Tom's heart was filled with humiliation, and every forced imitation of a dog's bark felt like a blow to his own dignity. Toad stood aside, his eyes revealing an undisguised jealousy and anger. He considered himself loyal to Mario, having done many things far beyond the despicable actions of Tom, yet he had never received such direct and obvious recognition and praise.
Toad was filled with anger towards Tom, unable to understand why someone who seemed so lowly, even willing to sacrifice self-respect to play the role of a dog, could receive such attention and joy from Mario. This anger stemmed not only from jealousy, but also from a deep-seated desire within him - a desire to be acknowledged by Mario, to stand in a more valued position.
After Mario shifted his attention, Toad felt even more lost and lonely. He secretly vowed to find a way to become indispensable in Mario's eyes again. However, this jealousy and desire also deepened Toad's hatred towards Tom, and he secretly planned how to make Tom pay for everything today in the future.
Mario had a somewhat ambiguous expression on his face, with a hint of inexplicable light flashing in his eyes. He seemed somewhat satisfied, even surprised, by Tom's extreme adaptability and submissive attitude. In this twisted court game, Tom's complete submission seemed to give Mario an unprecedented sense of control and victory, which made him even more intoxicated in the sick world he had created.
Mario stood up with satisfaction, a smile of admiration on his face. He looked at Tom still on the ground imitating a dog's bark and said, "What a good dog you are, Toad!" He then turned to Toad with a serious look in his eyes and commanded, "Take him back and give him more training. He needs to learn all the acrobatics and everything else!" His tone was firm and unquestionable, as if he had already considered Tom as a dog to be trained thoroughly.
After that, Mario walked towards the balcony door, his expression suddenly becoming somewhat annoyed. "Ugh... another meeting to attend. It's so annoying," he grumbled, seemingly feeling extremely frustrated about the upcoming official business. Without looking back, Mario casually kicked open the balcony door and left the place in long strides, leaving Toad and Tom to handle everything that followed.
Toad watched as Mario disappeared through the door, then turned around and looked at Tom with a cold, determined gaze, already planning how to subject Tom to stricter "training" in order to make him a truly obedient and capable "good dog" for various performances.
Just as Tom thought he could return to his human form after Mario left, Toad slapped him hard across the face. Toad's eyes were filled with anger and disdain as he sternly scolded, "Get down! You filthy dog!" His voice was icy and authoritative, instantly robbing Tom of the courage to resist.
Tom felt a burning pain in his cheeks, his heart filled with humiliation and despair. Faced with Toad's dominant attitude, he could only weakly lie back down, trembling all over, filled with endless hatred and confusion, not understanding why he had to endure such treatment. Under Toad's fierce gaze, Tom dared not make any further movement, only silently enduring this humiliation, hoping for a possible turn of events in the future.
