The speed of the VIP Private Jet was still very fast; in just half an hour, Lin and the others had already arrived at the airport on the outskirts of Snowy Mountain.
"Mr. Lin, Dream Sister, we will be landing in three minutes. Please prepare yourselves," said the Flight Attendant with a standard smile.
"Got it, thank you. We need to change our clothes, so please don't come in to disturb us. We'll go down ourselves after we land," Lin replied politely. Although his smile was somewhat forced, he managed to smile.
Since coming to this world, Lin's biggest change has been his understanding of social etiquette. He was no longer the stubborn Lin with a coffin-like expression.
"Alright, Mr. Lin. We will have an Agent waiting for you and Dream Sister to provide Land services. Please do us the honor of giving us this opportunity."
"Okay, thank you," Lin said sincerely this time. He didn't expect such treatment; being a VIP really had its perks with full-service treatment!
Once the Flight Attendant left the room, Lin quickly took Dream Source to the bedroom area and retrieved the cold-resistant clothing he had purchased from the suitcase.
Each piece cost 10 Hero Coins and worked remarkably well; they were thin like cicada wings and could withstand temperatures as low as minus one hundred degrees.
After putting on the clothes, Lin and Mengyuan made their appearance again.
Lin wore a black trench coat, slightly loose gray jeans, and high-top leather boots, looking like a secret agent—handsome and striking.
Dream Source's outfit was exactly the opposite of Lin's: a long pink top paired with tight pants and plush-lined deerskin boots, making her look fifty percent cuter!
"Put it on!"
Lin took the white cat ear earmuffs from Dream Source and put them on her before pulling her outside.
With Dream Source like this, Lin always had the illusion that he wasn't with a girlfriend, but rather a cute creature from another dimension.
"Have a wonderful journey!"
With the sweet voice of the Flight Attendant, Lin and Mengyuan stepped off the Private Jet.
...
The biting cold wind made Lin shiver. Even though he was wearing a winter coat, he could still feel the bone-chilling cold.
This coldness was not just a physical sensation; it also came from visual stimuli, auditory stimuli, and even the air here carried a chilling taste.
Everywhere he looked was covered in pristine white snow, complemented by patches of green from the pine forests, creating a refreshing feeling.
What lay before him was just the tip of the iceberg. Looking further up, he could see mountains completely blanketed in white snow, under a slightly gloomy sky that was often shrouded in dark clouds.
The strange thing was that even at the foot of the mountain, one could see mist rising from the peak, resembling a fairyland and leading one to suspect that immortals might reside there.
"This is Snowy Mountain."
A bright smile spread across Lin's face. It was hard to imagine that such a cold place could exist in the scorching summer heat.
Summer held no significance for this place; it remained hidden in a corner with scarce sunlight, allowing it to maintain its icy demeanor.
By the time he came to his senses, Lin realized that Dream Source was gone, and soon after, he heard her laughter.
He saw Dream Source running in the snow, either making footprints in various shapes or bending down to scoop up a handful of snow and toss it into the air.
She was just a child who had never seen snow before, so excited and so joyful.
With a smile, Lin didn't think much of it and slowly walked down the stairs.
At the bottom, an Agent was already waiting for him. "Mr. Lin, your luggage has been placed on the Snowmobile. We have booked you the best hotel. Would you like to go rest at the hotel now?"
"Sure, let's go."
Lin replied casually, but then he thought about it and felt something was off. He asked, "Is the hotel far from here? Can we walk there?"
"It's quite far. If you take the Snowmobile, it will take about half an hour. Walking would be difficult and could take over three hours."
Hearing the Agent's response, Lin's expression dimmed a bit as he turned to look at Dream Source, seemingly saddened by the thought of disappointing her.
"How about this? You all wait for us outside the airport; we'll walk to the entrance."
"Okay, Mr. Lin. We'll get moving right away. Please try to hurry because it's getting dark. Our journey might be difficult at night and could take much longer."
"Understood, thank you."
Nodding, Lin walked over to Dream Source. Since they couldn't walk to the hotel, they would have to compromise and let her play in the airport for a while.
The airport here also had a unique local charm; aside from the landing runway for passenger planes, everything else was covered in thick snow, which could provide some fun for Dream Source.
"Aliens! We're leaving!"
Waving at Dream Source, Lin Da shouted.
Upon hearing this, Dream Source turned her head, her cat ears twitching with the movement, and her amber eyes blinked, resembling a Cat Person.
"Boyfriend, look! I made ice cream!"
Running to Lin's side, Dream Source raised her hand, revealing a lopsided and ugly "ice cream" that looked quite unappealing.
However, what Lin noticed was not the "artwork" in her hand but her bright red fingers. The cold-resistant suit only covered her body; her hands and head had no protection against the cold.
Grabbing the snowball from Dream Source's hand, Lin tossed it to the ground angrily and said, "Why aren't you wearing gloves? Look at your hands; they're frozen like this!"
"My ice cream!" Dream Source exclaimed, disappointment evident in her eyes.
"Put on gloves!"
Lin didn't care; he reached to grab the gloves hanging around Dream Source's neck, but she turned her head to avoid him.
"I won't!"
Dream Source pouted, looking angry like a sulking child, stubbornly refusing to look at Lin.
Indeed, he was being overly assertive. Although Lin was worried about Dream Source, his actions were a bit excessive, and he couldn't blame her for being upset.
Rubbing his nose, Lin Ye realized that he had been too impulsive just now.
There was no other way; Lin had to find a way to make up for it.
He quickly walked over to the pine tree and pulled down a hanging icicle. The trees here were adorned with crystal-clear icicles of various sizes, visible everywhere.
With a shake of his left hand, the carving knife Shadow Stitch was taken out from the System Backpack and appeared in his grasp.
“Zzz!”
Lin's left hand moved swiftly, snowflakes flying around. After a moment, he put away Shadow Stitch, lightly blew on the icicle, and it transformed into a sparkling Ice Crystal Rose, shining even more beautifully than a gem.
“Here’s this rose for you. Don’t be angry anymore; I was wrong just now.”
Pouting, Lin said this with a tone that sounded quite insincere, but his furtive glances at Dream Source's expression betrayed him.
Lin Zhen was in love.
“Wow! So beautiful!”
Dream Source's previously pouting lips instantly widened, her eyes sparkling with stars as she reached out for the Ice Crystal Rose.
“Hey, you can only have it if you wear gloves.”
“I’ve got them on!”
This time, Dream Source was particularly obedient, raising her hands high, her fluffy gloves almost touching Lin's cheek.
Lin handed the Ice Crystal Rose to Dream Source, then adjusted her earmuffs and put on her mask. Fully armed, he nodded and pulled her along as they walked outside.
"Are your hands still cold?"
"Not at all, boyfriend. You have no idea, after touching those snowflakes, my hands feel warm!"
"You're silly! That's just because they're frozen and you can't feel them!"
...
A tall and a short figure walked towards the airport exit, strolling through the snow with the crunching sound beneath their feet.
Their hands were tightly clasped together; even through their gloves, they could feel each other's warmth.
As their silhouettes gradually faded away, they eventually became mere dots, disappearing into the airport.
"The scene we just saw must be the most beautiful picture of Snowy Mountain today!"
Out of nowhere, a photographer captured the moment of their departure, adding it to his collection.
In pink handwriting beneath the photo, it read: "Snowy Mountain's sweetest couple."
