The Black Aircraft glided through the clouds, sunlight reflecting off the Energy Shield. The craft had concealed its form, moving forward like a ghost.
Ahead, the Faucet became increasingly clear; with the naked eye, one could see the bustling crowd circling around it, yet no one dared to make a move.
Lin had been here for over half an hour. Crossing Yang Lake was not that simple; even with the aircraft, this was all he could manage.
According to his calculations, in at most half an hour, the higher-ups from Teacher Bai's side would likely arrive as well.
As he noticed the crowd drawing nearer, Lin had no choice but to stop and hide above the clouds, observing below to assess the situation.
The Energy Shield perfectly concealed Lin within the mist. He casually tapped on a stone to wake it from its slumber, hoping it would help him scout the area.
"What's up? Have we arrived?"
The stone creaked as it extended and vibrated, like someone just waking up stretching.
"Old Buddy, can you be a bit more reliable? We're in a critical moment here."
Seeing the stone's lazy demeanor made Lin feel a headache. He shook the stone vigorously until it was fully awake.
"Alright, alright, I got it!"
The stone floated to the edge of the aircraft and quietly extended its head out. The scene below was immediately captured by the Camera.
Inside the Camera, splashes of water increased; the momentum of the Faucet had weakened significantly, indicating that its energy was nearly depleted. A jumble of debris floated in the surrounding waters, resembling a ship that had encountered a maritime disaster.
Originally distant onlookers were now restless, moving closer to the water column. Many bold individuals began searching for items around its perimeter.
Furrowing his brow, Lin carefully observed those people. He realized that not all of them were members of the Hundred-Man Team; there were several other groups present as well.
During the treasure-seeking process, conflicts broke out frequently among them, with some even resorting to physical fights, resulting in numerous injuries.
"It seems a bit tricky!"
Shitou's dull voice rang in Lin's ears. They both understood that this was a competition, and if Lin Zhen wanted to find Crystal, he would inevitably run into those people.
Running into them would lead to a fight, and dealing with those individuals would be quite troublesome.
"Tsk!"
Lin grimaced, missing Fatty. If Fatty Chen were here, he would surely come up with a clever idea; his mischievous nature always had its uses.
"How about this? You go to the mall and buy some mini robots, then let those robots push the supplies to the shallow water area, and you can collect those items afterward."
Shitou's suggestion was indeed good, and it sparked an idea in Lin's mind.
"Shitou, bring the Camera closer and see what exactly they are interested in!"
Lin's face lit up with excitement as he seemed to have come up with a good plan. He carefully observed the people on the lake's surface.
After watching for a while, Lin had guessed most of it. Most of these people were fighting over a type of box that was neither stone nor metal, while some were dragging various instruments.
It wasn't hard to deduce that those boxes probably contained Geothermal Crystals, as they were the most valuable items in the ruins.
With a clearer understanding, Lin's expression grew even more cheerful. He nodded and instructed Shitou to put away the Camera. The two quietly made their way to a location away from the water column.
...
Since he had sent his location to Bai Quexin, Lin landed at the designated spot. Fortunately, there was a thicket nearby that provided him with cover.
The thicket was dense and led directly to the lakeside. Lin Ke easily approached the lake without being noticed.
He put away the flying device and crouched in the bushes, watching the water column through the stones. It was a few thousand meters away from the water column, and those explorers would not notice him here.
"The position is just right, Stone. Send me a screenshot of that type of box from earlier."
Stone didn't know what kind of medicine was sold in Lin Hulu, so he could only do as instructed and sent him the photo.
Lin touched his wristband, and as soon as the Black Light flashed, Edible, with a body like a calf, appeared beside him. It had grown quite a bit since they last met.
Patting Edible's head, Lin held up the image in front of it and said, "Edible, do you see these boxes? If you can get your hands on this stuff, I'll let you eat your fill tonight!"
Edible's eyes flickered as it communicated with Lin telepathically, "How many do you need?"
"The more, the better!"
With Lin's smiling gaze upon it, Edible waved its forelimbs and summoned all the Destruction Bugs from the Destruction Nest, a dense mass of them lying flat on the ground.
"Be careful to hide; don't let anyone spot you!"
Lin reminded them once more. Edible nodded confidently.
Under Edible's command, the Destruction Bugs split into two teams and quietly slipped into the water like a black line, drifting toward the water column.
The Destruction Bugs were Advanced biological species; they could traverse any terrain. They could fly in space, so going underwater was no challenge for them.
Now it was Lin's waiting time. He lightly tapped his chin with his index finger, keeping a close watch on the direction of the Faucet, fearing any unexpected changes.
Edible proved to be quite capable and did not disappoint Lin. The first batch of Destruction Bugs returned in about five minutes, dragging back three boxes of varying sizes.
All the boxes were identical in style—plain rectangular boxes that looked like suitcases—but their sizes varied greatly; one was only twenty centimeters long while another was over a meter long.
The box was made of an unknown material, feeling somewhat warm to the touch and resembling stone in appearance.
There were no locking mechanisms on the box. Lin Qing lightly pressed the protrusion on the top of the box, and it opened.
At the moment the box was opened, Lin immediately felt a rise in temperature as a wave of heat surged from within, warming his face.
Inside the box were chunks of reddish stones of varying sizes, crystal clear, and they felt pleasantly warm to the touch.
"That's right! This is Geothermal Crystal! It's still in its raw form, unprocessed, with energy that is most original and pure!"
The moment he saw the crystals, Lin couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement, almost bursting into laughter to release his joy.
After communicating with the stones, Lin realized that just the crystals in this box would be enough for him for ten uses; that large box could probably provide enough for fifty!
Once he confirmed that they were indeed crystals, Lin confidently waved his hand and said, "Go! Edible, continue dragging it back, prioritize the large box!"
"How much can I eat tonight?"
Edible's red eyes sparkled with cunning; not only had it grown in size, but it had also become quite clever and learned to bargain.
"See these crystals? You can eat as many as you want!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Edible's sturdy body plunged into the water with a splash; it seemed that it was also tempted!
