After a day of emergency treatment at the hospital, I miraculously woke up. Although my body was still weak, I took a lot of special medicine to relieve the pain. I stood at the door of the ward, watching the caregiver chat with my grandmother, and I couldn't help but smile.
My grandmother is old and has poor memory; she has long forgotten me. But she remembers Chuming. She always says that Chuming is the best granddaughter-in-law in the world. I smiled and said nothing.
When Du Ming returned, I spoke up: "When I die, just tell my grandmother that I went around the world to shoot videos, okay?" Du Ming was slightly taken aback but nodded, "Okay."
"I don't want my grandmother to be sad."
"I understand."
I smiled, "Let's go."
"Where to?" Du Ming asked.
"To a bar."
I wanted to see what the place Chuming often visited was like. The bar was lively. As soon as Du Ming and I entered, I felt the gaze from the second floor. Chuming stood on the second floor, looking down at us coldly. Shen Rou was right beside him, smiling brightly.
Du Ming led me to a corner seat. I sipped my drink and looked up at Chuming. Shen Rou followed my gaze, her expression slightly changing. She reached out and linked her arm with Chuming's, tilting her head to look at him with a charming smile.
Chuming furrowed his brows but did not push her away. Shen Rou leaned in closer to him. Chuming lowered his head and said something, causing Shen Rou's face to turn pale as she slowly released her grip on his arm. Chuming then stepped forward. Shen Rou gritted her teeth and once again wrapped her arm around his, playfully saying, "A-Ming, there are too many people over there, I'm scared..." Chuming glanced at her with a sharp gaze. Shen Rou shivered in fear and quickly let go of him. Only then did Chuming take her hand and lead her into the private room.
I lowered my head and chuckled lightly. "What's wrong?" Du Ming asked. "Chuming's left hand used to be exclusively mine." I paused. Du Ming took a sip of his drink and suddenly said, "Come on, let's go get revenge." "Huh?" Before I could react, Du Ming pulled me up. He led me to the door of the private room.
As we pushed the door open, the noisy sounds inside instantly quieted down. Everyone turned to look at me and Du Ming with complex expressions. In the past, they all called me sister-in-law. But now, they stood with Shen Rou. Shen Rou sat beside Chuming, smiling triumphantly. Du Ming held my hand and whispered in my ear, "Don't be afraid, I'm here." I smiled back, "I'm not afraid."
Shen Rou raised a glass and walked up to me, smiling brightly, " Juan, who is this gentleman? Your new boyfriend?"
I shook my head, "No."
Shen Rou turned to Du Ming, " Manager Du, I am a good friend of Juan. I would like to toast you."
Du Ming looked at her coldly and did not move.
Shen Rou pushed the glass toward him, " Manager Du, I'll drink to you; you can do as you please."
Du Ming sneered, "Miss Shen, I advise you to be a little kinder; otherwise, I will ruin your reputation."
Shen Rou's face stiffened, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't know?" Du Ming raised an eyebrow, "Causing trouble abroad and then coming back with a new face; do you really think no one knows?"
Shen Rou's face turned pale, "Don't talk nonsense!"
Chuming stood up and walked over to Shen Rou, looking coldly at Du Ming, " Manager Du, don't target Xiaorou; she is not that kind of person."
I chuckled softly, "Chuming, do you really understand what kind of person she is?"
