed him once again: die, die, die! Ye Chuanze could tolerate being used as someone else's treasure or tool for killing without mercy but could not endure being treated like a beast or mount. Being ridden upon was a tremendous insult!
In his heart, Ye Chuanze always viewed himself as an immortal on equal footing with Rahul. He believed they were both immortals; neither was nobler or baser than the other. There was only a difference in strength—his power was inferior to Rahul's, which is why he found himself bound to Rahul's side. He was willing to be used by Rahul as a weapon for killing but refused to be ridden! As an immortal, his pride would never allow him to be treated like a horse or beast by another immortal; he would rather die than endure such humiliation!
However, Rahul thought differently; in his eyes, Ye Chuanze had not yet taken human form and was merely an innate treasure. No matter how precious a treasure might be, it could never compare to an immortal's dignity. It was only natural for him to ride atop Twelfth-Grade Annihilation Black Lotus.
Ye Chuanze and Rahul were completely on different wavelengths; one considered himself a sage, while the other treated him like a treasured artifact. It was no surprise that Ye Chuanze eventually turned against Rahul, pulling a fast one on him. Rahul never understood what he had done to offend Ye Chuanze. He felt he had been good enough to Black Lotus, so why did Black Lotus betray him?
Regardless of how Ye Chuanze cursed Rahul in his heart, he still dutifully followed Rahul's commands, allowing him to ride comfortably on his back as they flew towards the Primordial interior.
Suddenly, a violent surge of magical energy erupted ahead. Rahul, who had been somewhat disinterested, perked up and eagerly said, "Black Lotus, let’s fly over and take a look!"
Ye Chuanze silently mourned for the two fighting ahead. What bad luck they had to choose this moment to battle, especially during the great demon lord's patrol, only to catch the attention of the dark overlord. He mourned without sympathy as he quickly flew forward.
When Ye Chuanze saw the Purple Robed Daoist engaged in combat with a stranger clad in Black and Red Armor, he couldn’t help but be slightly surprised; he hadn’t expected to see him again so soon. Then a twisted emotion rose within him; he hadn’t forgotten that when the Purple Robed Daoist left, he had warned, "Black Lotus, don’t let anyone capture you." At that time, Ye Chuanze had dismissed it, thinking he wouldn’t be so useless as to be easily captured.
As it turned out…
The past was indeed hard to look back on!
Upon Rahul's sudden appearance, both fighters on the battlefield turned to glance at him. The Man in Black and Red Armor shot Rahul a disdainful look before shifting his gaze away. That expression and attitude were arrogantly dismissive, as if Rahul were nothing more than an insignificant ant beneath his feet—too trivial to warrant any attention.
Ye Chuanze thought to himself, you're finished!
Sure enough, Rahul's expression darkened immediately as he glared at the Man in Black and Red Armor.
Ye Chuanze felt that if this Man in Black and Red Armor were to fall at the hands of the Dao Ancestor, it would be considered fortunate; if he were unfortunate enough to fall into Rahul's hands… well! Even heaven wouldn’t save you!
In contrast to the Man in Black and Red Armor’s contemptuous demeanor, the Purple Robed Daoist regarded Rahul with a much more serious expression. His gaze held a hint of scrutiny and contemplation. When his eyes fell upon Ye Chuanze, who was being ridden by Rahul, his expression changed abruptly, becoming more vigilant.
Ye Chuanze secretly observed Purple Robed Daoist's expression and couldn't help but secretly thought, this is the difference between cannon fodder and the protagonist! The Black and Red Armored Man with no eyesight is destined to be cannon fodder, that's for sure.
